Sad that the game flopped, but who know's maybe they will make "Ghost 2" and make it good and probubly might see: "Simon Riley" return as a bounty hunter, survived from being shot by Shepherd and being brunt by gasoline, breaking Logan from the enemy prison and Alex from "cod mw4 2019" joining the ghosts.
How cool would it have been if this were an actual mission? Letting you play as Rorke or Elias as they take out these guys and watching their brothers fall. It wouldve added A LOT to the story and wouldve been great. I'm sure it wouldnt hurt IW if they just added this mission in, surely they have the budget!
AnotherMadLinguist Mediocre? It’s actually pretty awesome, especially the ending that leaves many questions. Don’t know why people are hating so much on these games when worse CODs have been made.
Vylkeer weak characters. Do you remember Ghost and Gaz more, or do you remember Merrick and Keegan more? Weak villain. Give me 1 characteristic of rorke other than bad, also what’s his motivation? Oh he just wants revenge and is brainwashed, not much depth. No context to our enemies. Who the fuck is the federation? Oh just the entirety of South America. How did they conquer North America? Who are there leaders? It’s not rorke because who in there right mind would make a brainwashed enemy the leader. Low stakes. We are just hunting some guy down that we have no motivation to take down, he’s done nothing to us except kill Ajax who we knew for 20 seconds. And when he does kill Logan’s father, it’s non emotional because 1 there is a uncomfortable disconnect from your protagonist and the events surrounding it, Logan watch’s his father get his brains blown out and he has no reaction, this is the problem with silent protagonists. And 2 we did not care for the guy (can’t even remember his name tbh) I could go own, but the story here is not that good.
The plot was nothing short of exceptional. The twist of fighting along side your Brother and Father only to have the latter die was heart wrenching. This game deserves the sequel it will never get.
How do developers always miss that THESE are the games we want to play? The writers come up with these incredibly interesting backstorys... that we never hear about or get involved with again. They tell us about an elite group of operatives who were forged by battle and the death of their comrades, and then proceed to show us only 4/14 of these operatives (5 if you count Ajax which I don't) throughout the entire game. The potential was great but they missed out big time.
Well believe it or not this game was hated for no reason simply because of the battlefield/cod feud. I was young so I was unfortunately part of it and I hated this game unjustly. Played it later and it was a genuinely good game. The reason they don't make games like this anymore is because of people like me bitching for no reason.
It was a different time. A different enemy. 60 men from the milk team were sent to face down a force of 500 oreo fighters. Their objective - To force the enemy back from a civilian bakery and keep its occupants from getting too soggy.
this is til this day the best intro cutscene background story thing i know... the new MW almost reached it with its storytelling and love to detail but this 2 minute clip gives me goosebumps every time
Watching in 2021 wanting to play this game again because it’s so good! This intro scene was the reason COD Ghosts became one of my favorites. Also, what if that one soldier sent to guide the civilians out was Ghost himself???
14 secs in the Official Call of Duty: Ghosts - Story Intro Trailer they say 60 men from tier 1 teams this is why they renamed hardcore to tier 1 a little easter egg hinting towards ghosts background and hinting towards the future of what they might focus on story wise for dlc
Ghosts was and still is hands down the #1 campaign story in the entire COD franchise. They need to make a ghosts 2, and continue hiring professional novelists to write their stories
60 men from tier one teams were sent to face down a force of 500 enemy fighters. Their objective? To force the enemy back from a civilian hospital and keep its occupants alive. For 3 days they held their ground but the enemies numbers were too great. The 60 were cut down to 15, they wouldn’t last another night and the enemy knew it. Under the cover of darkness, they evacuated the hospital, sending only one of their own to lead the way. The rest returned to the line and took up positions beneath the bodies of their fallen brothers. As they lay in wait, the blood from the dead poured over them, the sand stick to their skin like a shroud. Changing them. Anointing them. When the enemy drew near, the remaining 14 rose out of the desert sand. They were like hunters that couldn’t be seen, using stealth their enemies couldn’t defend against. When the men ran dry of ammunition, they used their blades. And when the blades ran dull, they used their hands. When the dust and sand had settled only one of the enemy had survived. He was picked up in the desert, wandering aimlessly, traumatized. He expressed warnings to others of a force so menacing and unbeatable it could only be described as supernatural. He called them… Ghosts.
I actually liked its Campaign. MP would have needed a few tweaks here and there but it wasn’t that bad compared to how people were describing it. When compared to that crap that BO3, AW and IW were, this is gold. I still liked those games’ Campaigns and played them throughly but I couldn’t stand the exosuits.
Say all you haters want about Call of Duty ghosts is a bad game but for me this is the coolest game I think in multiplayer ghost masks are iconic part of call of Duty and the call of duty ghosts community are still active than black ops 2 and advance warfare with it’s world map feature
A Finnish sniper during World War II, Simo Hayha, killed 505 soldiers BY HIMSELF, in WW2. And he wasnt even a modern day Tier 1 SOF operator. Its not as far fetched as you think.
The only thing that would have made this intro any more badass, would have been if we were actually allowed to play as Rourke and Elias fighting for their lives and becoming the Ghosts.
"when the men ran dry of ammunition they used they're blades, and when their blades ran dull they used their hands"

The whole story is badass

+Tango Lima Ooh yeah! That would have been awesome!
Maybe they will make this mission as prequel in Ghosts 2
Tango Lima the game is good enough and you can trust me I've played it. It is insane.
It frustrates me. The actual story you go into is mediocre at best, but this is the best freakin intro I've ever seen. There was so much potential.

Spec ops the line did a good job at a war story.
it’s the community that makes a trend to hate it somehow

this the best intro ever. nice voice actor..
Stephen Lang
I was hoping they would have the legend come from Taskforce 141.
With one man in particular, Ghost.
that should have been happen, or atleast they should make that happen in next part if they make it. really hoping to play the next ghost game.
i heard that cod 2019 might be cod IW + ghosts + MW + AW + ww2 .
future soldier of gaming
guy from the future here, can confirm that this was false
that would be dope as shit
But it all ended when shepherd use them as bait, poor roach and ghost
Man i keep coming back to watch this. Its crazy good
gotta revisit this occasionally because it goes so incredibly hard to this day
It's been years since I played this game and this part still gives me the chills
I love this new style of cutscene. COD4, and Black Ops 1, and now Ghosts, have the best looking cutscenes.
During the Korean War, 28 canadian soldiers held out against 6 or 8 hundred enemy soldiers. History channel even made a documentary about it.
what about the SAS stand in Oman - 9 SAS against 300 communist militants. 2 sas was killed and 1 wounded with 80+ militants killed (battle of miribat)

Agreed this is futuristic combat at the finest. All really cool stuff but still be able to understand it
This is one of the best Intros of a vedio game , such beautifully narrated story and mind boggling explanation.
Imagine being the 1 guy that didn't get to be called a ghost because he lead the civilians
He alone helped the civilians rescued from the hospital and guide them towards safety. If he is not part of the Ghost then who do you think he is...
He's just relieved that the civilians got out safe. The enemy would've slaughtered them had they not gotten out.
This is such an underrated intro

This is my favorite cod I still hop they make a ghost 2
60 vs 500 wtf were they thinking lol
They were all tier 1 though so it actually makes sense
But they were originally trying to defend up close and ended up losing about 80% of they’re forces that was there.
It was just to hold their advance untill reinforcements could arrive
Coming back to this this intro is one of the best Ive seen Ghosts could've been a good game but they screwed it up.
Better than the newer cods
