Do yourself a favor and join an off-road club to learn about your new hobby. You should always travel with another vehicle if possible. You never know when something unexpected happens. Both of you should learn how to spot a driver through an obstacle. There are only a few commands to learn and it is very easy to understand from spotter or driver position. Your video was fun to watch. Not a lot of camera movement like some videos out there. Thanks for taking the time to create and post your outing.
Great advice and stuff I do know. Things have changed a lot since this video was shot. We lifted the Jeep, made some modifications to it and now have a lot more experience. We did this trail again a few weeks ago and it seemed so much easier. I was truly feeling stressed that day though that we went out and shot this video. All the best to you and thanks for the nice comments on the video.
I've had my 2013 wrangler sport 4x4 jeep 4 months now and I'm doing some upgrades to it. I'm going to get a good set of 285 70 16 AT tires and a winch for it and some other stuff for the jeep wrangler sport 2 door. Love my jeep and look forward to going out to some of the jeep trails
That's awesome Lloyd! It is a really fun trail. I can't wait to get back and and do it again. I think I'm going to head up to the Buck Rock look out next and eventually Signal Peak a bit North of here.
@harminder87 - Awesome my friend! We Love this trail so much. We just headed that way on New Years Eve Day. Check out the short video that I just posted.
Thanks for the comment Lesko Brandon. Yeah, now days it's a pretty popular 4x4 trail. I've seen video's and pictures of the top packed with people having BBQ's, etc. I just ran this route a few weeks ago on a Friday and we had the place to ourselves. The forestry employee that mans the fire lookout told us that folks are now doing moonlit runs up to the peak. I wouldn't want any part of that personally.
Thank you man, I really appreciate that. I have several of these videos backed up just waiting to find the time to edit them. It sure was awesome up there though.
That's awesome and welcome to the Jeep Family! It really is a lot of fun. I have 2 or 3 more videos I just haven't had the time to edit yet. Coming soon.
Hey Nick, you're right, LOL. That was the second time we ever went offroad and I was admittedly nervous. We ran that trail again two weeks ago and it was a cake walk this time.
Thanks for the comment. If you're driving up from Fresno, you can plan on most of the day. The trail itself (once you get to it) is not that long. Maybe plan for 2.5 hours up and slightly less down. If you're an experienced driver you'll go much faster than we did on this first trip. We've since done the trail several more times after lifting the Jeep and putting larger tires on it and it was substantially easier.
Absolutely, depending on time of year as you have street tires. You don't need lockers for this trail. You will drag your bottom in several spots though.
That was when we first got the Jeep. It was my car for the first year but now it is 100% Linda's. She won't give it up for anything now and she has done a lot of decent wheeling in it now.

That is awesome! I can't even describe how much we have loved our Jeep. Keep on adventuring Jack!
That looks fun! Beautiful up there.
It was!
Ran it it in a stock gladiator, rubbed a few times due to low and long gladiator, but not too bad, I’d say start early

Love the tour guide thanks man!! My brother-in-law got a lifted rubicon and we will definitely go there.

Amen! Nice photography and great driving! Now I want to see if my ancient, stock Tundra can do that trail. Thank you for the nice video!
Thank you for the comments Keith. I had a Tundra for about 11 years. Loved that truck, just loved it!
When in my teen years, I've camped at the top, not too many people would drive up that way back then

Nice video. Im thinking about hitting that trail soon as well and appreciate the clear directions how to get there.
Thank you. It's a great trail and I hope you have a lot of fun!
Awesome video man. The cameras always make the stuff look flat. Nice wheeling up there.

You are in a Rubicon. There's no stress offroading dude. That was funny

Sweet video. I want to make it up there. How long did this trail take you?

Do you think a stock jlu Sahara would make it up?

If she is the one that wanted the Jeep, why isn't she driving it?
