- The Ultimate Shed Hunting Episode | Midwest Whitetail
On this week’s episode, we start off by making the drive to Southern Iowa with Jared Mills as he meets up with fellow team member Owen Reigler for a group shed hunt at Owen’s farm. Then, we catch up with Mike Reed and his family who make their way to the Home Farm for their annual shed hunt. Finally, Jared and Mike move down to the River Farm as they look to find the sheds off of a few familiar up and coming bucks, and the guys have their best shed hunt to date on their river bottom farms.

Awesome video, looked fun. I finally after 3years of work found 7 sheds on my 20 acres. Thanks for the info n content it's really helped
Hey dude their tips dont apply to everyone because they are already spoiled enough with sponsorship money and inheritance money which is why they are able to have all this land and make looking for sheds easy. They lured all the deer in from the whole area, hope they end up like Josh Bowmar and go to court for illegal baiting
Tell me you’re a jealous bum without telling me you’re a jealous bum
Would like to see an update on the willow planting from last year!
Nice! Have been waiting for this
I love shed hunting, unfortunately we cant keep the neighbors off our lease, 160 Acres with wintering buck areas and haven’t found a shed in years

Don't you need a salvage tag in Iowa to pick up dead heads?
Yes I think that would be the general consensus here in Iowa though you might find some variation in answers depending on which DNR argent you speak to and how old the head is, etc. I contacted our local agent while we were out there, took photographs of the site and texted them to him. He gave me permission to take the head out and I went meet him to get the salvage tag. Thanks for watching!
Yeah Bow Hunter I always talk to my local warden before we start shed hunting and he wants me to take a picture of the buck where they lay and send it to him then I can bring the head with me and meet him later and he will tag them all at once instead of tagging each one at the site every time we find one.
Looking forward to the spring projects, great video guys.
It's like an Easter egg hunt.
Sir what’s the tip to shed hunting. I have great hunting ground I have like 32 acres of bedding and about 12 food and a creek just need to know what’s the trick. Cause I’ve been shed hunting there for 2 years and haven’t found anything
Get up where the bucks are. Usually up on knolls, overlooking everything. Follow deer trails. Look around bedding areas. Take your time. Don't be afraid to go to spots multiple times a season.
45 years old, been hunting for 32 years, still haven't ever found a shed antler lol, then these guys come along 😂 my lord
Oh my hopefully it don’t take that long for me
I feel ya with the squirrels man, its been brutal this year. Also have trail cam pics of people trespassing for sheds which doesnt help either
Paul Blart goes on a shed hunt
Deer shed antlers business is banned only in india
