its just my speculations but it might be beacuse of that the wave was gonna hit the tower anyways and by hitting minion waves , he was gonna ruin csin under tower . the reason it ruins csing under tower is bcz: tower hits 2hit and minion hp is left with too little hp after that and if you hit before the tower hit , it will kill with 2 hit bcz you took the little damage . if you are gonna hit the minion lets make it sure you can kill quarter hp bar after the towers first hit but its impossible if you are lv 2 or lv3 bcz you dont have enough damage to generate that dmg in the very early game like lv 2 lv 3 , so the basic answer is "to properly cs under tower"
