So sad how this is such a rare experience in 2021. In that Blockbuster doc on Netflix Kevin Smith said something like "it's a shittier world now" with video stores no longer being a part of our culture. It's so true. Love your enthusiasm, Shawn. Physical media forever!
If "Blockbuster Video" was considered "Wall to wall entertainment", this place is "Wall to wall nostalgia". What a place, great video.
I agree it really was.
Bring back don-murph for one episode⁰
Sir, such vast disc shops are becoming the things of the past. In Mysore city, Karnataka, India.we don't have one disc shop like this, I am searching 4k/blue ray disc,of the movie Mackenna's gold, to enjoy the greatness of grand canyon, any help ?
5:35 Did you add "Aids can I get it?" to your collection?
Coolduder you are only 35 Years old and you was in over 200 Movies, you are a true B-Movie Legend.
Not gonna lie, I got choked up with nostalgia overload watching this and it was only 7 min into the video. The Disney clamshell VHS boxes did it for me. Thank you for filming this. Its earned its place in my Favorites folder!
Ditto. I loved the sealed clamshell VHS boxes. Great stuff, Shawn!
That place looked great! Luved all those oldschool tapes! So much retro goodness!
I agree it was so awesome
You know things are rare when Shawn doesn't recognize them! What a find and a cool place to kill a couple hours! These are the best videos!
I know that place had some totally amazing stuff
Hey. :)
Such a rare and wonderful store. It really looks frozen in time, like they stocked absolutely everything until the late 90s and then just stopped and never sold anything. I wonder what their secret is to stay alive.
I know the store really was frozen in time
@@coolduder did you see a vhs copy of osmosis jones or dvd in this vhs shop or a bugs life
5:02 “There’s this many copies!!!....” *movie rack collapses*
That’s great that some places have a lot of old Titles
Really did for sure
Wow this store is the Heaven for collectors, thanks for amazing video my dear friend 😍😍
I agree loved it so much
What an amazing and awesome video store i can't believe im saying that these days but going there would be like going back in time as there were so many videos as well how i miss those days i rather visit that store then Disneyland if i could take a trip but what memories by watching this video thank you so much for sharing takecare
I know it was such a cool spot
Fun video Shawn ... This place is like a time machine it reminded me of going to my local video store every weekend back in the 90's 💯
Lol really was.
I could cry with joy after seeing this video store and especially the VHS Horror section.
Wow! That video store is truly incredible. I'm totally blown away by how many rare titles there are and by how many animation and horror movies are there on VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray. :)
I know that place was so col.
2:19 THE GOOD SON!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I still got all of my VHS tapes
Awesome.
I find horror movies more appealing to watch on vhs tape. The janky defects and lines adds to the quality IMHO.
Great video as always, Shawn. I love your enthusiasm. It's very contagious.
Thanks so much :)
@@coolduder You're welcome.
This store is crazy... Pressure cookers and puppets, in the DVD section
Simply a phenomenal place. If you're ever in the Detroit area, there's a store called Video Exclusive in Dearborn you should visit. 20,000+ movies (some are 18+), the assistant manager CJ is cool, looks like a Blockbuster, and a nice horror section. I highly recommend it.
Cool if I get to that area for a project or anything ill 100 percent go to that store. Soudsn amazing
What a great movie store, it seems to have a lot of things from Hollywood video rental places. Between the signage and all the VHS is specially the squeeze VHS cover😍
I remember buying a out of print "double dragon" back in '07 at amoeba for $30 and two years ago it was released on bluray for $7
Glad to see there are still some awesome video stores out there. Horror selection is amazing.
I agree
*I like how you almost grabbed the "AIDS: Can I get it" VHS 😂😂😂*
I wish that I could visit the store, but I live all the way in Ohio.
In my hometown, there was a mom and pop video store, and me and my family used to go there together all the time!
I was born in 1990, and I really love and miss movie and video stores!
It is extremely sad and upsetting that streaming movies has taken place of actually going into a physical store and actually purchasing the movie or movies that you want!
