When there used to be grass beds in the Mosquito Lagoon I would stand up in my kayak and pole or paddle very slow over the beds until I spooked something. I would then stake out and throw a cut bait out and usually within 20 minutes I would have him in the boat. If nothing hit with a half an hour I would continue on doing the same thing until I spooked another one and then repeat the process. Works really good if you have grass beds.

Last year I used finger mullet cut in half works awesome especially the head part
