Hell nah, modern figures are so fucking crazy compared to the garbage shit we had as kids with zero articulation points and a million gimmicks that break and make the figure look like trash
I love how hapy Woolie is taking us down those happy childhood memories. Respect, man. I also kept most of my toys from those days in storage (though I can't vouch for their state, it's been YEARS since I've dug around those boxes).
That Lego man is Hikaru from Exoforce. It was an original Lego theme that ran from 2006-2008 and was based around mechs, which is probably why it was given to you. Some of the mechs were pretty sick, especially the ones from 08. Hikaru in particular always had flying mechs. The one you have doesn't have the right torso or legs though. That shit was MY childhood.
Holy fucking shit the moment that raptor screamed I was sent back 20 years to my youth with the exact same JP raptor toys! Good shit. Also that ExoSquad toy was no joke.
I never woulda thought I'd say this about a WoolieVS clip, but this was a really cute segment. I got no relation to most of the things talked about here, but Woolie was radiating an infectious joy throughout I couldn't help being sucked in.
I recently had a friend, 10 years older than me do the same thing to me. He reminisced about all his childhood memories with such glee... I didn't dare stop him. These are some rare wholesome moments we get nowadays but I admit it's a bit awkward when you can't relate with the era lol
My brother and I had a bunch of Exo-Squad figures, and we had a blast playing with them. We used to cross over with other figures like GI Joe and even the Street Fighter line. Nothing like playing out Ryu & Ken 2v2'ing robot suit soldiers. Good times.
There's nothing cringe about enjoying physical versions of things you like, people and toys/figures have been a regular pairing going all the way back to ancient fertility idols
15:24 Fun Fact about the Megatron shown in the hand. He isn't from 1990's. That is the 2021 Transformers Kingdom toy line Remaster of 90's Megatron. As part of a casual 25th anniversary of the show
I had a ton of transformers back in the day, but then my dad threw all of them away for basically no reason. He threw everything away that wasn't clothes or school supplies. My mom actually had to rescue the doll that was made for me by my grandma, his mom. He decided I had had it too good and threw everything away. And the N64 games I played, too. He kept the ones he liked, but the ones that were for me were trashed.
I know for a fact I did not have that velociraptor toy with the scream. That scream is embedded into my nostalgia as if I did, though. I heard that scream a lot as a kid. Where was it from?! 🤣
I used to have the rubber T-rex, I think it was my brothers originally. It was my absolute favourite, I used to sleep with it and my family assumed my back would be scratched to shit. Unfortunately I went "toys are uncool and childish" as a teenager to "actually battle damaged T-rex are rad as shit" years later but I can't find where it went.
So cool! My brothers and I got the Venom + Captain Commando and the War Machine + Mega Man when I was around 5 (Internet says these came out 1999 lol) and I think the only one that we have intact is Venom b/c my cousins deliberately broke the others... I remember catching one breaking off the glued in armor parts for War Machine and them saying smh
This is getting me nostalgic. Me & my siblings were Y2K kids, so we had Power Rangers & Transformers as our big ticket toys. I received (and still proudly have on display), Energon Metroplex with his shovelaxe - standing at 14 inches tall. His joints satisfyingly KERCHUNK into place, and he still towers over every other figure & statue I have on my shelves. My brother got Energon Optimus Prime, which had a trailer that he could haul that carried a fire truck, helicopter, submarine, and drilldozer - all of which attached to Prime to form Leader Prime. I also remember us getting the Power Rangers Wildforce Animus Megazord made of diecast metal. I have the black lion, jaguar, & buffalo in storage, but we lost the condor & shark awhile ago. The last toy I remember us receiving before we swapped completely over to video games was the Mystic Force Megazord, which had the individual zords that could merge into the regular megazord, or better yet - the dragon form.
Man, old school toys. I miss being able to go to a toys r us or kb toys and having a good chance at finding what you wanted, Such a different time from modern toy collecting, pre-order or bust....
