Thanks for all of the positive comments. Shocks and springs next on the list, and there are a few more manageable jobs to tackle, but the scary stuff is all sorted now. Big thanks to Neil and my current employers for making it possible to enjoy it once again.
Wow, What the heck! You're literally around the corner from me! I recognised the area cause of the train tracks and surrounding area. Ive just brought an ALFA 159 too
Great to see a new video Neil and to have the channel back, just wanted to say thanks for sorting out my Spider on Thursday - couldn’t recommend your work enough, and we did get to the wedding incident-free!
Beautiful car and well done on saving it. In period a work colleague had an identical brand new Nuvola blue GTV V6 as his company car, I was very jealous!
Great road test video more of these please Neil! For anyone needing work doing, I’ve started taking my GTV twinspark to Neil this summer for service and am very happy with all his work and advice. The workshop is Alfa paradise!
Excellent work Neil as usual another saved. Can’t believe it’s been over a month oh the joys of getting old . Shame I’m not near you as I’d be getting you to do the rear arches inner and outer on my gtv . Love your work
Great to see you taking it out for a drive after all your hard work on it. It really makes a difference to see one of the beauties back on the road and in fine fettle!
Glad you are back! Keep doing what are you doing, because it is high quality work and serial.. Greetings from Croatia from an "alfista", (and fiatista, because i have Fiat coupe and some more..)
It's great your back, Niel! Not having to hassle with camera's seems to have enabled you to get some mighty fine work done. Like I said before: I wish you also did Citroën Xm's and lived near. I kind of get on by myself but last ime I brought my car to my "officialy designated mechanic" I got it back with superficially covered paint and bumper damage. Going back the guy was of course not aware of anything ever having happened! Such "proffesionals" can be found on every street corner. Niels are alas rarer!
Fantastic restoration well done indeed love the colour I had a Bravo 155 hgt in a similar colour Sassi grey metallic i think it was changes colour in the different light , I'm sure the customer is going to be over the moon :)
Welcome back Neil & I hope you had a good break from YT. I see you've been busy in the workshop these past few weeks & the GTV is looking stunning in it's restored bodywork and blue paintwork I like the new style of the video, especially the test drive, which seemed to indicate new rear springs & shocks are needed, to stop the tyres rubbing in the wheel arch. I hope the owner can arrange to have these items replaced in the near future. Please keep up the good work. 👍
Hi M8 I've a recommendation for you. Vactan is the only rust converter I've found to work it acts as a primer and doesn't have to be washed off with water! Great restoration BTW 👍
When ever you get the chance could you do a video on how to remove the console around the Hazzard lights switch and the a/c controls.. cheer's.. Good to see you back !
Lovely colour. Is it that Portofino blue the Fiat 20v came in? Suits the GTV really well. You've turned it into a really fabulous looking car, Neil. Bravo!
What a job and a beautiful car! You can have the aerial from my GTV, head unit too if you like. Why would you ever need other sound than from the Busso?
No Leaks comment after road test. @ 12:05 there was fluid/water around Fluid Reservoir ? also heard' ting, twings, while braking. (bedding in ?) An under Car view since resto would be nice. (or did i miss that already) in prior vids ??. Anyway Nice to see you back. See you in the next one. Car looks FAB and well done to your hard work..👍👍👍
love this channel this cat has kicked my ass im a stone cold ford man how ever ive missed the boat on the cars i swoon for and it seems if you fancy some italian fun itsstil in the reach of a ordinardy person. excuse my exspeling proper dislesckick
Thanks for the great series. I'm a Yank interested in importing GTVs and I expected some issues body wise-but when I see this-it gives me pause. Body work is a quick way to be upside down in a car trade. What do you feel the underlying cause of all the rust was? Was it-salty roads, was it-leaky water shields -window glass wipers letting water accumulate . It just looks crunchy-and Id expected this generation to be much improved
if fiats are anything to go by they just seems to eat shocks and other suspension and steering components LOL she sounds very nice......smooth and linear. body and paints come up nice too.
This is the color of my car Alfa romeo 156, 2500 V6, Italy name ( azzurro nuvola) this color change tonality of the light, it as been ideacted of by Walter De Silva the Italy designer of the designer of the model 156.this color Mach delicate, and elegance united at new tendence of the sport. The alfa it is the number one in the elegance, performance in the cars world. My best whishis
What is disappointing about this now is the MOT record July 24 shows corrosion issues after considerable money spent. Once it starts it would appear to be impossible to stop. Just wonder what the owner thinks?
Good luck with finding an oe aerial bought mine a few years ago for £150 but looked on partsworld website they want over £400 !!!! What’s going on with prices ?☹️
100,000 miles approx, needs 3rd gear synchro and sills have been welded in past ? With Velour interior ??? Original pepperpots. If it’s the one I think it is.
I know you have said on various videos but what area are you based as I’m looking to purchase another gtv6 next year as I’m really regretting selling my one! Anyway I was wondering if you would be interested in restoring the one I bye? I obviously have two choices as getting the best I can find and take a chance or bye 1 that needs a lot of work and not be disappointed with what I bye! I just trust your opinion as you seem to love these cars 😃 great work by the way 👏
That means that some module was replaced in the past and the "proxy aligment" wasn't done. It can be done with anyone with multiecuscan. That procedure is to sync the module with the rest kf the car. If the proxy can't be done. It is probably a module from a different model. Example from a GT. Window modules are not compatible and also you can't do proxy if your tachometer is not from a 147.
@@ItaliaAutos That makes sense .For some reason I thought you were driving and both gauges were on 0! Great too see a new vid. As a recent Alfa owner I`ve been lapping up your 147 content.
This is another car I want and love that colour its amazing
Welcome back! Great video, and thanks for saving that GTV!

Drove a 2L one of these a fair few times. Loved it. Loved the handling. Just unfortunately at the time the boot space, etc, wasn't viable for me.
Great to see you back Neil. Test drives a great idea. 3.2 Alfa V6's now are nearly unobtainable on price.
Good to see you back! That’s a lovely GTV - you must be very pleased with the way it turned out.

Those brembo always squeak without a genuine pad! Same on the Coupes!

bad choice of location to live id say was the main cause.
well done!!

It is something that needs keeping on top of every year. Once rust has set in you need to keep treating every year. If you don't it will rot again
Fair play that man 👍
Good luck with finding an oe aerial bought mine a few years ago for £150 but looked on partsworld website they want over £400 !!!! What’s going on with prices ?☹️
Ouch.
5:40 nah mate, sounds fantastic ;)
Do I spot a 156 with big wing in the background ?
Is it a 98’ 2.5 V6 24V with Pearlescent paint ?
Yep it's in for a steering rackand other stuff.
100,000 miles approx, needs 3rd gear synchro and sills have been welded in past ? With Velour interior ??? Original pepperpots.

I'm in Walsall West midlands
I think that for a greater work you should paint the brake calipers
Customer budget didn't allow for it. But it's on his list.
@@ItaliaAutos for me is the only detail to have exterior perfect
In your opinion, which 24V Busso equiped Alfa has the best handling?
Gtv and 156 gta.
love these cars but a bag of trouble
As far as classics go there pretty good. But just don’t get a bad one.
Guys i have just bought my first alfa Romeo 147 1.6 with 120hp. But the drived kilometers are stuttering on the dashboard. Is this A big problem?

Is the instrument cluster not working?
It's just the way I filmed the extra shots. It's working fine
