  • It’s Tech Tuesday and today I want to show you the S’up Spoon. This handy little spoon was the idea of a gentleman named Grant Douglas, who has Cerebral Palsy. Due to his shaky hands, he was having a hard time eating foods like cereals and soups, because he couldn’t keep the spoon steady. That’s when he realized he needed a spoon with a lid on it, and that’s how the S’up Spoon came about! It was designed in Scotland, and it’s a great option for anyone with uncontrollable upper body movements, like Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and Huntington’s or ALS. The S’up Spoon really works like a scoop, and instead of using your lips and teeth to pull the food off like a traditional spoon, the S’up requires you to tip the food into your mouth. This is a great way to regain independence and dignity in dining! You can order it directly from S’up Products www.sup-produc..., or on Amazon. If you would like a demo, give me a call at 417-655-6571, or email me at amandaw@empowerabilities.org! Happy dining and see you next week!
