when i first listened to melodic blue i thought that this album wasn’t gonna be that good, now it’s one of my top 5 albums of all time, 16 changed the entire album, it’s one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever listened to, that n runaway, this song is gonna be in my rotation for the rest of my life and this video shows how beautiful this song is perfectly, i am excited to watch keem become of the greatest artists of all time, been listening for the past 2 n a half years and he’s never disappointed yet

To me the song depicts that one person you tell everything and that girl you knew before the fame and highkey knows that you’re changing and she knows that she is just a remembrance of who you were before - to keep you grounded. However, does that mean that your love with this girl was ever real? Or is it love at all?
Idk but that battle of not losing yourself but at the same time indulging in fame, money, and women is something you won’t resolve yourself as long as you know the girl who knew you before is holding on to that person or idea of your past self for you so you don’t have to because you know she will even if it hurts her.
And that’s where the guilt comes in or the manageable toxicity - she’ll never leave no matter what but do you even want her to stay? Or even want her at all? Have you truly grown out of this relationship or is it the fame and your ego that’s making you feel this way? Plus, she’s probably the only woman that actual cares for you unlike the women you indulge in who basically are at your disposal due to the fame and money.
