- We were very excited to receive this all new M41 from Traxxas. We went out to Northern Utah to Bear Lake to test it out and have some fun. Although we did lose our GoPro, we did get some footage!

traxxas made it look like a toy rather than a hobby grade model with those seats steering wheels and stickers on the boats cabin

mr cheerful if I could get it without the graphics I would order one. I'm thinking about ordering a TFL Zonda instead. Plus the Zonda is twin drive!
rc Ohio the graphics put me off also the fact for a new model there using Spartan electronics that are years old that's just plain lazy in my opinion? where's the innovation? from a huge company like traxxas that's disappointing and this model is expensive!! pro boat upgrade there models every couple of years if your looking at a twin drive look at the pro boat zelos 36 twin
One tip for recording and editing with drone footage, try not to get the drone shadow in the shot
any solution to not go upside down? it's a big problem if you drive on the lake and not have a boat to get the vehicle.

What happens when LVD kicks on, does the boat cut out in the water or does it just reduce to half throttle so you can bring it back?
Graham Hutchins I'm wondering this also. I'd really like to get a boat but I don't want to be swimming out into storm ponds to get it all the time lol

How do you like the boat? im thinking of buying one. Anything i should know about it before i purchase, does the motor get hot quick?
We ran the boat through 2 sets of batteries. Maybe around an hour of run time, did not have any issues with the overheating.
I’m super late but does this come ready to run or do I need to purchase separate batteries/charger?
You need to purchase a charger and 2 2S lipo or 2 3s lipo
Are there Upgradable parts for this RC boat? propellers, ESC's and such?

i checked out hobbies4life, but this boat didn't show up under the catamaran section. that's ok though, i was just curious to compare price and specs vs the miss geico i just bought.

+RC Hobbies 4 Life what batteries should I get to make it go 50+ mph 6s lipos or 3s lipos
AIRSOFT PLAYER460 if you want to run 6s, you need two 3s batteries connected in series. if you want to run 4s, you will need 2 2s batteries connected in series. you can get 4s or 6s batts, but since the motor and prop shaft take up the center portion of the hull, there are two battery trays, one on either side of the hull to evenly distribute the weight. i would suggest starting out with 4s and get used to it before going 6s.
oh so i should get two 3s lipos to make a 6s lipo i didn't know there was to battery ports

No not anymore. The hobby-stores received them on June 5 and 6 and i got one June 15th or sometime around there. There extremely fun.

How are you doing for motor temp? mine seems quite hot really fast... :\
We did not have any issues with the motor temperature, during the shooting of this video, we went through 2 sets of batteries back to back. I would give Traxxas a call to see if they have this issue with some of the boats.
Traxxas makes some cool stuff, but this boat and the spartan use ABS "blow molded" hulls which to me is a bummer. Wreck it and there is no repairing it properly. If they only made it of fiberglass like a real boat. Cool stuff otherwise.

Yes, the blue & red Spartan are both Brushless. They have the same motor as the M41. The only difference is the hull style. Spartan has a V Hull and the M41 is a Catamaran.
What happened to the go-pro?
The GoPro fell out of its housing, we retrieved the GoPro and the memory card was fine, but the GoPro had a different fate.
