    Andy has always given Rafa props for his success. If Andy not moved to Barcelona, he would never have reached the level he's on today.

    Rafa is selfless... if as a kid he made another kid come up to speed/level... those who dont mind other's success are great people... and this is competitive sport... kudos to Rafa... but how much is this guy finding fault with tennis training in britain...and praising the spanish style of training... something seems out of place... this guy also said somewhere that RafaNadal played some silly prank on him... even that story seemed out of place...

    • @MarkBriers369

      Out of place! Look at the number of successful Spanish professionals compares to Britain. What’s wrong with an honest and truthful opinion?. I don’t see anything wrong in his comment. As for Rafa playing a prank, doesn’t that show a comfortable and friendly relationship between two blokes that get along. You can make the glass half empty with anything, if that’s your mindset. I’ve always thought they have got along. It’s just a shame that Andy’s career seems to have been cut short due to injury. At one time I thought he could possibly win the Australian Open, but the French always was a real challenge, especially with Rafas unbelievable record in it. They talk about the big three, but don’t underestimate Andy’s part in all this. Up until about 2018/19 he was up there. He’s won 3 grand slams and played in 11 finals. That number of finals puts him equal 9 in the all time list, although the others have won more majors. But they weren’t up against the best 3 players of all time, who have blown everyone else away with the number of major victories they’ve won. In any other era, Andy probably would have won maybe twice as many majors, and potentially all four, although the Clay isn’t his best surface.

    I've never heard him say Rafa convinced him to leave home. So... you're making this up!

    • @MrSwanley
      @MrSwanley 7 лет назад +41

      On the contrary, he says exactly that. Being convinced by someone doesn't always mean that they talked you into it. The _example_ of Nadal is what convinced Murray, as he explains here - and in his biography, and his mum Judy said the same in a documentary for UK TV. The video title is a perfectly reasonable short statement of the content.

      "Very hot"?! Hopefully he gets to soak himself in some ice cold water (to cool himself down) whenever he is off the court, if that be the case.

      Squash and racquetball are superficially similar, but they are NOT the same game. Different courts, different balls, different racquets, different rules.
