Some folds are so good it’s hard to even think it’s a great fold
What does that mean? You think the cards are marked or something?
@@michaelg4664 it means that L makes a lot of folds like this and only sometimes it saves him money
Only Mike Postle makes that fold.
Postle even folds on the flop there, that's how good he is!LOL
I was thinking the same
Thing 😂
The GOAT
i clicked immediately because if it's a world class play, you can be 100% sure Nick's not in the hand
I would’ve been in the parking lot screaming at my steering wheel
😂😂😂
Well...he's not invited to my home game lol
Why not? Was that a good fold most of the time?
@@maxayam8268because he’s either a genius or he’s mike postle in disguise 😂😂
@@maxayam8268Not at all, he had a full house.
Easy fold…. 😂
Maybe 5 out of 100 you can fold, sicko must’ve had a read
Absolutely unreal
one of the best folds ever
One of the nittiest fold ever
It’s terrible over time…there is no point playing poker if you are going to make laydowns like that
when ur opponent is super nit, u gotta fold
Dylan is a not a Nit but L is
@@elio-7911 yes he is. Dylan is a complete jew. Dude has 0 gamble in him he looks like he's about to cry from fear everytime he puts a chip in.
@@Born2Punch 😂
@@Born2Punch facts
an impressive fold, if dylan has any othet Qx besides Q9, most likely he won’t be checking twice on flop and turn as he needs to charge some gutshot openendeddraws or 9x, checking twice and then bet 3bet jam on river is usually a monster hand without any bluffs, recall double m JJ vs aaron zang TT, really impresive fold by L, watched his play at the commerce, he’s a great player
Yes sir good comment, one other thing though I don’t watch this stream regularly so idk much about either player but it is also player dependent for sure
That ws was crazy
A typical fold in 2NL zoom lol
Simply, WOW!!!
What a fold!
What a nit fold*
Incredible!!!
Best fold i ever seen.
Man.. I wouldn’t even think about it. Snap call. This is the kind of play that would get you shot back in the day🤣
Insane. I would never be able to do that.
Nor should you.
@@mrhumble2937100%
@@mrhumble2937 Actually, as played, you should at least some of the time. If you're never folding in that spot, you're losing money in live poker in 2024.
@alistairwillock7266 no you aren't, you're losing money.
He called with QQ9 HONEY!!
Phil helmuth😂😂
And I had a set.
Charlie was shocked 🤯
How did he not snap call that jam. Insane.
Because he's either chopping or lost .. lose to q9 and 33 and chop with anything else the guy has for value. Unless you think he's bluffing with a missed draw but even then ace high would be similar to a queen to call with
Those are theories. That is a great fold, many would snap all in call if they have the highest Set😂
I’m assuming he’s thinking why wouldn’t he just call his 5k raise if he had just a Q also? He isn’t scared of Q9 himself so it makes it more likely he has it himself..? I dunno I’m not a pro I’m just thinking out loud here haha.
It's not _quite_ so insane, because of how big the actions were on the river:
- Dylan leads 1000 into 875, so a small overbet. This is not a weak play.
- L raises 4x (2x the pot!). This is a _really_ strong raise.
- Then Dylan comes back over the top all-in with what is _another_ overbet (7800 into 5875). This is _ridiculously_ strong.
Remember that _Dylan_ would need to be afraid of Q9 if he didn't have it himself, because of how strong _L's_ raise is. So, Dylan basically has no worse than Q9 when he 3-bet jams after the prior action. He should just be calling with a naked Queen on that board.
Honestly, in a vacuum, it's a fold. On stream, you are maybe _slightly_ more incentivized to call in L's shoes... but only slightly. And Dylan is enough of a thinking player that he's probably not blasting off there... I could make that fold. It's about the same level of difficulty as folding KK pre in a UTG vs +1 configuration, and I've done that more than once (more than 200BB deep, of course).
And like someone else said, L's never getting an invite to any game I'm in. Getting money out of him looks harder than squeezing blood from a stone.
@alistairwillock7266 calling with a queen here is basically equivalent to calling with ace high. It beats all draws and the rule dont call to chop ever applies here. Not an easy fold but very easy to deduce
It was such a good fold it made the commentators voice go all high pitched
lays down a monster KGB ✌️
Should have paid me off on that. The fu.k you lay that down?
Wow what a great lay down . Dude Check check then goes all in. Yeah I’m guess Q or Q9.
Seen him play at Commerce, tremendous
Is he good?
this is the most impressive fold i have ever seen
Better than Polk’s straight fold against Hellmuth? Genuine question, not being rude haha.
