Also, the top of ladder could be easily tied at each side to the windows of both doors of the truck. The two cords or ropes can be tied to the ladder before erection.
I once worked for a painter who had minor brain damage from trying to tie a ladder to the pole he was painting. Also, a guy who worked for my grandfather, got full disability taking on his own pole painting job. So I see this as an essential safety tool. However, I bet someone will over extend the ladder and try to sue the owner. The directions need to be clear on the type of ladder and extension allowed for each type. Also, redundant tying and harnesses need to be strongly recommended and mandated. I would also put 70 lb sand bags in the feet of the ladder, incase of operator error. I think with a type 1 I would recommend a max of 5 or 6 foot extension. So a 32 might be safe going 22 foot up. A 24 foot would safely do 18 foot high. A type 1 40 foot would take 3 guys to safely erect, but do up to 26 feet. Anything higher than a 6 foot extension does not give enough safety overhead to be considered safe.

this works great. i put on atv. and have 2in rcvr mount on my bobcat. so i can get into tight places. yes i still need a lift sometimes but. i have it set up for almost 40 feet
Me dad went up and down ladders his whole life mostly sticking a few sandbags on the bottom rugs and usually roping the ladder near the top. The monkey rack does seem clever though. Is it a problem to back up to a house to clean the gutter then attach the monkeyrack then realise you're too far away take it off again and reposition... ?Cos I guarantee I would do that so often lol
AS A GC I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND/SUGGEST THIS PRODUCT.. To the guy who thought it was a vertical ladder rack till he hit the underpass.. How'd that go for you??
I don't get it? Most ladder manufacturers wouldn't suggest bearing weight on rungs and not the intended rails. Who would use this and for what? I have been a residential builder for 15 years and all I can think of is installing shutters over a garage window.
@@toddkratzer7953 but when you climb a ladder all your weight is on each rung one at a time. Obviously the rungs can hold the weight that is going to be placed specifically on the rungs... the rungs which are there to.... HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THE PERSON CLIMBING. Are yall all retarded or something?
The bracket to keep the ladder from moving up and down was installed incorrectly! It needs to be installed with the ladder rungs between it, not above it. D’oh!

A ladder is designed to lean against a structure. Not hang out in the open. That way, the load is being. forced into the structure and into the feet. What you got there looks like let's bend the ladder.
OSHA certified trainer but yet you yet the guy on the latter tie off with the wrong type of lanyard that was a fall breaking lanyard not your typical tie off lanyard. I'd feel real safe with you on my job site
Liam Graham and what was ur comment about this video??? Nothing cause you know my comments are right. And miss spelled words most of the time can be blamed on auto correct and alcohol so you are just trolling RUclips hope you feel better about yourself
So you need to drive your pickup let’s say across someone’s yard over there leach fields or water lines and not damage not only there property but there grass as well ! The idea is good but I don’t know if it will work in normal ladder operations or situations 🤔
I sem copied this, but made it so ladder fits in bottom groove and you tip the ladder up instead of lifting. Then there is a hook and lever to lift the ladder the fequired 2 inches. I never used it free standing, Ladder still leans on roof and unit is for stabilizing side .option only.
DANGEROUS, you have changed the load applied on the ladder from supported at each end to a cantilever. Most likely it will snap at the rung at the top of the yellow frame. No ladder is designed or rated for this use. They probably know this by now.
Er what is the purpose of this? If you need extra stabilization there are products for the base of your ladder and it is mobile. This is way overkill and would only be useful where you can drive your pick up.
Leave it to a Black Man to endorse a product with this name. Why did Howard Cosell get fired from CBS Sports? I think you need to change the name of the product, its not politically correct. What is the max height of ladder you can use on it? and do you have plans for somthing other then a truck's trailer hitch setup? What if you don't own a truck?
Good God I can see this going down the highway WITH someone attached to the top lmfao 🤣... WTF do people use this for?! Lastly WTF are they using that POS ladder with a real one right there??
How the …. do I buy one can not find one for sale
Also, the top of ladder could be easily tied at each side to the windows of both doors of the truck. The two cords or ropes can be tied to the ladder before erection.
Is this safe to use at highway speeds?
So ..Be sure NO BRIDGES ahead... lol 😆
looks cool but how about 40 feet up?

Is there a max height a ladder can be used with this? Is it dependent on the ladder?
@darkpulses I'd be more worried about the leverage on the two halves of the ladder. They aren't designed to be stressed that way.
Where can I get one? I’ve been calling and get no answer!
Where can I find information on price and how to place an order?
Probably any attorney...
"As you can see the gentleman on top is moving side to side and performing manoeuvres to show the stability"

Works well till someone drives off in the truck
Like it. Where can I get it and how much?
this works great. i put on atv. and have 2in rcvr mount on my bobcat. so i can get into tight places. yes i still need a lift sometimes but. i have it set up for almost 40 feet
You have a $1000 40 foot ladder? Right....
Can you use any ladder with this system?

There does need to be a mathematic formula to determine the distance from the pole to truck hitch.

You are correct, that was my first thought. The weight of the person was all on the two rungs.
This system was meant for picking coconuts
Yup. Make sure you don't bear your body weight on any of those rungs.....
My first thought was pruning trees, picking apples or other fruit trees.

are you still in business? website?
how do i order one?
How do you buy one
@D Mills whatever is easier for you
🤔
The bracket to keep the ladder from moving up and down was installed incorrectly! It needs to be installed with the ladder rungs between it, not above it. D’oh!
It really doesnt matter
How about a fifty foot flag pole. My ladder is a 60 footer ..
More worried about the ladder than the rack..
alright if you got a driveway what about a street setup
Hola como estas cuanto es el precio
You could also pull into the fair and charge people to take a ride around the horse track.

except you can't drive up in the home owners front yard. gonna use that, might as well get a lift. not good for cleaning windows.
OSHA certified trainer but yet you yet the guy on the latter tie off with the wrong type of lanyard that was a fall breaking lanyard not your typical tie off lanyard. I'd feel real safe with you on my job site
That guys channel you spell ladder with 2 t's..... who you trying to fool, you don't have a job site

That guys channel flowers on the 3floor
Great for kid's backyard birthday parties.
the wingnuts need a better solution. They'll get lost so easily. A lever lock of some sort. this is a brilliant invention and I want it for my techs.
Those are not lug nuts. Those are called wing nuts.
Yall never heard of a step ladder?
So you need to drive your pickup let’s say across someone’s yard over there leach fields or water lines and not damage not only there property but there grass as well ! The idea is good but I don’t know if it will work in normal ladder operations or situations 🤔
I was waiting for an aha moment, but I still don't see the point of this

This is a hoax ……
OSHA wouldn’t approve this or the spaghetti fall protection on a ladder rung….. buy or rent a Jlg lift from a dealer near you .
OSHA also would fire any employee endorsing a product, especially anything this sketchy.
Good God I can see this going down the highway WITH someone attached to the top lmfao 🤣...
WTF do people use this for?!

Wow, what a useless waste of time. Plus you put tire marks in my yard, sod is expensive.
Decent idea, terrible name, humans climbing ladders and implying monkeyrack is Darwinian insult. Darwin is a fool and called God a liar.
Darwin didn't call god anything, he knew god was a hoax.
Which god?
Where can I get it......?
How do I buy 1?
