- This unsuspecting BEAST of a Cobra surprised us at Texas Invitational, as it pulled up to the burnout box only slightly louder than FACTORY, the driver floors it unleashing the crazy sound that the twin 76mm turbo's flowing through the stock ported blower produced! Not only did it sound crazy at WOT, this Mustang RIPPED people out of the hole leaving their jaws dropped as they gave it all they had to pull past at the top-end

I know, I mean I get it when ford and chevy guys kinda rag on each other, like in a joking way but even though they like one more than the other they respect the other guys ride. But to hate? I just dont get that. Im a chevy lover but this mustang is bad ass. Idk how people that claim to be die hard gear heads could not give any automobile to this caliber credit. Just my opinion though.

Sergio Rizo i plan on converting from solid axle to irs at one point too. they dont realize that a few simple mods and the irs will be really strong and not have much wheel hop

Danny Contreras Now imma explain how this works, the Corba owner is one smart cookie for going with a GV, So his engine torque times his gearing which in this case was a healthy 1.93 1st over gear. So lets say he is making an average of 1000 Ft lb of TQ that means at the wheels he is making 5400 ft lb of tq (that would be in the regular 2nd gear but he is running a GV and it would look like this) Whereas with the new gear (1st over in this case) it makes 6980 ft lb of tq, which torque number would you want accelerating your car bro 5400 or 6980, i'd take the latter lol

I said the 4.6L DOHC 32V V8 is the best engine ever made for years and I believe this proves it. Can you imagine how many engines this setup would sling apart?
32 valve DOHC TEKSID BLOCK is rated for 1500hp unlike the 32 valve DOHC iron block that's found in the 03-04 cobras

knowxvill 300rwhp can get pretty fun...a decent street car...people get caught up in crazy numbers..300/400 is a good ride...

Twincharging is the technical name for what the owner of the cobra did to that motor. On a side note, I'd like to see that viper run the cobra again with a manstick not a sequential gearbox. Would've been an even better race

I know this is a 4 year old comment but here it's mostly the instant supercharger kick giving it the start advantage over all those laggy turbo-only cars.
There's some early 1900s cars with 200 hp at 2500 rpm (limiter) that made 2000 lbs-ft of torque. Geared to the moon they made good race cars. You can watch em slide around a track as easily as a GT car.
@@WymiataczPlays Its equivelant to less hp and more torque in the sense that the engine is probably making a bit less hp than the cars around it but with the supercharger and EFI the engine would make way more torque than the other engines.
To support your point, it's a (not widely enough) known fact in racing....horsepower sells cars...torque wins races.

People need to realize a few things that get over looked due to inexperience or general lack of knowledge... cars are systems and have to be constantly tuned and dialed in especially when on this level (of power). Every run is not generally gonna be exactly the same. If the car is dialed in perfect for/and weather conditions are stable, they could be consistent but theres always the X factor. These guys were tweeking their setups between runs. Sometimes it takes longer to get it perfect (for the day) sometimes you overshoot your setup (like too much boost or too much too soon) and have to dial it back in certain rpm, gears, etc. Its ridiculous for someone to make a ignorant comment like oh its a v8 with a supercharger and twins and thats what it needs etc etc etc...Look at it from the stand point of this guy chose to use a compound boost setup and see what how he could perform with it. Awesome, its something you dont see everyday! RUclips keyboard racers are funny.
if it was a holley system(one that tunes itself after each run and gets better and better). even on pure nitrous(although bad idea cause thats not a reliable way to make power especially not on the street).. it just depends on the tech. with stuff like atomic EFI or holley SNIPER, that stuff auto tunes itself.
Teskid 4.6 block and stock heads and ported blower... along with the TT. That's for those lambo guys you could build a ton of those cobras for the price of one of those lambos...

What a bad ass group of cars!! The sequential gear box viper probably won that race bc of his gear box. I don't understand why more ppl into drag/roll drag racing aren't all doing that. There is so much time loss in a shift that it's hard to keep up, even with more hp. That Cobra is sweet set up! I bet after more and more problem solving & shake down runs that thing will continue to get faster!
Terminators a lot of bang for the buck, Graig Jackson says to keep your eyes on them, they will quadruple in price in the next decade, they're at the same price now as was the BOSS 9's a few years ago, the Mustang haters can't stand them, cause they will clean their clock, Mustang enthusiasts love them, there the best "Pocket Rocket" fox platform on new edge body style, I own 2.....
