Wow, you did a fantastic job with the pony tail, l love it. Such a gorgeous realistic piece. You're so right about women having a more ashy, mousey brown, wish they made more mousey brown colors.
I like the idea of bringing up biohair and incorporating it at the nape. I got an RW Spotlight (in RL4/10SS) and two JR HH Siennas, custom balayaged from Gardeaux wigs, so I could easily make even a high ponytail. Both of them have regular wefted caps behind the monotop/lace front, of course. That means, I can secure them at the nape with a small bobby pin or two and avoid having to sew in clips. They are light density and that helps, and long. I had thought of Mesmerized but was concerned that the medium density would make it too thick. So I got Show Stopper, Rachel, and Zara Lite instead. I do think I will try the Walker tape, though. I have some and think that will help with any lace buckling issues I have from time to time. Great techniques here, Michele. No one would ever guess you are wearing a ig! 💖💖
Hi Liz! Wow, you clearly have quite a bit of experience with wigs and ponytails!😀👍 I love the idea of securing the wig at the nape with bobby pins (when you have a wefted cap), instead of using wig clips, and I agree completely, the lighter density is better for styling your wig into a ponytail. I bet all of the styles you mentioned look great in ponytails! One feature that I do really appreciate on Zara Lite and Mesmerized is the ear-to-ear lace front (Zara Lite) extended lace front (Mesmerized). For me, I feel like that really helps make the hairline more realistic when pulling the fibers away from the face. I have heard of the balayage highlighting technique and would like to try a style that has it - I bet it's beautiful!! Thanks so much for watching and comparing notes with me!!😀💗
@@micheleswigreviews Gardeaux wigs are gorgeous and beautifully made, and affordable considering they are 100% Remy human hair. I have six of them and feel they are the most realistic pieces I own. I, like you, had been wearing extensions for 20 years. They did not cause bald spots but my hair is thinning in front so I switched to toppers and wigs in 2013. I love my collection and have learned which to avoid so I don't make costly mistakes now. Yet, I am still learning and love your channel, Michele. Thank you for doing this for us! 💗💗
Hi Michelle 👋 Your lovely video resonates all the way to Israel 😊😊 U are one of my favorite influencers!! I think u are the only 1 who made a video focusing on the nape area of the mesmerized wig so we could specifically see how it looks as a pony tail and at such a close view-range!!! I wanna personally thank u for being so meticulous and dedicating your precious time in order to make these important wig reviews... I live in Israel and I never bought a wig on line ..it's very risky and might be dissapointing... But !! With your lovely detailed wig review it mitigates and assuage my fear to buy wigs online...especially internationally!! Thank u so much for what your doing!! It means so much to me!!! Be blessed✡❤
Thanks so much for your kind comments!😀🥰 I love that this community is international and that we can share our journeys even if we live in different time zones and countries and speak different languages! I'm so glad that you found my review and styling video helpful. You are very welcome! Thanks for watching!!💖
Wow than hand toed cap is a game changer for styling - I have Spotlight in shaded biscuit on order - I cannot wait to get mine now!! I will have to cut some hair into the nape I think - I am hoping that will do the trick to make her look natural :)
Spotlight is on my list of wigs I would like to try. I hope you love her! Re cutting hair into the nape, I have seen that done and it looked good. You can also use wig tape at the nape to help secure the wig, if needed. Good luck!😀❤
OMG it’s beautiful on you! Almost like Raquel’s Spotlight Elite, but longer - which is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. Thank you for this video. Now I have another reason to shop for wigs🤣
Thanks so much Barbara!😀 I have not been wearing Mesmerized on a regular basis, so I can't speak to that. But the fibers are very silky and because it's a straight style they don't tangle very much. Hope this helps!❤
Wow, nicely done! I love a high ponytail 😃 It looks amazing. To create that is well beyond the advanced class of wigs, and I'd say it is even beyond the master class!
Hi Cheryl! Thanks so much!😀❤ I used to wear toppers quite a bit. I don't know if you were able to see it in my video but I have traction alopecia (in addition to androgenic alopecia) from wearing toppers! It's probably my fault though because I did not rotate the clips the way you should and usually wore the toppers in a ponytail, which pulls on the clips (I did not have wig tape back then). I also prefer wearing wigs now because I feel that they provide me with more coverage and as long as they are low density I find that they work just as well as toppers do for updos.
@@wendyamsterdam8482 Good luck! I purchased the Walker wig tape from wigs.com. I will add that to my description. I love the color too - I will have to try 8RH14! 😀❤
You're so welcome Julie!😀 That's a really good question! I should mention that the next time I use tape in a video... Jon Renau makes a Lace Let Go Adhesive Remover. What I recommend doing is to push the wig up a bit by the ear tabs and then very gently insert a Q-tip with Lace Let Go remover on it under the lace front and slowly separate the wig from your forehead. You want to be very careful not to stretch the lace front. Hope this helps!❤
Thank you! Do you find that the brunette colors in the heat fiber are more shiny than the rooted blondes? I’m a natural brunette and this color looks natural to my bio hair as well. But I’m torn between iced cafe latte right now. Do you find the cafe latte is more yellow around the face in the highlights? Sorry so many questions I’m a newbie and I’m going to buy my first wig from RW.
@@lisamariebeanz3486 You are so welcome, Lisa Marie!😀 I don't have a style in Iced Cafe Latte but from the videos I have watched, it does look like there are some chunks of golden highlights around the face. Blonde shades tend to look more shiny than brunettes. You can tone down the shine with some dry shampoo powder (I would avoid the spray due to the recent recall of some aerosolized dry shampoos). If you are asking about my preference, I generally would prefer a rooted and highlighted color. I think these colors are so beautiful. I can't wait to try Iced Cafe Latte myself. If I plan on wearing a style in a ponytail, then I try to match my bio hair more. Good luck, I hope you love the style and color you choose!💖

Brilliant work on blending that nape. You wear this wig so effortlessly; it's beautiful on you!
Thanks so much for your kind words, Sarah!☺💖
I really like your tips here with the shadow and tape! Looks so real!!

I bought this wig because of your great review. You have a very good taste for wigs. Thanks for doing this job!🌸👏👌
