As a Delta Skymilage member with a Delta credit card and a person that's constantly flying; I think one of the reasons they are doing this is because the lounges have become so overcrowded! It became too easy to enter the lounge that those that really deserve it can't even enjoy it... Multiple times I was either denied entry because it was too full or being inside to "relax" was worst than just being outside the lounge.
The cost of those cards are 650.00 a year and it’s funny how you see delta employees in the airport pushing the cards trying to get you to sign up. However, when you actually try to use the benefits you now have to be on a certain type of ticket and the agents are so rude if you are not. If a passenger is willing to pay almost 700 a year for a credit card it shouldn’t matter what type of ticket they are on. I have seen passenger in the lounge and they will have multiple guests with them and the agents will allow all of them excess to the club. I know this is an old video but I was in the lounge recently and a passenger had six guests with him and they were all allowed access to the club. To me this is why the club is overcrowded, there should be a limited on how many guest you can bring into the lounge. However, you will have a passenger come in by themselves and they are turned away because they are on the wrong ticket.
@@indifferentadvocate1737 I agree, a lounge is supposed to be a relaxing experience, not having CC holders flying in economy with their children playing tag or frat brats being AU on parents CC having speaker phone convos and pounding drinks like it’s a party lounge.
Ok so it's a lounge for high rollers. It's a lounge. Why do so many people want to sit in a rich people's club so badly? Just find somewhere to sit so you won't miss your flight.😂
@@JohnSkyLey Yes,but I'm a vacation flier. Not looking to do work in an airport lounge. And since I'm not a frequent flier and I'm working on my credit,I'm in the main halls, sitting near my gate or snacking or getting McDonald's or something.
I will cancel My delta platinum because of this.....
Who cares! Trust me Delta don’t care about you or others.
Delta only cares about 💰💰.
They will still make billions
Good riddens. You always have spirit

It's quiet, free food, and a place to sit relax and get work done. You never fly before??

Not quiet lately and the food is mediocre.
