Yes To Young India Fellowship, No To MBA! Ft. Samarendra P, Ashoka University, Genpact

Samarendra Patra has too many feathers on his cap.
At 21, he became the first youth poet Ambassador to India and made an entry to the Limca Book of Records-2013, for which he was felicitated by the Chief Minister of his state.
With a flair for words, he published his first book on poetry 'Mind Paintings' and has since served as a contributing author in other publications.
He graduated from SRM University with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 2014.
Despite great offers through campus-placements, he chose to go for the highly competitive ' Young India Fellowship', the Liberal Arts and Leadership program of Ashoka University, which has less than a 5% intake.
He got in with the Ajay Bahl Scholarship and graduated from the cohort in 2015 as a winner of the ' YIF Spirit Award' for his initiatives. From the YIF Fellowship, he was placed at Genpact, where he is currently spearheading as the Manager of Consulting and Transformation Services.
If that wasn't enough, he has won the Gold Award Genpact and was also selected for the Genpact Fellowship, which is a rare corporate fellowship, open to those who are looking to contribute towards social impact.