I agree, we had sick ass transformers and playsets in the 90s, all my old toys and lego are stash at my parents house in my old room closet , and I don't think I could ever find them again but I remember seeing the ReBoot toys in the sears magazine and pestering my parents like "PLEASE I WANT MEGABYTE SO BAD" but I never got any of them. my Dad found some cool Zelda Action Figure tho that came with horses, so I had link with Epona and Phantom Ganon on his horse. I was kinda sad when I first realises I didn't enjoy playing with toys anymore, but I have fond memories of them. Edit: of course he has the ReBoot toys, I want them >
Kingdom Come Flash is Wally West wearing Jay Garrick's helmet, they specify which flash he is in the Absolute edition of KC and in the Kingdom miniseries about Gog and Magog.
That's funny that you have a Buster Sword with no Cloud and a Guts who looks like he should have the Dragonslayer but doesn't. I went back to see if you hadn't mistaken the Dragonslayer for the Buster Sword and yeah that's definitely the Buster Sword. Weird coincidence.
@@Seandeclanpatrick i'm sure he probably knew (or at one point knew) that the cloud that went with it was from advent children, at least. but i think it might be more likely that a lot of people who aren't, like, deep in the final fantasdy well might not totally realize the buster sword and fusion sword are different weapons, especially since the complete fusion sword so closely resembles the buster sword.
Man, when I was a wee lad, before I even knew what Trigun was, I'd go to the comic book store for the new Sonic and see that fucking Monev the Gale figure on the rack and think it was the sickest thing, but was never able to work up the courage to ask my dad for it. Only this year have I finally watched original Trigun. Imagine my disappointment to find out this seemingly hyped up character was a single episode jobber.
I love the idea that for Woolie, toys based on anime from 20 to 30 years ago are considered "modern." I'm not hating on those shows by the way, some of my favorite anime of all time are from the 90s and early 2000s. I just laugh at how that's what Woolie considers modern.
@16:03 The sheer disappointment Woolie has on his face towards Reggie not recognizing Megatron is palpable.
To be fair. I'm 36 and never got into Beast Wars.
Love how out of breath woolie is when he gets back with his toys. Really gives of excited kid vibes
13:03 Woolie returning so deep to his childhood when he says "back" it's B O C H
i love that woolie took the time to transform megatron knowing that he already had an extra one all transformed waiting in the box lmao
Reggie sitting here looking like "What the fuck is this action figure shit bro? I was grinding Ryu combos like a real man back then."
Reggie is just nodding along like "oh yeah JT Marsh for sure"
Looks directly into the camera with a wtf is happening expression
_"Pull the leg baach"_ -Woolie taken back to his Island days 😂
16:02 The way Woolie just deflated from Reggie's ignorance sandbag
His smile and optimism: GONE.
Woolie was genuinely adorable in this whole segment.
Reggie wasn't ready for The Beast Wars
Props to Reggie for humouring Woolie throughout this. He was so excited.
There's nothing sicker than being able to transform an old Transformer of memory alone
i like to believe that woolie was never actually a child, he was either born as an adult or he was the woolie we see today but shorter
Just Huey from Boondocks.
Woolie was born in the mech suit
Like in Mass Effect, adult Woolie character model, just kid-sized
Full grown hair and beard, born with the piercings and beanie
Woolies childhood story is like an isekai protag that managed to escape, he's gotta make up for the lost time
His joy is coming through the screen
You know it's funny I've never seen anyone mention it, but Woolie for some reason is too good at doing non-sensical screeching noises lol
I can see him, Pat, and Vinny having a good screeching match
I'm glad Woolie shares my love for both Beast Wars and Reboot. Such quality TV shows 👌🏻
I feel the Era of toys in the 80s to late 90s is truly S-tier. May we find its like once more in our burgeoning futures.
I grew with Bionicles which was more of a 00s kind of deal a pity Lego killed the franchise, twice
Hell nah, modern figures are so fucking crazy compared to the garbage shit we had as kids with zero articulation points and a million gimmicks that break and make the figure look like trash

