- The Army Commanders' Conference, held for the first time at a forward location near the China border in Gangtok, Sikkim, sent a strong signal to Beijing amidst heightened tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). With China deploying an additional 90,000 troops in the region, the conference, led by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, reviewed India’s operational readiness and focused on national security strategies, infrastructure development, and civil-military integration. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized the importance of these efforts, particularly infrastructure projects by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), to close the gap with China. Discussions also centered on resolving LAC disputes, especially in Depsang and Demchok, and preparing for the fifth winter deployment in challenging terrain #DDWithDanvir