Yeah, the issue is Hellmuth was super aggressive. That wasn't the case here. I don't think I've seen a better lay down.
Ok LEGEND status!
Keep on exploring him
he is playing the player. Dylan has pretty nit image. against anyone else (except for francisco) thats snap call
HCL investigation underway
If he knew his opponent cards, he would have never raised 5K
you could go a million rounds and never see a fold that succinct
what do you think succinct means lol
World class 👏
Investigation for sure
RESPECT
Investigation 😂
Even playing the player, that was still an insane fold.
Best fold I have ever seen.
Villian specific but insane, i'd fold out of fear of looking silly vs a chop
Dylan is about to cry at the table after L folded it lmao 😂😂😂
fold of the decade
Once I've seen Joe Hachem folding Full max against Quad, I'm so impressed about theses guys who are able to throw this kind of cards
It's Called a Pro Fold.
What's it called when the guy just has the Q?
@@eyeofchorus6313disaster fold… 😂😂😂
@@eyeofchorus6313 A player like Dylan basically _never_ has a naked Q in that spot. There are maniacs/idiots that I couldn't defend making that fold against, but Dylan is far from that player type. It's a good fold.
@alistairwillock7266 why can't he just have a queen? He still goes all in if he had a naked queen.
This reminds me of a hand I had a while ago. I had top full house and could only loose against quads. Villain 4bet me on the river and even though i was convinced he had it, I couldn’t fold and paid it off. Great fold!!
Even though he made "the right fold" as it were, I'm not sure it was actually the right fold lol.
Flat the 200 on the flop, check turn then bet Jam river with no image of being crazy? great fold, even better read of the situation
I'm going broke with that hand every time
If instead of Q9 he has Qx, he doesn’t suppose to jam anyway?
He had the 3rd nuts on a double paired board....he understood best case scenario he was chopping.....and you don't risk it all on a chop pot....
this could be one of those rare plays that is so far beyond great that it might orbit back around to being terrible
I understand the reasoning and against a tight player you should be able to make a fold like this. However, I would never be able to do so. Incredible !!
Unbelievable. Folding the third nuts even if you think you’re chopping is just unfathomably next-level. I understand HCL needs their “characters” but this guy isn’t one of them. He’s a monster.
it's an awful fold. not close to next level. his raise size is also atrocious in the first place.
@@tommyfu9271 You have that backwards. It's a good fold _because_ of his raise size. He can make that fold precisely _because_ he raised to 2x pot against an at least somewhat thinking player.
@@alistairwillock7266 it's a terrible fold and he's going to be exploited hard by good players.
his raise size is also terrible. it lets dylan fold even 99 full.
and we both know a player this scared isn't checking the turn behind then making a massive raise on the river as a bluff. he's literally only doing it with a queen.
Great fold
It's definitely an amazing fold for sure but based on my personal experience, if I over bet the river against a super nit and they suddenly jam 2x pot it's never a good sign unless I'm personally holding quads or a straight flush 🤣
PLO player probably
15" POKER HAAAAARRRRDDD
Why is airball not playing at HCL anymore?
perhaps the opponent is very passive player and first time ever re-raising.
Great fold. How did he play other spots?
Watch the whole stream. He played very well throughout the night navigating thru some tough spots. Also wasn’t a nit and switched gears like a boss. The deck wasn’t kind to him or else he would’ve been up big but still managed to book a solid win
@tattoomesam then that was truly a high level fold. Good for him.
He probably needs to be good looking, like Sia the bot, to get invited back😂
@@DW-op7ly a shame that they let nits on stream. Zero creativity.
The guy got told. You can see him unconsciously do the cut neck sign on himself. Someone gave him information and told him to let it go.
There's simply zero equity in making that decision unless you know for sure you're beat.
I almost folded a full boat against straight flush. Almost but i called it off n lost 😂
I made a lot of crazy good folds in my lifetime, but I'm calling there 1000%. No question
Ive seen quad 9s fold to a straight flush. 9 65 clubs flop. 9 9 turn river. Folder had A club off suit 9. They were correct to fold.
I can't tell if this fold is so bad it's good, or so good it's bad
That's the challenge with highlight videos as we lose any context of what he read in previous hands. It's too bad no one showed the table reaction would've been chaos.
lol he clicked the right button by accident
Tbh mathematically if you think it’s a chop best case scenario then you may not have the odds to call
investigation
Your first job at the poker table is to know when you're beat. Your second job is to know when the guy with the better hand won't call. This guy L simply knew that he was beat; he was just doing his job.
