So… here’s my theory, Catnap obviously being the main antagonist will spread red gas to put children to sleep so they can probably do experiments on them without any trouble. I’m pretty sure the poppy play time devs said that there will be more than one antagonist. Each of the smiling critters have big mouths like cat nap, meaning all of them could potentially spread gas like cat nap, each of the gases doing different things. So I feel like each of them will be an obstacle, kind of like pj pugaplillar and bunzo bunny. So I feel like for example: There would be a game having to do with sports and exercise. I think that’s where you’ll meet the green bunny. That’s just an example and something I got from the intro of the smiling critters where the green bunny is seen kicking a soccer ball. And I noticed that most of them are opposites of each other, like Catnap and Dogday, The green bunny and the pig, and so on, I feel like they’ll be rivals and you have to pick a side, and the opposing side that you didn’t pick will come after you, including Catnap. I doubt think we’ll be playing games this time like last chapter, this time we’ll be in playcare, where the orphans were held (not hostage I don’t think LOL) as you can see, we took a train out of the main building (at the end of c2) so we’re in a different spot. And as for them becoming rivals I also doubt because they’re not evil, the PEOPLE make catnap a bigger body toy and used him against the kids, there’s a report saying how when the people let the kids see a bigger version of catnap for the first time, some were terrified and started crying but eventually they got used to him. Also, the small critters have their own scents including catnap, which is lavender. This further proves that the people who work at the place made a copy version, the big version, of catnap and used him to watch the kids and put them to sleep.
Funfact: that cartoon is actually a training tape for the orphans! So the tape teaches the orphans that breathing in the red smoke is safe and catnap loves to watch his friends! Sleep:)
If you noticed different animals had different voices like some were old, and others were like little kids, so that might represent the souls inside these animals. But catnab or catnap doesn’t, so he might not have a soul stuck inside of him and he trying to get us because we are his next soul in the chapter!

I have a theory that’s similar to yours like kinda connected. I do agree the part where the dog and cat has something against them like usual cats and dogs do, but the thing is I feel like that catnap can kinda brainwash and that stuff and had the ability to scare them to make it windy, so then he can come in. This is where it comes where I think he kinda like hypnotises them to make them think he can help and he did it to get revenge on the dog. And the moon actually represents evil I searched it up, the sun is oppisite and is like nice and all, so I think the dog knew this would happen but not when so catnap distracts him and his friends to get scared and forget about catnap, so he comes in and hypnotises them and kills them. That’s my theory :) (this took me 10 min. It’s lonngggggggggggg)

I’m watching this and chapter 3 is already out! Here’s what chapter 3 is like if you haven’t played it yet: it’s the longest chapter yet featuring 3 boss fights and 2 mini boss fights. The main boss fight is catnap. He has red smoke which makes us see horrifying things but it’s not real. He was killed by the prototype. Next up, we have miss delight. She used to be a teacher at playtime co, but after being hungry for too long, she ended up turning on her sisters and eating them. To do so, she broke off part of her plastic face, revealing her actual teeth and gums. (Doing so made her much more terrifying, watch out!) her boss fight is hard, because you have to look at her all the time. She stays still when you look at her. But she’s just pretending, because as soon as you look away, she tries to eat you up! She has a weapon named barb, made out of sharpened colored pencils. Next up, we have Dogday. He’s not my favorite, but is many people’s favorite because he’s actually nice. But the evil smiling critters possess him, making him chase after you. Even though his legs were ripped off, he’s still pretty fast so look out! Sorry I don’t know how this boss fight ended. One of the mini boss fights is nightmare catnap. His red smoke made him much scarier. You escape through an elevator. The other mini boss fight is nightmare huggy, the red gas also made huggy scary. You are destined to be caught by huggy, but don’t worry as it was just a dream. Bye! I’ll leave the rest for you to figure out.

My theory: Basically Crafty Corn (the unicorn) might have drawn the "Find the flower" or The drawings in the vents in Chapter 1 because according to Poppy Playtime's Twitter, it says she likes to draw and paint different colors alot. And "CatNap" might be the one who locked Poppy in her case. Because of the red area. And because she slept there. And there might be red gas in her case too because when we open it, we go into a deep sleep.
I have a theory, Remember in chapter 1 when we find poppy in her box we faint due to some red gas. Maybe it was Catnap as he blows red gas . And I noticed that most of them are opposites of each other, like Catnap and Dogday, The green bunny and the pig, and so on, I feel like they’ll be rivals and you have to pick a side, and the opposing side that you didn’t pick will come after you, including Catnap. Another theory that I have it’s that all of them are possessed by Catnap and kinda like his slaves. But I think Dogday will be the only one who knows Catnaps wrong doings, so he helps us out through the chapter, but based on the smiling critters teaser, I think he’ll die a litter more than half way through the chapter, leaving us to defeat Catnap. Idk if this could be true but that’s just what I’m thinking
I doubt think we’ll be playing games this time like last chapter, this time we’ll be in playcare, where the orphans were held (not hostage I don’t think LOL) as you can see, we took a train out of the main building (at the end of c2) so we’re in a different spot.
And as for them becoming rivals I also doubt because they’re not evil, the PEOPLE make catnap a bigger body toy and used him against the kids, there’s a report saying how when the people let the kids see a bigger version of catnap for the first time, some were terrified and started crying but eventually they got used to him. Also, the small critters have their own scents including catnap, which is lavender. This further proves that the people who work at the place made a copy version, the big version, of catnap and used him to watch the kids and put them to sleep.

