Thank you for your video!!! I am living in Hungary, and I bougt an used acorn 120 stairlift, but it had to be turned right side to left side. My son did it, inluding to seat welding. Since then I feel much better! Thank you once again!
Thanks for the video - there is ve1ry little info online! I have followed the instructions and got it all back together, but I'm getting no sign of life - no lights or sounds when I turn it on - any suggestions? I put a meter on the batteries and they have a charge - and checked the connections - I'm about at my wits end - any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks again!
Your video was helpful indeed. I think you meant to turn the seat post 180 digress, hot 360, but that's alright I knew what you meant. Thanks so much. Loved the siren affects you put in, I was just hoping you weren't doing something bad. Lol!
Was given a free used acorn 130. Installed it for my parents, the problem is that it climbs the wrong side of the stairs, climbing alongside the handrail as opposed to climbing along the wall. I was thinking I could just swing the entire rail and chair through 180 degrees as the chair sits at 90 degrees to the rail. I just need to move the position of the rail swing arm and adjust the position of the stops and charging points. Am I missing something important and you can’t do what I’m trying to do ? Because I don’t understand why you would need to rotate the seat through 180 degrees if the whole orientation can just be reversed. Thanks
You can’t keep same seat if you reversed for example from l to r or . You need get right side seat. If you don’t do that it’s not going to work correct . Also so far I understood- you flip rail ??? This is totally wrong dot do that . If you don’t believe me call Acorn tech support and they explain you …
Hi Great tutorial have reversed the seat no Problem . Now its painted you cant tell it has been reversed. One question, you didnt metion the wiring in the arms, do they have to be reversed, im in the uk so difficult to give you a call. Best Regards Michael Fieldhouse
Hi , yes you have take arm pads off and on left or right arm ( depends where your main wire come in to seat frame ) you’ll see wright next to microswitches jumper wire ( this is small wire with two white connectors on each end ) - you have to disconnect and take it off this jumper wire. This is how Acorn change seat wiring L to R or R to L if you don’t have this jumper than you need reverse switches on each armrest
I’m cleaning up an older Acorn 120 and a couple of the nylon rollers in the bottom of the chair unit seem a little stiff like they need lubricated. They don't seem worn out or sloppy, just roll a little stiff. They are not rolling freely. I'm considering putting the chair on its side then putting a drop of oil so it can get down around the shaft. I'm just not sure what kind of lubricant to use. I don't want to put something that will "eat" the nylon roller. Anyone have any ideas on what type of lubricant to use?
Peter Lobodarz hi , some Acorn 130s has aluminum seat base and vinyl seat cushion and back - same as on my RUclips pic . In this case you have to get different seat . You can’t fabricate it
Hi, Can I reset the problem I am going to describe. the wife dropped a ring in the stairlift into the and the only way to retrieve it was to take unit off of track and turn it upside down to get it. the stairlift was working ok when taken off, but somehow i have activated the OSG when taken off. I reset the OSG (ie, cog and spring) replaced back on track, and on turning on, it is displaying Error F7. The unit will move up & down track Manually but is still showing F7 but cannot activate Electric. Motor. Is it possible to reset the F7 error code. Any help would be appreciated. Best Regards
Hi , you said you did reset OSG or replaced OSG completely? If one of OSG parts damaged you still go-into get error F7 and you have to reset again .. So I think you may have to buy new OSG You can get it at www.theolbanyliftcompany.com
@@user-sh4yn5ft7b sorry im not tech guy, what is OSG means? And the sprocket look like a gear which drives the belt i think. There is a key way as well. Seems very tight.
Hi , is the chair beeping? You need to do batteries loud test you can do that in pep boys if you don’t have loud tester . If you have questions it will be easy to call me (267) 2108499 Philadelphia pa area Alex

Hi Kevin. Just try both links and they working, no E2 errors ?
great this I have just aquired one and was worry ed it wasn't going to fit but it will now cheers
do they sell a universal bracket to allow you to flip the acorn 130 seat from a LT. to RT.
Jim Foguth unfortunately Acorn don’t do that . You have to buy new seat and shroud
Hi do you know if you can do the same with the Acorn 130 superglide ?
