The Marie Lou minezer is the best highlighter ever. The only one that's not glittery at all, perfect glossy sheen, long lasting and blinding, yet can still look natural and it's light enough for very pale skin too

I love this! I would like to see blushes and face palettes... even puppies. I'm not all that interested in bronzer, foundation and concealer. Brow products, liners and mascaras could be good though.

Lol I bought it years ago and used to consider it HG but I never reach for it and I actually I no longer like it's performance or texture. I think there are so many better formulas!
5 Years? 😭😭😭 I have 9 highlighters. I'll never finish them, and I'm looking at Becca's champagne pop highlighter! I also use cream or liquid to layer with the powdered ones too. So I hope it runs out within 3 years.
The Balm Mary Lumnizier was the first highlighter that I WANTED but was too broke to get it. My first was actually Ofra Rodeo Drive because I got it in my first Boxycharm LOL I still want all THE BALM highlighters but I am still too broke lol

FYI with a bit of watching & waiting it’s actually pretty easy to get anything from TheBalm at 40-50% off. They have a 50% off sale on their site at least twice a year, sometimes more, & every 3-4 months TheBalm is on Hautelook - Nordstrom’s flash sale site - with usually all but the newer releases on sale for 40-60% off. Additionally if you do any shopping at a Kohls they’re carried there & while “prestige cosmetics brands” are often excluded from storewide sales there are often great deals when certain items are getting discontinued, on holiday sets, etc, & you can always use Kohl’s Cash to purchase anything. All of which is to say that unless someone is in a big rush to get their hands on a new release there is no reason to buy anything from TheBalm at full price. I have quite a few of their products - they were one of my top fave/ go to brands for a period of time - and I literally did not purchase ANYTHING at less than 40% off. There are likely many being sold on resale sites as well, including some new, though given the great deals available elsewhere I’m not sure that route would necessarily get you a better deal.
But...if you truly do still want to get your hands on Mary Lou you should be able to do so for no more than what you’d pay for many things at the drug store or a few incidental expenses here & there. And if you still get Boxycharm you can definitely get it for less than one box & could even take a break for a month & get Mary Lou instead; if you did that you’d actually be saving money🤷🏻♀️.
Anyhoo...not trying to convince you to make a purchase you truly shouldn’t or don’t want to make - for whatever reason - but just wanted to give you the info in case you think it’s far more out of reach than it truly is.🔆

Mary Lou Manizer was one of my first highlights but I never reach for it. I find it sits weird on the skin imo so I've moved on to others and better formulas. Becca Moonstone is a favorite as is Fenty Lightning Dust!
I had mary lou in a palette and I did not like it at all, it felt and looked kinda dry but maybe the palette version was pressed too hard. Anyways I also liked the becca formula way more and I have my drugstore favourites that I love.
I just got the MegaGlo loose highlighter from Wet n Wild and I love it.. like.. more than my Ofra one 😯

I agree about Prismatic Amethyst having a different formula than other Becca highlighters. Also, strangely enough I've never even tried The Balm! Uhhhhh I need the Pixi highlight, its gorgeous!

Agreed! Flexitarian is good too. I also like Thimble (the perfect gold for fair skin) and Showtime (the most beautiful pink flip for spring. Paired with the boxycharm note blush in desert rose and it's the best spring cheek combo).
My first highlighter was Becca Champagne Pop pressed! And I still have it and use it regularly!

I have bought the WnW winter falls in la highlighter because of you and I hit pan in it! Such a beautiful highlighter to wear if I am using blues/greens/or purples on the eyes! Its also an amazing eyeshadow to make it more versatile.

I have two highlighters.. an elf baked highlighter and the aurora glow kit. I use the kit for streams when I want a fun highlighter color on, and elf every day of the year lol.
The first highlighter I ever USED was your favorite! One of my church choir friends had it when we were doing our musical and I asked to borrow it once and it was truly stunning! It says something about the formula, that it is still very comparable to all of the new products, it must’ve been out of this world when it first released! Unfortunately I really love my two highlighters from wet n wild, blossom glow & the cream stick one. I’ve hit pan on the mega glow one and I am almost done with the cream one 😳I use them even when I am wearing no makeup. I have the Fenty beauty one that I love, but I have also realized that it does fade slightly too, but it is still pigmented and beautiful, has a very nice look. And I have Gratitude from the Emily Edit needs, I love it so much 💗and that’s it lol I loved your video very fun but also really informative
I dropped my Ofra pillow talk behind the toilet and shattered it. I thought about scraping it together and repressing but germs. I loved it so much and as soon as Ulta sends out a 20% off coupon I'm going to buy it again.
MakeMeMakeup 1980 so sad, but good call re: not repressing if it hit the floor. That’s one of my top faves too so I can definitely empathize! FYI, I’m pretty sure they now have a mini version so that might be worth considering as well, though I’m not sure if it’s at ULTA so that may counteract any savings. And it seems like it’s been an especially long while without a 20% coupon so hopefully they’ll be one fairly soon...likely after theirv21 days & sometime around the next Sephora sale; I’ve been waiting too as I have 2000pts saved & they’re worth an additional$30+ when the redemption is stacked with a coupon.
In the meantime though have you tried Wet n Wild Blossom Glow? Or their “new” loose light pink one? (Forgetting the name as it was originally one thing as LE & was then recently rereleased as something else). Both of those are other light pink favorites of mine.
Ofra always has a 30% or 35% off discount coupon. Lmao I reuse the same coded too.

