Dude your videos are so essential to the community. I keep up with news on X... but these just make it so much more digestible. My weekly crash course for all Kaspa updates. Don't ever stop posting videos
I also researched node hardware only a few days ago, but with view to uptime, and potentially wanting to run a full node, I have been looking at RAID capable motherboards. Reading up on getting a full node going, you do not want to lose all that data in case of an SSD self-deleting... so I want a RAID 1, i.e. mirror the drive, and if it blows up, you just carry on where you left off, instead of spending the next weekend doing it from scratch. Also, given the non-stop read/writes, I would go for a 2TB SSD, because of the wear-leveling mechanism. Since the disk constantly writes to fresh empty blocks, or otherwise only overwrites used block once to extend the SSD lifecycle, the larger your SSD, the less soon it wears out, so double the size, potentially double the uptime until it blows up... I did not check the specs for that mini PC, but would be surprised if it supports RAID 1 - but am happy to stand corrected, it you can have a look at the owner's manual. I would also recommend spending another 150 bucks or so on an APC UPS and plug your switch, router and node in there, in case you have a power loss, it is much less painful to get going again.
A Kaspa node only needs 20GB of data now to sync. When 10BPS comes in you will still only need about 150-200GB of storage. You don't need to download the entire history to sync up to the network.
Will the crescendo event lead to new tokens being received in addition to the old kaspa tokens? Like BTC and BTH or ETC and Ethereum classic? What is going to happen?
Hi, I want to run a 10 bps node after crescendo hardfork, not minging, just wannna contribute to kaspa network, what I need to run? Just a wallet or run a mini PC?
My thinking is that with the fork coming, Exchanges won't bother joining before that happens. Why would they start listing now if there's more work to essentially redo once the fork happens. This is coming from someone with ZERO coding/development knowledge and thus just a dummy guessing that the exchange listing pump will come after the fork. Thoughts?
The aim is summer time this year. Also note that anyone can develop L2 solutions on Kaspa so be ready for third parties coming in and starting to test using Kaspa for making applications over time.
May i ask something?...how can the crescendo hardfork (10 BPS) will come in Q1 2025 when they just announced at 9th of January that they are gonna start a new testnet....testnet12 for the regular users/exchanges to test it.... if the last testnet lasted 1 year + how long will this testnet last?.... It's weird they said after Rust implementation (which was 1.5 years ago) the updates will come quick...... and here we are about to miss this bullrun as an ecosystem cause we have been stale for this past year = which reflects the price stalemate... And don't get me started about the Binance listing... which in my opinion is fugazi it ain't coming if it would ... it would have happened ages ago...
Where do you get that information from regarding TN12? There is no news on Twitter on 9 January, also not before or after that, and there is nothing when googling testnet 12. The hardfork will happen as announced for a long time, that is how it will happen. Binance has listed KAS futures, recently started their own KAS mining pool, and the liasaon for KAS Exchange listings said that Binance is ready to list, and it was also said they are waiting for the hardfork, though I did not personally see that as a news item. So believe whatever you want, I do not think you have the best information to go on, if you are in doubt about these things.
Guys pls someone explain to me.. During this hard fork, where should I keep my kaspa? I'm a bit afraid it'd be like bitcoin and bitcoin cash. When they've spelt. Im scared to have my kaspa stuck at the wrong, or old version.
As we get closer to the actual hard fork I can give more for sure details but at the current moment all wallet providers should be ready to maket this upgrade when it happens so you won't have to worry about being stuck on the old version. The good thing is as long as you have your seed phrase. In the new version your coins will still be there if you import on a wallet that supports it.
I still have no idea what "miss the bull run means" What constitues as not missing it. Kaspa is gonna continuing doing what its doing with or without bull run as it has its whole existance.
@@KaspaSilver sorry but Kaspa will never have a second bearmarket like the previous one. During the previous bearmarket, Kaspa got attention/hype because it was a fresh new coin full of promises and goals and it was a small cap coin, that’s why it pumped a lot during bearmarket. Now Kaspa is a mid cap, it just follows the whole market when BTC dumps, $KAS dumps as well and it will be the same for the next bearmarket, it will dump hard like all other coins. That’s why timing is crucial for this bullrun and devs taking too much time to deliver their promises maybe will make investors having a sad bullrun holding $KAS.
There are actually no transaction history for only about 2 months of the start of the network. You can research this more in my playlist section of my channel. This is very old fud though and is a nothing burger.
We all know Creshendo or whatever updates they do will not help the PA of an open source fair launched tech stock. The exact thing that makes it great is the exact reason its a bad investment. Its so weird to see this channel & X who are in a way working on pushing Kas forward, almost oblivious of the competition & market they’re in. Crypto investments are supposed to make you fiat money bcz thats what we use for now in the real world. You will see that this cycle is an ETF Bitcoin based BlackRock sponsored bullcycle where big fiat will control who wins. Btc, Sol, Xrp, Ondo, Sui, etc… whoever blackrock or other billionaires decide, Kaspa doesn’t stand a chance.
No one says you have to stick around if you don't want to. I would just also note. Blackrock has shares in Marathon Mining Digital. This same company is mining Kaspa. Also note grayscale is considering a listing for Kaspa. To write it off is ignoring the clear signs that Kaspa is not being ignored. Instead big players are capitalizing on the fear.
Xrp, Sui, Sol are traps. I hope you get out while you’re ahead. They will leave you holding the empty bag. I got out of ADA last cycle at the top with sheer luck. Read the book “the psychology of money” and you will understand. You have to have some humility and understand that you know nothing. Its your money, do with it as you please. We will never know the tops of the market but I can assure you Kaspa will be much more forgiving than any other crypto out there
@@KaspaSilver BlackRock owns 80% of all US housing rentals, does that mean that your apartment in Michigan will go up? Come on… be real. I am happy you find them valuable!
KS, you’re so awesome. Thank you for the well informed updates and showing us how to participate in this revolution.
Be patient in following the progress of development. I am confident with Kaspa and a solid team to continue to support the development of Kaspa.
It’s nice to see kas updates! Thx
Thank you for supporting!
Thank you KS for your level headed explanation to come down inpatient hands. I appreciate that!!

No, Tangem will take care of updating the node they are using.

Definitely not
Have I something to do when I hold my all KAS on hotwallet KASPA WALLET ???
Thanks
Which hot wallet???
Look into cold storage. Tangem, ledger, or OneKey are top options.

Well it wouldn’t be any work to redo. It will be a simple update to their existing node. They could wait till after but no big reason to do so.

Have I something to do before the Hardforg is there ???

Q stands for question.
So ?
You do not have to do anything if you are simply holding Kaspa.
will the Kaspa coin change after it folks @ 10 bps?
Which is better and safer bro? Tangem with seedphrase or Tangem without seedphrase?
Without. If you really want a seed phrase get a cold stroage wallet that has a actual device with its own screen.

Another idiot wasting his keystroke lol
Weird... if Crescendo will be a dial, why limit it to 10 BPS? Why not just allow the configuration to 100 BPS and dial it up as needed?
We have not done any testing beyond 10 yet.
If it took one year for testing 10BPS, it will take probably 10 years for testing 100BPS. 🤷🏻
