Danny, my 9 year old granddaughter spiked a 104 fever and became severally dehydrated. Had to take her to the emergency room. She had to have an IV and needed 4 bags of hydration. Her heart rate would not come down. It came up fast and out of nowhere. 24 hours later, she was fine. Praying you feel better soon. This sickness is not normal. I had to take her in. 104 is nothing to play with in your 9 year old grand baby. We were very worried but super surprised she became that dehydrated that quick.
Praising The Most High you were able to get her medical attention in time. I got sick over the weekend and couldn't even hold liquids down; ended up in the ER on an IV too. Whatever this is going around is NOT normal.
I'm glad you said "this sickness is not normal", because you are right. A warning to all: don't mess around with a sore throat, if it is strep throat must be treated EARLY on. It's not the normal strep, this one is "unknown" and already some people have died.

Mr. Danny, last night I was sitting up after everyone in my house went to sleep, and I just had a terrible sense of foreboding come over me about the upcoming year. So many things are in play at the moment, from our dysfunctional political system, to the vulnerability of our food distribution system, to the lawlessness in our country, and the outsourcing of employment to other countries, that it is just overwhelming. I prayed hard last night asking the Lord for guidance in the coming year, and I believe that your porch time today was the beginning of that guidance. Blessings to you and Mrs. Wanda.
There in another homesteading Christian channel I watch that many are feeling what you are. Has God given you any guidance because I am praying about whether or not to sell my condo and move back to my home state.
I think many people are having those exact same feelings.
@@cindybarnes1533 I know what I want to do and what I'm feeling led to do, but I don't know how to do it yet. It does involve moving from the city/suburbs where I'm living with my family and going to the country, but finances and health issues don't really allow for us to do that. At least not now. So I need to figure out what to do while I'm waiting for the Lord to provide a way.

I am having the same feelings. What's interesting to me is that some of my family/friends who have never thought about becoming "preppers" themselves are also having the same feelings all of a sudden.

Danny, praying for you and Wanda - I became ill last week, the combination of symptoms was like something I have NEVER experienced in my life: at first it felt like stomach flu, but then other things began to creep in. I'm in middle age and have only been sick 4 odd times as an adult (last time was Omicron, nothing for a decade before that.) The thing that got me was that I didn’t feel tired, I felt weak. I have never been or felt weak in my life. On top of that, my thoughts about myself felt odd and unlike what I typically entertain. This illness is definitely an attack, it felt like a spiritual attack to me. Praise The Most High I am back on my feet and nearly recovered but that illness was VERY strange and unsettling.
The Patriot Nurse did a video on this latest creation attacking the gut also. It can interfere with the mind/gut connection and immune system. I wonder if that played any role in your unusual thoughts while ill.
Had the same problem, started Christmas night. Just now feeling better.

I believe my hubby and I had Covid before there was a test for it. He got sick then the next day I did. We went and got tested. We both had 3 tests all were negative. I have not been right since. Was sick for about a month. And the cough stayed with me for a good 3 months. I have never regained my strength. Dr thought I had long term Covid. Was told the test to find out was very expensive. So I didn’t . I just want to get back to normal. I was walking 5 miles a day before. Now I’m lucky to get house cleaning done.

So true Brother Danny as we are All experiencing Biblical prophecy today. Psalms 30:5 comes to mind "For His anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning " KJV. We, as Christians must hold on to Biblical truths as the Holy Spirit guides us through these difficult times and continue to Pray for each other continually, in an attitude of prayer. Glad to see you on this porch time this morning even though I know you both are having to really push through this crap. It has taken me over 4 weeks and I am still having bouts of coughing. Hold tight to your faith and pray without ceasing. We all know God is in control and will many challenges and changes to test our faith. God Bless you both.
Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother worked for me, the inhaler didn't do the job. I took 1-2 tbls, 2-3 times a day (sometimes I mix with honey because it is stout and can take your breath away for a second using it plain), within 30 minutes I was coughing out the junk I couldn't move out for weeks . The inhaler would stop the wheezing for about 30 minutes if that but didn't move the junk out, the Vinegar worked instantly, getting that junk out stopped the cough. I didn't really have the cough I was making myself cough to get the junk out. I swear by it. That and mandarin oranges helped bring back our appetite, crackers and plain Lettuce, the lettuce replenishes your stomach lining and intestine lining while also hydrating your body. Lettuce works excellent for diarrhea as well, super quick in relief. It's hard to heal if your appetite is poor but these 4 things work. I know pineapple has 500 times the strength cough medicine does but I didn't try it, I had gallon cans and didn't want to waste (normally I'd can the rest in quarts) especially since my energy level was zilch and raising 3 grandsons it took every ounce of strength to keep them going. Hoping you get relief soon because those of us whose had this crap have been challenged to keep ourselves mobile, the devil is after all of us who believe in God, he's not going to get what he wants, The Lord assures us of that as long as we keep our faith in him. During cold and flu season, I go out in public to shop when the stores first open. There are only a few people and the germs from the day before have settled. God bless!
Mullein has helped me more than anything with this. God pressed me on gathering and drying all during fall season. And just like that HE had it ready when I needed it.
He does that when you listen to Him❤.
I get the mullein tea, haven't grown it yet, but it sure works.
Mullen saved my life in 2021!
I did the same, gathered it wild, it grows in various places here, mostly next to the road at the edge of farmer's fields. I dried a bunch in fall and have it put away.