Great video. I know I’m in the minority that highlighters aren’t my product that I love. I only own 3 and I’d like to get that down to 2 (I’m panning one and am about 2 weeks from that goal...). I like more natural highlighters. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being very natural and 10 being able to be seen from space, I like a 2-3. But I enjoy watching people talk about what they enjoy and I can see how much you enjoy highlighters and enjoyed watching you rank yours.
Yep...Mary Lou...first love😊...i recently went back to it and after trying several others i was reminded how pretty it is and applies. I was so close to trying ofra with the sale but talked myself out of it due to the duochrome shade

I’d encourage you to try Tarte twinkle and twinkle 2 highlighter palettes. Also I would say Ofra is my holy grail. The 2 colors that I like best are glazed donut (Nikki tutorials collab) and rodeo drive. All star is another multicolor pan that features pillow talk/blissful and star island/rodeo drive (paired by undertone) they can be even prettier swirled together!
More subtle for an overall setting powder with a subtle glisten is Beauty Pie’s one powder wonder(OPW)! It doesn’t accentuate texture or fine lines but really makes the skin glow from within! I also still love Becca in the poured cream version of champagne pop. I use it under a powder highlight for longer wear or alone set with OPW. I also love the on the glow pallette from OFRA. It includes bronzers 2 straight highlighter pans in blissful and rodeo drive as well as Beverly Hills. It has the California triangle (pink translucent blush paired with a matte and luminous bronzer) now I see Ofra as an intense highlight but for me it can be used lightly for a more subtle look. It doesn’t accentuate my skin texture and can be blended in to the skin. The Beverly Hills pallet has a white a light gold and 2 pinky shades as well as a more bronze color.it can be used for eyeshadow too. As a matter of fact all I need is the Ofra on the glow palette and I don’t need anything else. I do mix Ofras peach matte blush with the translucent pink blush in the California triangle bronzer pan, to create unique peachy pink shades custom to my needs. I’m in love with this in the glow pallette! I’m so sure it will last me a longtime but I looking forward to using it every day until then.

This would be hard for me, I have a definite favorite everyday highlighter (Natasha Denona All Over Glow powder), but I don't dislike any of my others, it just depends on what kind of look I'm going for! That said I have Becca Opal too and it's a bit too dark for me as well, I wish I'd gotten a different color.

My first hightlighter was Wet n Wild Precious Petals and I loveeee it so much! I bought it 2 years ago and I already hit pan. The rest of hightlighters I own are Bissu in number 1 and Colourpop On the Cusp.
Mary Luminizer was definitely my first Highlighter. My daughter took it from me but I loved it!
That Persona highlighter will be mine! Lol. I just got my first Becca I Lilac Geode. Sooo pretty!

I have weird taste in highlighter. I now love ones that are glowing but not blinding. They are not subtle but they aren’t over the top highlighters. I love Colourpop Super shock highlighter in Lunch money because it is what I love in highlighters.

I have similar skin tone as you and the Pérsona Caliglow in Laguna is my perfect shade and is very natural which I think you will like. I bought Zuma and have yet to use it but hopefully it won’t be too dark for me👏🏻

You have to try the smashbox highlighter spotlight trio by casey holmes!! the left shade and middle shade are my TOP FAVORITE highlights. the right shade is a bit glittery but it is a MUST HAVE!!!!

My first highlighter was a trio from City Color, and I loved the lightest shade so much, I almost completely finished it! That was before I became a highlighter-buying fiend...

My very first highlighter was a "luminizer" from Bare Minerals that came in a set. This was before highlighters were a thing. I wasn't even sure what I was supposed to do with it or how to use it; I had to go into a BM boutique to ask. I still have it (it's a huge pan, and I don't really use highlighters), but I've since obtained a few more highlighters and find that the BM Luminizer is not great for my skin (I have pores) and there are other highlighters that sit better on my skin, but I still love it as an eyeshadow.

Yes marylou was one of my first highlighter lol, like 5yrs or so ago.
Also PIXI is a natural based ingredient company that was founded by 3 sisters and now one of them (Petra) is taking care of it I’m not sure if the sisters left. They aren’t really big too. We brought it (my family company) to my country years back but it didn’t do well because Mac was everything back then! And Mac store was kinda near it at the mall so... :/ lol, they closed it unfortunately. Their products back then was really new and doesn’t pack a punch. My mom was responsible specifically for that shop and met the owners, she said when she wears pixi, her makeup/skin actually looks even better then when she first put it on. We had the full line + skincare and their “teenager ish, line that was called “POP”. My mom had to fight to keep it open and brought so many customers and believed in them, they actually used to hit the budget and had some regular customers that come from other countries and buy a ton! But unfortunately the mass goes behind the hype, and the hype was about Mac. :/
