This is very good story. However, our primary source of Islam is Quran (word of Allah). Together with this, you get the practical example which is the Sunnah (which we get through ahadith).
If we spend time talking about Quran and ahadith, we may not cover everything in our lifetime. That's how much there is to understand in Quran and ahadith.
I wonder why we talk about saints so much. I respect them. I will never be against the friends of Allah swt. They have earned a high status - Allahu Aalam. I think we should do Quran and ahadith first. This will purify everything. Allah swt elevates certain people. We should leave that to Allah swt and concentrate on how we are going to elevate ourselves insha Allah.
Love to ALL Muslims without exception.

Biyazid was near to the Creator - that is anywhere and everywhere....maybe not as close to the great prophet, Muhammad SAW - who is nearest to God. In pain or pleasure, Biyazid was present. In his forgetfulness, God was probably remembering him after Muhammad and his close friends
