Speaking as a professional editor & colourist of 30 years, now producing and making films, I feel every part of your challenge. A genuinely honest portrayal of the pains and pleasures, especially with such a tight turnaround. (I'm sure that you had checked the availability of the cast and crew in advance, but nonetheless...)
The attention to detail - "it won't matter"... No, actually, yes it will ! Exactly my experience, sectioning things out, adjusting every part of every shot. Often to the great pain of production managers.
Watching your final cut, my only thought is that you could have indulged the final product a bit more, but in all, amazing work.
Lots of thought and effort expertly showcased to learn and appreciate from.
