This is the only video that demonstrates every step of assembly, showing from all angles, complete with part names. I appreciate that you have NOT assumed we know certain things and skipped ahead. There are those of us that need to be taken by the hand like a baby. Thank you so much for this video.
The metal plates are to protect the rubber end caps from damage with the sharp stabilizer edge. Similar to that of a cookie-cutter form pressing through dough, the stabilizer arms would press through the rubber end cap fairly quickly without the bowed out end plates.
@@DIYPowerCouple you’re quite welcome. Of course if someone happened to lose those plates and/or the rubber end caps, you can always use the bottom rubber soles of an old pair of sneakers and some duct tape to accomplish the same goal of protecting your roof from those sharp metal edges. :)
Thanks for this video! I lost the manual to my stabilizer and how to mount it on my ladder. And I'm sitting here in a snowstorm trying to clean my gutters out....your video is the first one to show up. Thanks a lot! Great day to you!
Great video on how to this quick click stabilizer for my Werner ext ladder. This was the easiest to follow. I could not visualize how it went on the ladder from the instructions, your video made it simple. Thanks.
Thank You!!! I was just cruising You Tube looking for ladder safety before we go up on the roof. This item will be extra useful because we both feel a little unsteady on extension ladder, so I'm glad to get your perspective on how well it works. I have subscribed since I feel like you are my people and we also enjoy being a DIY couple (despite the occasional disagreement about process). Looking forward to watching more.
I recently ordered and got one after seeing your video. I haven’t used it yet but I tested putting it on my ladder. It snaps on easy and will make my ladder much safer. Thanks for the video! Those metal plates go on before the rubber pads to keep the sharp edges of the arms from breaking through.
I have a pair of steel stabilizer attachments that work well but are very heavy and I am looking for some lighter ones. These look like a good replacement.
The metal caps are to prevent the collapsing of the tube and that also will help the robber protectors s to stay on instead of walking off witch they do no mater what you do
Replace the end caps with bright green (highly visible) tennis balls by cutting them and then use Gorilla duct tape to secure them to the aluminum end. Original caps will be cut through by the stabilizer ends in a short time of use. Tennis balls are popular with clients and will last over a year or longer.
They attached it to the top 2 wrongs if your feet reach the top 2 rungs tripping on that is the least of your worries. You shouldn’t be on a ladder to begin with.

We did it just for you Tigner. 😊 Glad you like it. Best, -DIYPC 😃✨
True. Plus they didn’t waste time on unrelated nonsense.
Beautiful couple!!! Good to see partners working together.

Power Couple I watch this video concerning the ladder because I am in the market for a new ladder. This video was/is very helpful. Thanks guys.
My husband thinks he a stuntman. I'll need this to keep us safe. Thank you.

Hi Meghan! You all are our type of people, too! 😀
A Great Block of instructions. Team work!
The metal plates prevent the rubber cup from being cut through by the edge of the square tube when weight is being applied.

Thanks for letting us know about the metal plates 👍🏾

Easy on and off compared to a U-bar with U-bolts. Will fit on doubled section. Ties up rungs as treads!

Great video!!
I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but once I get it on it slides side to side is it supposed to do that?
No. It should click.
Thnks
Great video 👍
At 4:12 When they first put it on the ladder, it was in backwards
Will this work on all ladders
No, only extension ladders.

Thanks Mark! 👍🏾
Does it grab to Vynial siding ??
Clay, Yes. It will grab on and cling to vinyl siding. It has rubber pads on the ends. -DIYPC 😃✨
What size ladder is that?
It is a 16 foot ladder.
That center clamp is a tripping hazard and I don't want to trip when I'm on a ladder

Oh, it’s not really a DIY ladder stabilizer. That’s what I was looking for.
Ain’t no way y’all really talk like this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
We talk in a way to make it easy for all to understand and learn about the project.
