    I CHALLENGE YOU CYCLECRUZA! I challenge you to ride my 2024 Kawasaki zx10r 40th anniversary edition and say it’s a terrible street bike. I will ride over to Ohio, and let you ride her! This generation bike is so good! While everyone wrote off these liter bikes(for all the reasons you mentioned) they have been getting better! I use the power every day, just not the top speed. The electronics are such a good babysitter that it’s fun on the streets! The riding position isn’t bad like some liters. The fan comes on early, keeping her cool. She is a pussycat! What do you say? I’ll ride over from PA. I will record the ride, because my channels pretty new and I need some new subscribers. I’d like to meet you anyway, you seem like an ok guy. Think it over, but I think I can change your mind!

    Come on let's be honest with yourself here CC. 90% of the guys buying liter bikes aren't gonna riding in the city going stop light to light. Most are gonna be out on the highway ripping at 160+ not giving a single care about the cops. Majority of those guys aren't worried about tickets or losing license because they don't plan on stopping. So I gotta strongly disagree on these one!
    I know this because I was that guy not so long ago. I've calmed down now and just doing supermoto things. But we know who buys the big boy superbikes and why

      All the superbike dudes I see are cruising around downtown Cleveland stop light to stop light showing off their bike with their chick's booty hanging off the back. lol I;ve owned superbikes, trust me, you'll find yourself stop to stop light more often that you'll realize. Of course you have the highway bandits but that gets lame after a while and cops chasing you doesn't always end well. At some point most super bike dudes age out to Harleys. 🤣 Everybody I know that had a superbike is on a Harley bagger now and chilling.

      @@CycleCruza It sounds like you guys don't have any nice roads out there.
      If you are riding in town or stop light to stop light, straight roads, and parks like you do, then a 300 cc bikes are plenty.
      And maybe when we grow up we end up on a Harley eventually :)

  • @MisdemeanorThoughts

    Well. If you want more “bottom-end grunt out of your old, clapped out GSX-R600, regear your sprockets (that’s what those stunt riders do, and their bikes can “pull stumps.”) Riding position? Put on lower pegs and “upgrade” to high-bar adapters. If you’re a deal hunter, you can do all of this for roughly $800-$1200. More if you “do new.” And it’s still far less than getting a whole other bike. As far as the speeding issue? Just, well, grow up. “Adult” like an adult should. That’s a personal issue.

    I bought a super-bike. Panigale V4. We were all teens at one time with that one poster of an "out of reach car" on our walls. I've been affordable, and cheap with bikes for most of my adult life. But got to the point financially that made it possible TO afford that "out of reach vehicle"...so I went all in. After 3 years: Lots of fun, lots of miles and smiles....and no tickets.

    Before owning a Aprilia RSV4 Factory limited I only ever owned 1 bike above 600cc that being a Panigale 959 and I cooked in the summer heat in Georgia. The absolute FACT I learned is you become an immediate cop 👮🚔🚨 magnet. To the point they follow you around Atlanta hoping you speed so they can brag back at the station and meet their quota.

    -Lots of low end grunt, no need to twist it out to have fun
    -comfortable for trips
    -it can be happy as a sport bike, it can be happy as a tourer
    -not much heat at all
    -many more positives to list.

The shop checked them out and they are getting a warranty front tire because it looks like the tread is cupping around the center a bit. I’m hoping the new one will fix the wobble. Was wondering if you’ve had that happen with any Shinkos you’ve owned

  • @powamoto
    @powamoto 2 месяца назад +3

    I appreciate CycleCruza perspective on the Yamaha MT series for street riding, but as seasoned riders with over three decades of experience, we've found the Busa to be a legendary all-rounder. Its versatility, from cruising to spirited rides, coupled with its iconic status, makes it a compelling choice. Plus, the freedom in Florida with helmet-only insurance adds another layer of appeal. It's all about finding the right fit for your riding style and preferences!

    • @CycleCruza

    • @michaelbrinks8089
      @michaelbrinks8089 2 месяца назад +2

      I think a busa or ZX1400 would be a great high speed commuter bike for someone who lives in remote areas of western states with 80 mph speed limits and no cops around. Crusing at 85mph the bike isn't busting a sweat and you feel like you're only going 45.....Stopping for cops is optional 😂

    • @powamoto
      @powamoto 2 месяца назад +2

      @@CycleCruza hi brother 🤟appreciate your perspective, CycleCruza! The Busa's weight can be deceptive, but its versatility surprises many. I'll definitely recommend giving it a try. 🤙 multiple riding modes, I’ve got it riding like a Chineeeeeeese scooter.

    • @powamoto
      @powamoto 2 месяца назад +1

      @@nerychristian In Florida, there's a unique law known as the helmet no insurance law. If you choose to ride a motorcycle without insurance, you're required to wear a helmet. However, if you opt to ride without a helmet, you must have motorcycle insurance. It's essentially a trade-off between wearing a helmet and carrying insurance. One of the big plusses is why I moved here.

      To me they are best for the track where they belong. Riding.a superbike/supersport on the street made no sense to me, especially, now that there are so many amazing naked bikes that are way more comfortable and better tuned for the street with loads of grunt.

    CC makes a good point. I've got a ZX14R, and as much as I LOVE my bike, I can do over 100MPH in first gear. I don't know about where you live, but in my state cops are EVERYWHERE! Even in the outskirt areas, you have to be really careful. It makes it really stressful to ride it, because you always want to crank the throttle.
    I've been thinking really hard about whether to sell it or not. My ZX14r is my dream bike, but if I'm too scared of going to jail every time I ride it, what's the point?
    I still haven't decided, but I'm just not sure if I can keep it.

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  2 месяца назад +3

      Yeah cops are everywhere now and I got tired of speeding tickets and close calls to getting arrested. It stopped making sense to own a superbike, most of my riding was not speeding and riding around on a literally hot bike uncomfortably around town. When I got a supermoto my life changed, fell in love with the smaller torquey bikes. You better sell the zx14r before you end up in jail with a booty warrior. lol Next thing you know you'll relegated to e-bikes with no driver's license.....

      @@CycleCruza The heat issue, really isn't a problem on my ZX14R. Even in the dead of summer.
      One of the (many) other reasons I love it is because it's an extremely comfortable Hyper bike. It's very happy on long cruises (which I love to do) at freeway speeds. If you watch the pro reviews of the ZX14R, many of them said they could see themselves touring on it, because it's that comfortable.
      The big question is... can I control the urge to hit the throttle? This is why I haven't sold it, yet. I can't answer that question.

      My friend used to own a 2014 MT07, which I rode on a couple of occasions. Great engine but the suspension is dangerously bad, in my opinion (and my friends´). Especially if you are a +90kg/200lbs rider.
      Bounced like a pogo-stick in the corners. Haven´t tried I newer one, but would be surprised if they haven´t made any improvements in suspension since 2014.

      New, yes.
      Older one’s not so much.
      I can get a used Harley in great shape and decent mileage for about $4K more or less (depending on the year of course.)
      Try finding a sport bike that’s in good shape, not over used and abused, for under $6K
      Not gonna happen.
      If you find one around $5K, that’s something you DON’T want to be on; for your own safety.