I have a theory that’s similar to yours like kinda connected. I do agree the part where the dog and cat has something against them like usual cats and dogs do, but the thing is I feel like that catnap can kinda brainwash and that stuff and had the ability to scare them to make it windy, so then he can come in. This is where it comes where I think he kinda like hypnotises them to make them think he can help and he did it to get revenge on the dog. And the moon actually represents evil I searched it up, the sun is oppisite and is like nice and all, so I think the dog knew this would happen but not when so catnap distracts him and his friends to get scared and forget about catnap, so he comes in and hypnotises them and kills them. That’s my theory :) (this took me 10 min. It’s lonngggggggggggg)

Catnap And Dogday are the names of the dog and the cat people have said that a dogday can represent a bad day and cats are well known for having cat naps Catnap does not kill the orphans it’s more of a put to sleep kind of creature or monster the reason the main character is trying to not get gassed is so they don’t fall asleep because it’s more than likely That Catnap definitely does not have good intentions in the game more then likely it will kill us if we inhale the gas and fall asleep(last part is speculation I made from the gas shown but the credits do say some of the characters names each having one of the animals meaning the dog is probably called DogDay as it was shown in the credits)

I’m watching this and chapter 3 is already out! Here’s what chapter 3 is like if you haven’t played it yet: it’s the longest chapter yet featuring 3 boss fights and 2 mini boss fights. The main boss fight is catnap. He has red smoke which makes us see horrifying things but it’s not real. He was killed by the prototype. Next up, we have miss delight. She used to be a teacher at playtime co, but after being hungry for too long, she ended up turning on her sisters and eating them. To do so, she broke off part of her plastic face, revealing her actual teeth and gums. (Doing so made her much more terrifying, watch out!) her boss fight is hard, because you have to look at her all the time. She stays still when you look at her. But she’s just pretending, because as soon as you look away, she tries to eat you up! She has a weapon named barb, made out of sharpened colored pencils. Next up, we have Dogday. He’s not my favorite, but is many people’s favorite because he’s actually nice. But the evil smiling critters possess him, making him chase after you. Even though his legs were ripped off, he’s still pretty fast so look out! Sorry I don’t know how this boss fight ended. One of the mini boss fights is nightmare catnap. His red smoke made him much scarier. You escape through an elevator. The other mini boss fight is nightmare huggy, the red gas also made huggy scary. You are destined to be caught by huggy, but don’t worry as it was just a dream. Bye! I’ll leave the rest for you to figure out.

Catnap's tail is in the shape of a 3, like Chapter 3. Nothing exciting, but I do think it's a cool Easter Egg.
Someone in another video said when the critters are happy and begging for capnap to put them asleep they said that's what Catnap sees.
My theory: Basically Crafty Corn (the unicorn) might have drawn the "Find the flower" or The drawings in the vents in Chapter 1 because
according to Poppy Playtime's Twitter, it says she likes to draw and paint different colors alot. And "CatNap" might be the one who locked Poppy in her case. Because of the red area. And because she slept there. And there might be red gas in her case too because when we open it, we go into a deep sleep.
I think the dog will help you because the collar on the dog has a sun you may need him to get past pets with the sleeping gas maybe

I have a theory,
Remember in chapter 1 when we find poppy in her box we faint due to some red gas. Maybe it was Catnap as he blows red gas . He maybe wants us to not go further and is jealous that we have went and explored the playtime factory till it’s dangerous and deepest parts and we haven’t died those times exploring the facotry, and also the gas mask in the trailer it has a reason. Maybe that’s the only way we can be safe from Catnaps gas. I also think that the dog might help us because the dog is the opposite of Catnap , he is nice and has the sun charm. He may help us and Catnap and Dogday might have a serious fight in which the dog loses and he collapses. Which shows us the dog on the ground theory. The Catnap and Dogday fight must have a reason. Dogday is a heretic right? So Catnap doesn’t want that and he kills Dogday. Remember it’s just a theory.
