That's nuts ! We went there back around 2008. There were just a small handful of tourists. It was mostly locals buying produce. Looks like the word has spread ! Also, it used to be only 2 train cars. We took the train from Bangkok to Mahachai, hopped on the ferry across the river and walked to Ban Laem station and rode the train directly through the market