Check his ass!!!
Almost similar situation - Andy lost 350k+ to Jacky in Live at the bike a year or 3 ago
👏
Getting a little less than 2 to 1.
Interesting decision to fold.
A fold so good that its bad
why why why is mariano constantly drinking juice or a SMOOTHIE?
Some people will say this is "armchair critic" blah blah, but this fold is standard against a normal opponent. The overbet river probe should already ring an alarm bell, vs certain opponents naked Qx is not even a raise there. Not even in my list of top 50 folds I have ever seen in live stream, but still a very good fold regardless.
Was that a good fold?
Does he know Dylan is so tight that he wouldn't re-raise with anything less than Q9?
not so much but at Hustler... seems insane
He would’ve called anything but all in
wow
Overfolder correct this time
That’s a bad fold. You can’t be results oriented. Folding there is a -ev play.
pretty crazy. don't think you could find a fold against anyone else. Dylan would never jam that board w/out the nuts
That's a pretty tight fold. Hes only losing to 2 possible hands in the deck, q9 and 33. Great fold but if hes gonna play that tight at this table hes gonna get ran over in every pot hes in. Hes gonna fold the best hand with single high and mid pairs all day if he will fold a rivered boat.
Alright check his backpack, I see vibration there...something's definitely not right there...
Why people don’t give him the credit of the good fold?
WHY DA FAQCKKK DID YOU LAY DAY DOWN?!?!?!! SHOULD HAVE PAID ME OFF ON DAT HAND!??!!
That happened to be the correct fold in that exact hand and made him look like a genius or cheating however you look at it but if your folding a Q on a QQ933 board that is way to tight IMO putting your opponent on the one hand that could potentially beat you is playing too scared and you’ll lose overtime
What a fish
Even if he is thinking he’s calling to chop AT WORST it’s still going in 33 unlikely and then only Q9 beats you you cannot fold there! Unless he misread his hand lol!
We need answers to his logic!!😮
His logic is: “I only call a jam with the nuts”
It is not the right play , but kudos to him for finding it.
I know he obviously lost the hand but is this actually a good fold? Feels super exploitable.
The only reason he folds there is because of fear. Cmon guys.
Time to stop the stream right here...LOL
Maybe he just had a read or feeling? I folded bottom set to top set once, because I just felt like he had it and he did.
I've lost that way before many times, no big deal, just sayin' sometimes players have a feel for the particular game.
what a nit! btw.. he was sitting at the 2-seat... just like robbie....hmmmmm...... investigation!!!!!
How tf you put him on Q9 on the river but not on the flop
Check check all in is nutted
“You are chopping here a ton”. Well the question is: how often does dylan snap go all in with less than Q9? Does he ever go all in with just a Q when L raises river this big (and can himself have Q9)? Its not that often ; and no you are not chopping a ton if your opponent will very likely just call with Qs full of 33s and always raise you with better!
yes he stuffs all queens and L doesn't bet the flop then check behind q9
Any reasonably thinking player will not stuff all Qs over such a big raise on the river since thats going to be a Q at least for value (or Q9 or 33) or a bluff that cant call anything. why wouldn’t L have checked back Q9 on the turn? He did check back 3 Qs with a flush draw that he unblocks on board (also straight draws available).
only reason for L to call off is because he deems Dylan is not a reasonably thinking player (for lack of better terms) and he ll just go all in with Qs full by default.
L also needed to still call 7.8k hoping to maybe get back 5.4k; pretty bad proposition and not an unreasonable fold.
@@grindix you should stuff queens to try and get another queen to fold a chop. his opponent NEVER has q9. and if you think dylan should be scared to shove a queen bc of running quads then he should be afraid to shove q9 which is obviously absurd.
calling 7.8k to win 5.4k is a no brainer when you're getting that 5.4 back 80+ percent of the time. it is actually funny (and nice) how often people are scared to call to chop even when it's mathamatically correct by a mile.
Good fild but I believe he only folded due to lack of chips an the player he was against is a nit but still great fold
I dont know if folding this hand is good because youre going to be wrong alot often than youre going to be right.
I'm seeing quite a few comments saying this fold is 'exploitable' or a 'bad play in the long run' but personally I think its just someone making an insanely good decision based on a read on the situation and the player he was up against. Whose to say L wouldn't have snap called had he been in this position against a different player in a different setting? Think we need to give credit where credit is due this was a sick sick fold!
Don’t fold full houses.
@@SavvaSou ofc u can fold full houses men
