Usually this type of toys have a ton of single use plastics (AKA parts you’d never use ever again,) but with this toy, every component is awesome and significant. Hats off to those who designed this toy!!
That would actually be pretty dope for a campaign. The party has to go through the rooms of a dungeon to grab artifacts and awaken the king dragon or something

Those existed, even in the 90s! I was a dinosaur-kid, so one year my parents gave me this educational toy; it was a slab of rock with parts of a triceratops skeleton buried inside of it. You had to chip the skeleton out bit by bit. It wasn't as fun as this; the rock was *way* too hard for a kid to dig through (and the piddly needle they gave you could literally only scratch the surface), and the scientifically-accurate bones meant that it was hard for a kid like me to understand how to assemble the fossil once you actually dug everything out.
My brother had one of these types of toys. Those little digging "tools" are actually so hard and uncomfortable to use. The fake dirt is always hard as an actual rock and the little tools to break through feel practically useless. Plus the stuff manages to chip off and get dust everywhere. It's really not as fun as it seems, unfortunately. (Unless the fake dirt breaks easily for you)
Man, I remember when the only dirt toy I had was those eggs/bricks you dig little dinosaur skeletons out of. And most of the time if I wanted to play with dirt I had to use the planet!
