Thanks so much for these uploads! VHS, I'm guessing :) These original episodes are the very best of A&M and I never thought I'd ever get to see them again. You've made an old Stryker fan very happy.
Would love to have been in the meeting that came up with the idea to have a 'mock Elvis from various periods and Gordon Jackson clash re-enactment sketch'. "You rang Sir?"
@@mogshade66 At least they had the sense to know they'd got away with one and quit while they were still ahead. But yeah, anyone who really knows comedy knows that the Conchords were the emperor's new clothes
I dont see that. There is an episode of QI (I dont know the date) in which panel discusses the misconception that RAF pilots were all posh. So I think the A and M pilots are partly based on that historical fallacy. But Andrews and Johnson are such fun. See Series 2 episode 3 1998: "One of the things we've really got to nail down is the difference between a mathematical conundrum and a rather poor anecdote". And Series 1 Ep 1 1997 - Andrews new plan concerning the stone. Its Sooooo good.
The stuff they did after their hiatus is hilarious, but their 1990's shows were shite and paled in comparison to the much superior Fast Show. The Armstrong and Miller Show is far better than the decade earlier Armstrong and Miller (this show), just as That Mitchell and Webb Look is much better than the decade earlier The Mitchell and Webb Situation. Both shows shared some incredible writers when they returned after about a decade away.
It is shown to an audience and their laughter is laid over the video, that is not canned laughter - which is laughing when cued to laugh. Technically cheating.
I love the British comedy they always the best
RIP Djildsen, gone too soon.
The Swedish rock band was soooooooo accurate... really top accent work.
nahh...
Sounded more Danish to me. But only slightly. Not very good impression.
@@nikajinpusno9563 They're doing Swedish-American accents. They're British.
It's pretty fucking good all things considered.
That song is brilliant!

How have I missed this
That Elvis vs Gordon Jackson sketch had Monty Python written all over it.
Paul Rone-Clarke
😊😀
“This is not for recording, it’s just for tonight.”
“It’ll be on the live album.”
LMAO
Love the opening sketch! :)
They could actually sing really well.
Sorry about that, it is due to the source video quality. I don't think anything better can be found online.
You're an absolute hero for uploading these!
Did not expect Kilmarnock to get a shout-out in this
Yass mon eh Ayrshire
Hey, it's Jessica Stevenson of "Spaced" fame in the sketch starting at 19:50.
also mike the geordie from i'm alan partridge
Love the first 2 original C4 A&M series, more edgey or 'fringe' I guess than the polished BBC series.
Agreed. And way more surreal. C4 back then was a playground for creativity.
I think I'll start a "Down Crawley" Meetup Group.
I'd join that group
That song was almost too good to be funny. Almost. It was very funny, though.
spinal tap level of awesome

You’re right. That song in American accents is funny.😂
I thought they were trying to sound Dutch or Swedish.
MoviMakr They are playing Norwegians.
they're obviously south african
Flight of the Conchords totally ripped this song off with Bowie.
@@mogshade66 At least they had the sense to know they'd got away with one and quit while they were still ahead. But yeah, anyone who really knows comedy knows that the Conchords were the emperor's new clothes
Love A&M why didn't they show the reruns in america
Do you know the opening organ theme? Or what it is based on?
The tarentino dialogue every second word the f word 😅😅😅😅😅😅
that's what I was thinking!
Am I the only one who was expecting a pony-tail at the beginning?
The pony tail sketches came a decade later after they returned to comedy.
ha ha... love the rock stars

The nude scene was a little too funny
I love the Pulp Fiction rip off! Excellent!
Strijka ftw!
BlackLelie Still waiting for the reunion tour, with their new keyboard player.
Can you do a lower resolution please?
That's a resolution of the VHS source. I dare you to find a better one.
It's not Japanese.
No, it's not.
why is it blurred? rubbish
you try looking clear in 240p!!
Not funny.
Both talented and funny, but together not so much, or perhaps just hasn't aged so well. Maybe the writing's just not strong enough.

Annoying and ridiculous canned laughter.
No canned laughter at all, they were filmed in front of a live audience every time.
You sure that first skit is filmed in front of a live audience...? Its a great show but there is canned laughter for sure.

Rob F Bullshit.
That escalated!
Lmfao.