Finally, rest in peace movie and video stores, especially mom and pop stores and Family Video!
I love these types of vids, my absolute favorite when u upload these discussing rare uncommon obscure movies and going through them 1 by one. I appreciate the upload! 🙌✨💯
Hey duder! Just re discovered your channel again and I just saw this video! This is my hometown Taylor, Texas! I grew up with the Video Station and my childhood home is right down the street! I remember spending hours in there as a kid and even as a teen looking up and down all the aisles and at all the crazy things for sell. At one point they had a slot machine and a home sauna for sale (which I'm pretty sure I saw in this video lol). I spent so much time in the horror section as a kid terrified and I made it a goal to find every horror movie that I remember seeing there and watch it as an adult. Now, over 20 years later, being a horror movie enthusiast (especially from the 70s and 80s) I still recall movies such as Gormet Zombie Chef from Hell which they had a big box VHS version of. I havent been back in there in some years but it looks almost exactly as I remember it. Such a nice family that owns it as well (even if they charge hoarder prices lol). I'm glad to see its still open and I'm glad you got to see it! If anyone could appreciate it, its you! Thanks for making this video! Took me for a trip down memory lane. Definitely making a trip back soon.
Coolduder i havent seen you in about 10 years but that forearm is shredded bro. Incredible transformation. Very cool to see
Coolduder is a legend! 😎
Thanks so much Victoria :)
@@coolduder welcome 😊😊
This brings back such good memories of renting in the video stores! What a cool place
I wish I could find a place like this
I know it was such a cool find
OMG! Some of those horror VHS are worth some money.
I know they had some really rare tapes
Physical media is still loved but its become a niche market if I'm using the right vocabulary? Time to start looking for Vinyl Shawn :)
What a place!! - awesome vid 👍👍👍 I miss Comicon 😭😭😭
Love this video. There is no kool places like this in Australia. Wish there was.
I know really was such a cool place.
I like the guy in background at 8:22 really adds to the experience
That was the director of Butchers Bluff saying that
@@mikeyfishhorror3635 that’s super cool man looks really good I gotta check that out
Totally
It’s like you turned into a kid again! Looks like fun!
Totally lol

Watching The Leprechaun's Game 2020 Movie and just saw you it surprise me 😆

The coolest store ive been in a long time for sure
Great video Shawn! 😊
Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out
19:57 that movie hick is probably a favorite of mine. hard to come by on DVD anymore. need to find a copy someday
This is like a place I love when I was a kid in 80s geez
Great video! Watch these video all the time. Watch these OOP dvd and Blu-ray more than your other videos
This is the type of dude to get really excited and bump into a shelf knocking everything in the store over...
Check out Kenneth Ramone. He has a Dollar Tree video and is so happy when he finds a movie you’re in.
VHS and VCRs are nostalgic. I wish they hadn't stopped making those.
I have to admit I am glad they did blu ray quality is just so much nicer
@@glyn420 In terms of quality, I definitely agree. I have a ton of blurays, Dvds and 4ks myself. I also still kept all my VHS tapes. I would like to be able to play those again. The vcr I had unfortunately became defunct so I'm not sure where to buy a good vcr player.
I totally agree
I should definitely go to Video Station in Maryland to look for something that is out of print from circa 2004 - Secret Central: Have You Heard? (DVD) - Paramount Home Video/Hasbro
Life cereal is my favorite cereal.
Wish you had told me! Video Station is one of my favorite places ever
Was a really out of the blue random spot before I went back to the airport but was an awesome spot
@@Nesruler22 only if you’ll be there 😜
Spotted a few VHS tapes from the M.A.S.K. cartoon, I have never seen those anywhere else.
This looks like HEAVEN to me 😭🎬💘
I went here this morning and I was amazed by the amount of vhs and dvds in the store, but I was disappointed went the owner said most items are for rent only. Not a lot you can buy.
My birthday was yesterday could i get a late birthday shout out coolduder
Happy Birthday, Kevin. 🎁🎂🎈
I hope you had an awesome birthday
I once had a sealed copy of "Home Alone 2" on VHS, for about a few hours. Until I got back home, and my little sister decided to open it. I was really mad at her.
