Nice video, I've got the lgcx and the browser is a bit different to this one, and I've got a bit of an issue with it, maybe you can help. Basically I don't know how to open links from the page you are currently viewing in a new tab. On the c7 you just dragged the link to the top of the screen, this would open the link in a new tab and keep the current page in the existing tab. This doesn't work on the CX, any ideas how?

I have gone into the browser a number of times in the past and it's identical to the one shown in the video. But as of yesterday when I click web browser I get a completely new browser with hardly any options.
Can I ask you to check if yours has updated also

The red remote cursor is not available when i go to the web browser, and the search window is not bringing up the on-screen keyboard.
LG never upgrades the web browser on TV's. So they will become unusable in time.

Hi anytime I try to search something in the search box on the home screen or even in the lg content store it always says temporary problem with network error 6003 try again but the wifi works just fine for youtube search engines and even the web browser search engine. If some help to fix this were to come my way I'd really appreciate it

How does the cursor move? Looks like waving around the remote moves the cursor somehow. I the arrows work to move the cursor, but not in a nice way.

I managed to change the search engine to Duck Duck Go, but having trouble changing the shitty default Google Browser with something a little more private like Firefox or Brave. Don’t forgot you can also log into your modem router, go the the ‘firewall’ settings and then block URL’s directly so that your smart tv can’t spy on you. ☺️

Tap three dots on upper right menu, choose add to bookmarks, then it will ask itself if you want to add it to your home screen say yes

Would I be able to web search fmovies which is an unlicensed movie streaming site which I'm able to do on my PC and hook it up to the TV and watch? I'm trying to avoid having to hook up my computer if the TV is capable.

Fmovies works from lg Web browser. The only problem with free sites is the hoops you have to jump through via pop up ads before the video plays.

I have updated the web browser and I can’t use the new version how do I uninstall the new version and get my old one back
I did same thing and the new browser won’t play Dtv now videos. The only solution is to do a factory reset on your tv and start from scratch. It will restart as brand new with the original browser. The problem is the old browser will stop being supported by lg hence won’t work especially on some video from websites. The older browser worked for me for about a month then stopped playing videos from that website. The old browser had been perfect for watching tv for me. Now I use airplay from my iPad or iPhone to watch tv on the lg big screen and it works perfectly.

Just saw your post. I believe the problem could be with your model. I'm using a Samsung 2014 model myself. Right now it's hopeless to open most of the webpages. What is happening is that the browser is still using old codecs to open webpages with the latest specs. You see, unlike computer based browsers, Smart TV ones are unupgradable. You are stuck with the one which comes with the TV you buy. That's why I'm thinking of buying a 2020 Smart TV with the latest browser configurations. I advise you to do the same!

no, it doesn't support file downloads. it also doesn't support installing apk files.
