At first I thought this was some intimidation tactic to make tweener confess, but then bullets started flying....
Twee er is one of the best characters in the serie it was just a kid so he couldn’t think very good so it was very hard for him

i love this scene a lot. because you get to know so much about Mahone here.
Mahone knows he has to kill Apolskis. That’s why he “confesses” to him, because he can’t talk to anyone else about what happened with Schales, and that’s something that’s killing him.
Another thing I realized, was the fact that Mahone actually really liked the kid. When Apolskis pulled that move where he went to his girl’s house, you can see Mahone smiling, sort of like appreciation the fact that he was “outsmarted”.
Then when Mahone has to kill him, he doesn’t kill him instantly, because he doesn’t even want to kill him, he even said it himself. The fact that he has to do it is necking onto him. That’s why he had to shoot like 5 times, because his heart said no. This also backfired onto him, because questions from FBI HQ were then asked, whether Apolskis’s execution was justified, remember?
When I first watched this show, I absolutely hated Mahone in season 2, but, obviously after watching the full show, and now rewatching it again, you tend to also like or appreciate him more, right from the beginning.
Prison Break had a lot of smart people featuring and Mahone was definitely one of them.
I really really like his character.
Tweener was just a kid who fell into the wrong hands and that stunt he pulled didn't make things better either , Mahone was a real devil here in season 2 though.

Wish they would do a prequel (maybe a limited series release) about Mahone's hunt for Shales, his addiction, etc. I know it would be a small audience, but it would be pretty sweet.

He deserve so more than that he going risk to go back to prison just for a girl he really likes
He kinda sacrificed himself for the team. Because he promised Michael in Season 1 then he broke that promise.

I know people are saying that Mahone becomes a lovable character in the later seasons. But as a person who’s on season 2 currently, I just can’t ever see myself liking this guy no matter what tbh, he just killed a teenager here who honestly just had shitty luck.

Mahone and Kellerman are like the top charachters like they are on the level of exosphere.
Mahone faced the same karma by losing his kid in a same way as he killed tweener.
Nah, the way Cameron was killed was way more terrible. Tweener died almost immediately, it was maybe a painful but a quick death. Alex's kid, on the other hand, had been forced to feel all the pain from the first shot 5 minutes straight before was killed for good

Tweener had a quick death, soul left his body while he was still in shock, and that kid, given his age, horrifically had to suffer such pain.
I have seen some really gory deaths, and I'd personally prefer a quick one.
Poor Tween, sent to prison, bullied by Bellick, stretched out by Avocado, and finally executed by Mahone. At least he had one happy period of time with his girl before he met his fate.

In Season 2, Agent Mahone was an antagonist and in Season 4, he was a protagonist.

The way Mahone's voice cracked when he said "I've got nothing against you, kid" shows that he really didn't want to shoot him... but he had no choice. 😢

I always liked to think that Alex confesses Oscar Shales' murder to Tweener to force himself to kill the kid, knowing that now that he knows Alex executed Shales, he has to kill him for a good reason.
This poor guy survived, became a police officer himself and then was killed by another police officer in Breaking Bad. What are the chances huh?

I’m for forgiveness. But. Bellick killing a cat and Mahoney killing tweener in this way… abbruzzi yes… but tweener. I never forgave them. I guess I hold grudges. I will forgive this before forgiving killing a defenseless creature. I hope Bellick rotted in hell.

To be fair, Mahone didn't kill Tweener because he wanted to. He did it because if he refused, the love of his life and his child would die. Tweener didn't deserve to die, but any parent would do what Mahone did in that situation.
The fact they they even tried to redeem Bellick after season 1 and 2 was insane. Hate him only a little less than Teddy.

@@liszt646 That's not it. His theme, essentially "Special Agent Mahone", plays throughout the series. I'm aware of that. But that's not it. The music that plays specifically in this video is something else.

@@TheBombayMasterTony It's not a specific music theme, but you can find some music who looking like this, i recommend you to listen "The Time is Out" from Muac Project, you have the same sounds in background who look like voices in the twisted mind of Mahone

Alex done alot of mistakes here.
They did address this in the series. The Internal Affair agent, Sullins, saw right through Alex. It took the Company pulling strings to get him off Alex's back, and it still worked only for a short time.