Lego Exo-Force was my gateway drug into mecha, nowadays I create my own mechs with Lego and I'm very proud of them.
Holy fucking shit the moment that raptor screamed I was sent back 20 years to my youth with the exact same JP raptor toys! Good shit. Also that ExoSquad toy was no joke.
ALSO had the secret shot😂
I never woulda thought I'd say this about a WoolieVS clip, but this was a really cute segment.
I got no relation to most of the things talked about here, but Woolie was radiating an infectious joy throughout I couldn't help being sucked in.
Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.
Kenshiro, his leg broken.
The pure energy of the theme song humming in this video, MAN that’s some dopamine I needed
I had a grin ear to ear the whole bit. Love to see someone reconecting with good old memories.
I HAD THAT RAPTOR!! Fucking core memory unlocked
My man going full ghost in the shell, accessing external memories.
I recently had a friend, 10 years older than me do the same thing to me. He reminisced about all his childhood memories with such glee... I didn't dare stop him. These are some rare wholesome moments we get nowadays but I admit it's a bit awkward when you can't relate with the era lol
All that JP and Alien stuff makes me so nostalgic, omg

Good times.
Seeing Woolie go through the toy collection reminds me of my own collection. So many action figures, plushies, and statues.
For less than 30 minutes, he forgot about the possibility of cringe and truly lived his best life.
There's nothing cringe about enjoying physical versions of things you like, people and toys/figures have been a regular pairing going all the way back to ancient fertility idols
The cringe "original box, mint condition"
VS
The based "this one doesn't have his leg because I played with it every night"
@@elviejodann6544 when you're a responsible adult you can have both
post-cringe, would love to see him try neon white's dialogue again with the same mindset
Oh you just know he is taking those boxes with him to the grave
Man that Beast Wars Megatron was something we had as well... That really took me back!
Woolie looking at Reggie like an old Soldier trying to recount his war-stories to the new generation who've never even heard of the conflict.
It's really great to finally see the fabled "Giant with the neck brace" toy after all this time.
Reggie being blind to Transformers gave me whiplash
He need Reggie to show up to Woolies one day with 'the stash'.
i remember putting stronger springs into B Daman and shooting marbles into drywall.
This is vicarious happinesss, the complete inverse of your cousin showing off their drivable Jeep car and Nerf and not letting you play with it. 😊
That JP Raptor was one of my favorite toys ever.
Woolie just lets his power-level go crazy.
15:24 Fun Fact about the Megatron shown in the hand. He isn't from 1990's. That is the 2021 Transformers Kingdom toy line Remaster of 90's Megatron.

We need more of this!
Yoooooooooooo shoutouts to Woolie for pointing out that if a JP dinosaur didn't have JP symbol shit was Wack!

Oh goddamn I forgot all about Exosquad, that shit was so good, and of course the Jurassic Park stuff was gold
Woolie Vs Childhood memories

I keep waiting for him to pull out The Giant with a neck brace.
Holy crap why didn't I watch this segment earlier. It was pure joy!
I had the same J.T. Marsh ExoSquad mech, Megabyte, and screaming velociraptor. It sounds exactly as I remember it.
The nostalgia bomb of the raptor screech and trex went tooo hard
BEAST WARS LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO - WE HAVE TO TEACH REGGIE THE WAY. YEEEEES
Sent that hulk ( or at least on like it ) to the mailbag when they had it still since the original was smashed
My mouth went agape at some of these toys. I had some of these and it just swarmed my brain with nostalgia.

That secret shot is of the coolest toy guns i’ve ever seen.
It was a gimmick.
It also didn't do you any favors advertising "Secret Shot" in giant lettering down the side of the gun.
I use my Hori stick box for all my revoltech figure pieces, are stick boxes are GREAT for storage.
Somebody should tell Woolie about the Kingdom Megatron & the Masterpiece one
that alien queen is legit dude
9:55 not to be that guy but it wasn't Jay Garrick it was Wally West
His arm is the head of a TRex Reggie!!!
This was such a chill stream
Man, old school toys. I miss being able to go to a toys r us or kb toys and having a good chance at finding what you wanted, Such a different time from modern toy collecting, pre-order or bust....
Damn, seeing the beast wars toys made me wish i kept my Cheetor, Rattrap, and Dinobot
I wish I had my old Optimus Primal toy and Dino from Flintstones still. Them two and my stuffed hound dog toy used to go everywhere.
OK but photos of Young Woolie are where??? 👀 This is a DOPE curated childhood.
This feels like Reggie’s revenge of Woolie making fun of his FF6 love poem
I used to have that same JP rex and I absolutely loved that thing
just found my mothafuckin ZBOTS from my childhood in the attic, real nostalgia hit man.
_Yeahhh, he's got the water throat!_
my Monev keeps falling on my punk band of dreadknocks. he'll stand for like a year and then i'll walk in the room and it's just a body pile.
I still like that fishing over the saloon door story.
And there's that damn neck brace figure I used to hear about.
Did Guts steal the Buster Blade?
And man, when are we getting a Transformers fighting game?
15:25 had the same toy! Beastwars is so sick.
oh my god, i had that Exo Squad mecha
my memories!
Thanak you for the unboxing!!!

As someone who just recently watched Beast Wars for the first time, I agree with Woolie.
Beast Wars Megatron is awesome.
Has Woolie considered magnetizing Kenshiro's leg so he can reattach it while keeping it posable?
I wonder if Woolie ever watched that Spider-Man MTV Series by Mainframe.
Woolie theres a Transmetal 2 Megatron dragon form for Transformers legacy line its fantastic
big dumb rubbery dragon wings
Bruh if me or any of my brothers had the secret shot nerf gun it woulda been over
Something hilarious about Woolie referring to the Stargazer as fairly modern when that series was in like 2006
I used to have that Raptor. lol
This is awesome, I still have my toys in the attic.
Yo I had that T-rex. I hit the rubbery attachment part with a baseball bat and lost it, I was so sad
Reggie dgaf. I’m hype because Beast Wars Megatron is the fucking best!!
This was beautiful

Woolies toy story
i want those trigun figures something FIERCE
Lowkey regret beung made to get rid of all my old figures and toys. Luckily, i can buy my own collection nowadays.
