영동 황간에서 북방으로 1.9km 지점에 우뚝 솟아 있는 월류봉 .밑 일대의 산수를 한천팔경 .팔경은 제1경인 월류봉을 비롯하여 사군봉·산양벽·용연대·냉천정·화헌악·청학굴·법존암으로 이루어져 있는데 대부분 월류봉의 여러 모습을 지칭한 것. 절벽산 아래로 물 맑은 초강천 상류가 휘감아 흘러 수려한 풍광은 더없이 아름답다.달이 머물다 가는 봉우리 월류봉. 달밤의 정경이 아름다워서 작가들의 샷이 많다.우암 송시열이 한때 머물며 학문을 연구함. 잎이 피면 상춘객의 발길이 끊이지 않는다'.

The Eight Scenic Views include Wolryubong Peak, the first scenic view, Sagunbong Peak, Sanyangbyeok, Yongyeon-dae, Naengcheonjeong, Hwaheonak, Cheonghakgul, and Beopjonam, and most of them refer to the various aspects of Wolryubong Peak. The clear waters of the upper reaches of the Chogangcheon River wind beneath the cliff mountain, creating an exquisite scenery. Wolryubong Peak, the peak where the moon lingers and passes. Many writers take photos of it because the moonlit night scenery is so beautiful. Uam Song Si-yeol once stayed here to study. When the leaves bloom, visitors flock here in droves.
