From what I understand, generally property ranges from 50% - 75% of what the equivalent would cost in the US (depends on where in the US of course). Be sure to check www.insidepanamarealestate.com for an idea of what pricing is like for the different size properties. I find renting costs to be consistent with the property acquisition as well. I remember seeing this 5 bedroom, 4 bath spread available for $1500 here in Boquete 😳
Nice drone footage - we'd love some tours of the actual rentals and properties available for purchase, along with prices. Hoping for more adventures too!
I love my country! Unfortunately, the more recent interest in Panama has priced us who are in other countries out. It has gotten extremely expensive so for me I have to look elsewhere. I truly miss the Panama of yesterday (35+years ago). It was such a great place to be. Not so overly commercialized. They also had more Caribbean restaurants there back then. It has lost a lot of it’s culture.
If Panama is this incredible now and you're saying it's not great, I can't imagine how awesome it was back then! I will definitely continue to enjoy it as it is now before it takes a turn for worse though...
OMG!!! Rich!!! If it wasn't for the lushness I would thought that it was somewhere in Southern Cali. It's been years since I have visited Boquete. The architecture has really changed in recent years. Spectacular!!!😃
I’d love to see some regular local neighborhoods and homes. The expat homes and communities are nice, but I’m moving there in hopes of assimilating into the Panamanian culture.
Hello Richard nice video I would like to see more rental properties I plan on renting 1st before buying. Boquete is my place of interest, how about showing the shopping area, how far is the beach? Also what other towns are in the vicinity of Boquete? Planning end of year trip..Thanks
great video of the area....the best I've seen...really helped me get my girlfriend over the hump....when she saw so many beautiful homes...she changed her attitude 100% and is ready to go. Thanks
Beautiful lush of the greenery in mountain ⛰ views and palacious nice looking Mediterranean houses 🏘️; lovely. I really love your channel ❤, it shows the beauty and the quality of life in Panama 🇵🇦😍. I am looking at emigrating from South Africa 🇿🇦. Panama 🇵🇦 is one of the places on my mind. Thank you for the info 😊. Keep well and stay safe 🙏
Great video, but at ground level you get to see the structural flaws and cracked walls. I toured Boquete last week and would classify every home I saw as a "fixer upper". Not disparaging Panama, as I actually love it here, but make sure you buy a house you've seen from the ground, not the air. One thing I love about house hunting in Panama is that the owners don't really get them ready for sale, unlike in America where you spend $10,000 to hide $20,000 of flaws so you can make the sale. In Panama you can see exactly what you are getting and then decide if you can live with any issues, or negotiate a better price.
Great flyover footage and fantastic imagery of the local topography! As for property details, pricing & specs are huge factors of key interest to most consumers --- especially those of us planning to retire/relocate there. Unfortunately, little/no additional information on either factor available from IPRE's site either.
Thanks for the feedback! There are quite a number of properties listed on the website with information on each. If you need more/additional info, send me an email 🙏🏽
After reading the comments, can you please, show NON expats areas, with homes 150,000 or less, Bouquet is Beautiful, but looks like only for The rich, thank you😀
One of the many problems no one addresses is the Panamanian currency. Although Panama has its own currency (the Balboa), however, Panama also uses the U.S. dollar. The Balboa to U.S. dollar exchange rate is 1-to-1, which doesn't make since when it comes to GDP. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Panama was worth 52.94 billion US dollars in 2020. Compare that to the U.S. GDP in 2020 at $20.93 trillion. So how did the 1-to-1 exchange rate balance off? Someone with subject matter expertise in economy explain this...I am not convinced that Panama is the best or most beneficial place to retire. Healthcare and medical services outside of Panama City is horrible. DO NOT expect hospitals outside of Panama City to have the same quality. Start asking what expats do not like about Panama...
Thanks for your reply and insight! The experiences vary from expat to expat, but the general consensus is that people are very happy to retire here. Once expectations are managed of course. It really depends on what you're looking for.Panama City and David have great health facilities.
Thanks for the feedback. Coincidentally, 2 of those properties are owned by Panamanians. This video was for those of the world who underestimate the potential for more developed properties here in Panama, as the general consensus is that it is still pretty backward.
The houses at 2:50 are more or less standart "casa de barriada" (suburb house) of the middle class Panamanians ...not the place but the form of the house
Rich, we are leaving Texas this week and heading to Mexico.... eventually we will make it to your neighborhood and probably rent for a month or two. You will be my "Hookup Guy"!!! I hope. We are planning to max out our visas in each country so it will be a bit. Thank you, @trekkingthruretirement
Lovely but how much does property go for? What is rent like as well?
Would love too know
There's a link to the sponsor, Inside Panama Realty, for all those details!

Nice, but looks like these houses are for those well off and not your everyday paycheck or pension person.

All for rich people exclusively, oh well, nice drone footage I guess. None of these properties are available to actual Panamanian people
Thanks for the feedback. Coincidentally, 2 of those properties are owned by Panamanians.
