Your not way out there...Your a deer hunter brotherman...You have a bad case of antleritis which is common among us deer hunters...The only cure is finding bone and it looks like your on the road to recovery...Awesome video brotherman thanx for sharing!!!
This is absolutely INSANE! This makes me really itch to get out and go look for some. I just moved to SW Wisconsin and there's definitely some giants around here. I'm guessing that's where you're located too? I've actually never found a shed yet where I hunt in NE Wisconsin, hoping to change that soon.
What an awesome video! Some giant sheds found. Congrats to you great shed hunter. Going to keep an eye out for you. On public land yet. Your amazing. Many congrats to you.
Thanks a lot!
Loved the video, subscribed for more! Good luck this season!
I’m leaving Ohio and coming to Wisconsin where there is actually big deer
Hahaha we’ll have to meet up half way when I’m leaving WI to hunt Southern Ohio! We’re lucky to live in states that have big deer, and a lot of public land that’s for sure.
@@tonyvanasten I been living Ohio my whole life I keep hearing theyres giants here but I don’t know lol
@@jasonnester9514 haha there definitely are. Southern Ohio is pretty rugged and I know it can be tough to hunt but I suppose that’s one of the ingredients for producing giant deer.
Great stuff!
im from NY but taking a trip to WI, IA, IL to do a little shed hunting. I was just wondering if they started to drop where you are, and if you were south or north WI?
Oh boy now I’m facilitating shed competition in my state lol. But I would say maybe 30% of the bucks are dropped, I just had 6 bucks with both sides run across the road in front of me yesterday. Usually by Valentine’s Day 90% are dropped.
@@tonyvanasten in Dunn county on my great uncles property almost all the bucks shed a week ago from all this harsh weather
Enjoyed the video. Great finds you've got some giant's roaming around 👍👍😎 new subscriber
Thanks brother!
Shed hunting really is the best, it seriously might be my favorite time of year. I even take off time from work just to do it every year.
I love it too, it’s hard to explain to people that don’t do it
You mentioned you don't really look in timber? Mostly fields and marshes?
Well at the time that was kind of specific to the area I was shed hunting. The deer around there don’t spend much time in the timber during the winter, especially with deeper snow. The few oaks that did drop acorns are gone, and there’s not much reason for them to be in there. Most of sheds I’d find in the marshy country would be in the sunny thick bedding cover and I find many in night bedding spots adjacent to food sources. Now out in the hills where I’m at now I find most in the timber on south faces and bedding points ect… so it’s all dependent on where you’re at and what the deer are doing in that late winter timeframe.
All pumped up after watching this. Great video. Too we bad have 2 feet of snow. I struggle finding them in snow
I hear ya, antlers are popping off like crazy this week and the snow just keeps on coming.
Nice brother !
Impressive finds😎.
How many miles do you usually walk in a typical shed season?
Thanks a lot! It varies from year to year. I think it was 4 years ago I was over 1,500 miles. Two years ago I bet I only put on 300 maybe. This year I kept track almost every time and I was a little over 600.
@@tonyvanasten Hard work pays off. Good luck this coming season.
Hope to see more videos soon
Wow super cool from Washington County wi and I never find sheds anywhere. I seen one buck on camera that just dropped early and rest still have them on yet. Super cool video
I rarely will find a shed either unless I’m actually out looking for sheds, that might sound weird but I can’t go out scouting and find sheds. From what I’ve noticed it only seems like maybe 30% of the bucks have dropped in the areas I’m paying attention to.
Yeah I just be happy with a decent set to rattle with bow hunting lol
You're a shed savage just like me, dude! Love it! I'm from SW WI, now in SE MN!
Oh man, we might be in shed hunting overlap haha. Ya it sure is fun, I can’t wait to get out this year. Almost everything has antlers yet by me
@@tonyvanasten Ha! Yeah, pretty early. I scooped up a few last week after seeing some dropped on cam- 3rd year antlers on a couple and a set! Chomping at the bit to stretch my legs soon!
Wisconsin truly had giants
Really great video, nice job man
Appreciate it!
Ur property is awesome and u managed well..
Our property brother… all public land
How do u beat all the other shed hunters
I get beat to a lot of places, there’s been a lot of big bucks that I’ve looked for forever and couldn’t find their sheds. Cameras help a lot to know when and where to look. But there are a lot of sheds people walk right by. The day I found that 190” dead buck there were two sets of boot tracks about 25 yards away. Also the marsh is very hard to search and totally cover if it’s not froze up so the window between the snow melting and being able to walk in the marsh is short. Probably why I find a lot of old antlers every year
Because he places most of these and comes back to them.
@@jhayward1940 ohhhhh
@@jhayward1940 yup you caught me. I also trained the 178” public land buck in my profile picture to come running in when I clap my hands. I also trained the 16 coyotes I caught this week to heel when I whistle. I spend every dollar I have to buy sheds online to send snapchats to my 3 buddies and then years down the road put them into a RUclips video. Guys like you are pathetic, just another keyboard warrior that can’t figure things out on his own.
I subscribed. Are you kidding me.
I laughed pretty hard at this comment… are you kidding me!
Awesome video, never gets old finding sheds!
That’s for sure, can’t wait to get out this year
Great share! Always great to meet other shed addicts.
Thank you!
Good finds man!
Thanks man
Some nice sheds there tagged out here in Ohio got all my cameras out running full force just to find the big ones around to hopefully find there hideouts to locate there sheds later in season
Super cool finds for three years how many total? Congratulations on some great deadheads too
Thanks! Ya that’s one thing you’ll find a lot more of on public land is dead heads, a lot more deer getting wounded and unrecovered. I’m not really sure how many sheds I’ve found, maybe after this year I’ll have to pull them all out and see how many I have.