As believers we should have been aware that believers would be persecuted here. Our government has thousands of guillotines, do not fear those whom can kill the body, but shim whom can kill the soul. I knew these days would come since I asked Jesus into my heart at age 5. I first heard prophecy expounded upon about age 10. Stay the course. Put on the whole armor of God.
Just put up 20 quarts of potatoes 40 pints of several types of beans. Purchased chicken breast put in freezer

Another thought to tell you, the sky hear is so crystal clear blue…..like it used to be when I was a very young child. No chem trails. Very little to almost no squirrels which is very strange for here. Geese flew North for the Winter this year, not south but North. I give thanks and Glory to God for protecting me and comforting me and my family and friends. Praying everyday. ✝️❤️ Jesus Christ is my Savior the Holy Son of God.

Glad you are getting better. It takes a while to get back to 100%. My son has it really bad right now, he got it at work from his apprentice. Here in the KCMO area, on of the most shocking news stories in the last few weeks is citizens tried to petition to stop a Satan Club at Olathe Northwest High School in Olathe Kansas and even though they had overwhelming community support saying we don't want this, they couldn't stop it. More than 6000 signatures on the petition. I never dreamed we would live to see the day here in America that the evil one is blatantly promoted and celebrated while Christianity is vilified.
It happened in West Tennessee too. An elementary school called Chimneyrock in a big suburb of Memphis (Cordova). I read a news article that there was going to be a big protest against it. But, they backed down because the organizers were getting death threats that were trying to stop it. NEVER in my wildest imagination would I ever dreamed this could be happening.

When my Dh and I got it, we also said "this is a weapon." it was like nothing else We were 53 and 59 at the time. Take it easy, take 5x or more vitamin D. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Praying for your and Wandas healing. To everyone else, If you don't have access to fresh vit c in the future, store up some tang, dehydrate oranges, lemons, limes. Don't want scurvy either.

Well Danny, it hasn't snowed up here in western Alberta since October and there isn't any snow on the farmers fields. 6°C ,,,that's like 35°F for January 1st is incredible.
And we folks here aren't exposed to the strains as of yet. But I do indeed hope the both of you can beat the variant and bounce back.
Normally here in western Alberta for December, January,,we should have had 3 feet of snow by now and-20~-35°C temperatures.
Is this God's plan for his authority to manipulate the weather to achieve his plans ?
I believe that it is so . Because scripture says 1/3rd of the trees will be destroyed.

I keep praying that we'll be able to get our irrigation system back up & running & our new neighbor's won't continue to be the devil's spawn this yr & keep causing us issue's. I'm going to do everything possible to grow a garden, whether in the main spot, along the tree's, or in pot's everywhere. My family has their blinders on & don't want to help, so I'm going to do what I can, while trying to deal with some physical issue's too.

I really needed your message this morning! I’ve been feeling discouraged and you were a great encouragement to keep working on being prepared long term for the future. I’ve been building relationships with a few younger women in our church who recently said they want me to teach them to bake and can. I’m excited about that!
My husband and I are planning to bake a big turkey today that we found on sale and prepare portions for the freezer. May God bless you and Mrs. Wanda with a healthy prosperous new year!

This sickness was so bizarre. It hit us exactly the same time as it hit you and Wanda. Hubby was lucky enough to have a high fever that made him sweat profusely. He was not as sick as I was. I only had a fever of 100 and never sweat a drop. I hope that I don't live long enough to ever be THAT ILL ever again. Horrible is an understatement. It did mess with my mind. I was afraid I wasn't gonna get better at all. I developed a small hernia in between my ribs from coughing so much. It felt like my ribs were gonna split. There was a couple of days that I couldn't stand up without my legs shaking. So many other symptoms. I didn't eat for 3 days because I couldn't!!! Danny, I now understand why people die from the flu. I'm at about 50% now 10 days later. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I hope Wanda is on the mend. I bet she's like me praying to feel somewhat "normal" again.