Good video and cool vhs tapes
This isn't a store... it's a _time machine_
I know I really went back in time
Just went to maps and inserted that address of this place and that place is huuge inside going by the pics. Definitely could be my happy place if I lived near there lol.
I know the place was giant it was like the size of 2 blockbusters in one.
Man, I can’t believe you weren’t pushing a shopping cart around in there filling it up. That’s insane!
The owner of the shop asked everyone that came in if they saw your video. I told him I saw a TikTok from earlier this week. Cool place, but I wish I could’ve bought some on the rare vhs tape.
That place looks amazing. I’d love to visit
I agree it was so cool.
For collectors that store is like a kid in a candy store
Really cool place. I would have been tempted to pick up one of those new old stock VHS tapes for the hell of it.
Vhs horror section will give me chills and Exciting 💀🍿📼
Same here
Some of those horror vhs are worth some money. The Pit vhs sells for $40-$45 alone.
Ya I thought alot of those ones were really rare
That’s a cool looking place wish we had spots like this here in Canada where I live
Ya it really was such an amazing store for sure
Home Alone 2... hundred copies. Looks like you walked back into 2001-02
More like 1991
See the Metal shelving they are all on, They are made by a Company called RED. They are long gone, so just the shelves alone are worth a Fortune. Brilliant could spend what's let of my life In there, Heaven. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what a cool shop !!
Thanks for the video.
There's rare pieces here, that you're fucking up by poorly handling them.
Thanks for showing us a lot of great oop Dvds, and VHSs.
No problem thanks so taking the time to check it out
Shawn C Phillips 🎥
Thanks so much for watching
I got Gojira - Fortitude cd today in the mail from Amazon.
Such a cool store! I love 80s horror, especially 80s slashers. You should do a video on some of your favorite 80s slashers. Do you sell any of your movies?
I've been wanting to buy The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the movie on DVD. Where can I find that one?
Check Amazon
@@WesleyWes304 I've checked it a while ago and it was out of stock.
That pot appears to be a turkey fryer. Cool store. "Shop small" friends.
Cool ya was wondering what it was
What an amazing place, but how can a store like this survive in a time like this, didn't see any customers. Do you ever talk to the staff in stores like these? I really would like to know how they do this and where they get there producs friom
The unopened videos from 30 years ago are unreal
Lucky I bet they have all old titles very old stuff
Lots of awesome tapes for sure
@@coolduder yea pretty cool place i just saw alot new pokemon vhs tapes brand new

Amazing store. Great video.
any stores such at this in the northeast US 🇺🇸? Beautiful video
I saw a DVD copy of summer camp nightmare on Walmart's website.
Have you ever been to this movie and video store located in Seattle, Washington, called Scarecrow Video? It is still in business, and it is doing quite well!
Even though I live all the way in Ohio, I found out about Scarecrow video through RUclips.
Does this store have a website?
Did they have Funky Fables anywhere I loved those!
Wow. Hoarder rental store.
Amazing spot for sure
Hello, I think you should upgrade to a 60-frame camera. Now it’s 30-frame. When you pick up items and shake the lens, I feel dizzy on the monitor. I hope to adopt it. If you use a 4K camera, it’s even better.I come from mainland china
Very interesting. Nice video.
Thanks so much
Awesome store :D i would spend hours there for sure :D
I totally could have as well
You should get alot of things there to add to your collection
Sir I am looking for 4k/blue ray disc of the movie Mackenna's gold, which is not available in India now,any help?

Thanks really such a great store
Has your state started doing conventions ?? It’s been a while since we seen a CON video .
Oh my gosh i would love to go there
Home alone2 how awesome is that
I love that old school pre everyone has online access marketing! "Save up to $100 on AA". Im sure when you presented that to AA when you bought your ticket, they were like, "you get a free bad of stale nuts".
cool new video as always Shawn
Thanks again for always checking it out
