The leading of this guy is his true ability. He has understood how the mechanic of human body works. He has mastered lots of stretches and compresses of the dance. He has great musicality. He explains with his social dance that there's no mistake, you are probably not on time, or your body is not on right position or your footwork probably started too early or too slow, or your hands don't "hear" your partner. Everything can happen if two dancres are conventional, new moves can be created. Of course lots of work needed. He's a true inspiration. Didn't do trends like now most of the community do. I think all leaders (Max, Thomas, William, Dax, Skye, Remy, Kevin, Juan, Nathan, Rikard, that are on RUclips from 2003 till 2016, the teachers of the teachers are the best.Max and Thomas are all around lindy hop dancers. True talents specially Max before most of the community banned them. There's a recent video with Thomas and Carole that explains the true meaning of lindy hop. Your footwork, your moves, your stretches, on solo or on couples are just "rhythms", you are an organ that creates sounds and rhythms and you must be conventional with the band. ruclips.net/video/4WvZmQ65Hao/видео.html

I'm glad you are recognizing not just the dancers of the original era, but those who have made great strides in our time.

I've heard of him but this is the first time I've ever tied the face to the name. I just watched the midwest lindyfest 2010 with him and Annie Trudeau dancing and Max's face at 2:17 says it all. Time to go down the rabbit hole.

I was lucky enough to know, dance with, and take a few lessons from Todd when he was still in the Sac/Davis area. I agree with all of this. Also he probably misses my Rice Crispy treats and baked goods since he off and moved, lol.