Meyer lemon trees are very tolerant of indoor conditions. They bear once a year, a fruit that is sour but a little sugar makes great lemonade or add to other juice for punch. The blooms smell wonderful and the tree can be outside part time. A little homemade C is better than none. 😊
Peels are thin and can be candied and a slice squeezed over fish is delicious.

We’re in a community, no hunting. We have 7 1/2 acres. We have about at least 3 herds of deer, 8-10 per herd. We have a garden 20 x 50 feet with a 4 foot fence around it. I know the deer can easily jump that but for 14 years they have left the garden alone. They’ve eaten down every bush and flower around the house itself but thankfully they’ve left the garden alone. I guess you can say we live peacefully together so far.😏
2023 was the hardest year for my wife and especially I. The thing was i thought family woukd have my back ,wrong !
I tried to the best i could and took a lot of mess from them. To think i tried my best to lead them to Christ Jesus and teach them about how to grow a garden and survive. And not let our grandparents land go to waste. They really tfiednto make a fool out of me. The LORD is going to deal with them this year. If i wasnt a Christian they would not be here today. I hope people can realize if someone is not against GOD and you then they are for you. And a prophet has no honor in his own land.

Starting my New Year my 5th week on crutches,broken knee,no end in sight. Can’t even get to my greenhouse. Can’t can,can barely cook meals.

I'm in South Alabama south of Dothan Alabama five miles from Florida state line our weather here is same as yours we had a good frost this morning and there saying we're getting a freeze for Wednesday morning supposed be very cold Danny it's winter time I've worked out side on farm it's normal weather here I always plant my red potatoes on February 14 and I've always had a good pot fresh green beans and potatoes in early may my wife works now so a lot of them just rotting in garden because I can't get out there and put them up but I'm still blessed to be able to keep my garden going now last year I had a extreme drought hear but it's normal to this area now peanut is a root crop I love fresh early green peanuts I planted earlier than most and got the spring rains just right last year we had a drought towards the end of the season

Thank goodness for the gifts were given, that bumper crop surely was one of them! We do what we can, and I've no say over anyone but me & mine, but I do believe that diet is a huge part of our health. There IS a natural decline we encounter as time goes by, just like in our gardens, (everything has it's beginning, apex and natural conclusion-"to everything there is a season") but taking the best care of what we have, is a form of gratitude, I'm thinking, and diet is a huge part of doing this. I am extremely grateful for life and the gifts of the soil. And citrus is just one of them, every part of the tree is a gift, even it's divine fragrance. I'm glad you and Wanda are getting the tasty medicine sent you. I'm happy she's gradually coming back, you two strike me as a pretty good team.
Yes, I heard about US Steel going to Japan, & I guess it's always about money, in the end, but this is a regional concern, to me, this is a matter of money, politics, and borders, it is not something I expect to be able to change, & it's not something anyone will remember me for, after I'm gone. So I'm not going to prioritize this, today.
I'm going to prioritize continuing to do for my family and for myself, by exactly what you discussed.
Clean food and medicine, yes, not a huge concern, here, but home commodities, that's got me stumped.
Animal feed, for those living in towns, who don't own (or aren't paying on) acreage? Hardware for tools? Hand-operated wood working tools might be an option, but finding them? Blacksmiths & people skilled in metal working? Potters & leather workers? These are social concerns, I don't know anyone capable of doing everything, themself. We've gotten so used to buying ready made commodities, fencing wire & TP, and such. I'm guessing wooden fences could replace metal ones to a degree, but fences made entirely from wood? (I'm not sure willow, for creating woven living fences, will grow, everywhere. If it could, it already would, I imagine) So, yes, we might be in for well, ....some interesting times. Hopefully society will see the value in skilled labor, over mechanized labor, and will see the need to work together, again. I do love these Porch times, but I'm running late, and will have to catch the rest of this one, this evening. You two take care of yourselves!

I hope your right about them folks in handcuffs , you usually hit the nail on the head on most things and IF your off it’s only by a very small smidge that isn’t enough to count as off . I have lived in a house I built for 34 years in a suburban neighborhood. We have never had a problem with predators until 2022. Now nightly we see possums, raccoons, and coyotes all over our area. We have also killed many snakes. This area has been fully developed for about 50 years. Now we have to check our yard for coyotes and snakes before we let out our two pups.

My husband and myself right at Christmas got so ill , Its something we never felt before ,Heart èven racing , weak,chills, sweating ,Yesterday I started seeing a pattern , so many people we know getting ill ,
We dont go out , He does work outside the home ,
Something happened between Thanksgiving & Christmas then This New Year .
I truly am concerned .
