Dude you are just wasting mana if all you do is cast the polychrome and not point the beam ability on it. Polychrome by itself only increase elemental vulnerability. When you get three beams to come out of the polychrome, you can do triple damage at the epicentre of the skill cast area which is very effective for draining boss HP and crowd control. Nice detail in the guide but very important misuse of a crucial skill.
Interesting skill combo. I tried beam when I was lvling my character, but found it to be a lackluster. Im actually wondering if using skill combo you described will yield better results, since you have to manually aim beam at the crystal, it takes time and might lower total dps. Needs testing
@@KoshMobile well aiming the beam doesn't take that much time as one may think. And the beam's damage is affected by the weapon you hold so if you use a really good weapon you can get a max dps of up to 100k. I think the mage class is unique in that you are not limited by just Mana regen. If you can grind the gear for life regen of up to 75% that increases your survival chance by a lot. And since beam auto aims anyway, use the polychrome and get close to the center and auto aim and it still works. You must also note the skills that don't require aim does LESS damage because it doesn't require skill. It's a tradeoff. You can also calculate the total elemental damage output you'll do if you combine beam with polychrome which about 250%. I can kill heroic bosses after freezing them for some time in about 30s or if like archwizard teleports a lot, 1-2 mins. My build focuses more on elemental skills and I only opted for passive skills for the other class skill tree. That way I can invest all my damage into elemental skill tree. After this change damage is really really good. You should test and create a new guide.

I deal 3M damage with the triple beam, max elementalist middle buffs, they trigger ice and fire explode passive
hanabi is already OP why give it buff when it is needed just to nerf his shield gain
