Petr did this weird hybrid of starting slow in the 1st round and also being angry AF and swinging for the fences on the few shots he did throw. He only hit Aljo 5 or 6 times in the whole round. Aljo hit him a good number, no less than 10 at BARE minimum. If Petr got rid of that “slow start” strategy for this fight specifically, he would have beaten Aljo. But he failed to win the fight sadly. And it lies on him. Also getting stuck on the ground for the better part of the 2nd and 3rd rounds, was terrible for him, even if it seems Aljo “wasn’t doing much” as people said, if Petr was on the ground, didn’t want to be on the ground, and couldn’t get off the ground, all because of Aljo’s grappling, then that IS effective grappling. And because the first round was so slow and boring from both fighters but Aljo had more volume; he wins a razor close decision. And Round 2, under the modified rules, could have easily been a 10-8. When a fighter dominates via striking or grappling for the majority of a round. Aljo definitely did that round 2, Petr barely did ANYTHING on offense and spent the whole time defending.
@@thornadohq5048 yeah it seems people are forgetting that octagon control is only accounted for is strikes are even. Sterling landed enough strikes that even the two heavy shots yan landed weren’t enough to beat the volume aljo landed.
I went 10/11 on this card and this fight killed my parlay

My poor parlay
Aljo definitely won the first three rounds and gave the last two rounds away.

Definitely, I was saying the same thing
Be honest guys. How'd you score that fight?
3-2 Sterling
Petr 3-2. It’s by no means a robbery. It’s unfortunate for Petr tho.
3 -2 sterling. Like you said both didn't have many moments. Aljo leads stats in rd 1. He wins simple
