❤thank you for sharing this great tutorial! I was struggling a little bit casting on… But switching to the crochet hook has made this incredibly easy… Thank you thank you thank you! I love your clear and precise demonstration 😊 I'm casting on now! ❤
An absolutely wonderful tutorial 👏. Thank you so much for making everything so clear & precise 🤗. Also when joining in the round your management of the extra stitch is remarkable, as like you said it makes the joining in the round, completely invisible. You certainly get 5⭐️s from me!!! Thank you for taking the time to make this very helpful tutorial. Cheers 😍👏🤗💕❤️
I use Portuguese method of knitting because I have painful hands, and now I find it possible to cast on for rib using my hooked needle! Not only that, but it seems another Portuguese method knitter has also spotted that! It's definitely catching on. After a couple of swatches I've now got the rhythm of this cast on, and I really like it. So big thanks.
I’m Portuguese and I also use the Portuguese style and I cast on differently from everyone. But that cast on is amazing 🤩. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. ❤❤❤❤
Really clear, deliberate tutorial. I appreciate your foregrounding some of the features of this CO, and pointing out the visual cues that help one 'read' one's knitting as one casts on. You are a great teacher -- just the right amount of information, no interjections off topic, and focused. Love this cast on, and you made learning it quick and memorable.
In this video, I used the same needle size as for my ribbing, where I usually use .5 mm smaller needle than for the rest of the sweater. For this particular vest, I used size US 4 (3.5 mm) for the cast on and ribbing and US 6 (4.0 mm) for the body, but of course you should use whatever needle sizes work best for your yarn and pattern! Hope this helps! ☺️
