Dr. Robert Svoboda is the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. During and after his formal Ayurvedic training he was tutored in Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Tantra, and other forms of classical Indian lore by his mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda. He is the author of twelve books including Prakriti: Your Ayurvedic Constitution and the Aghora series, which discusses his experiences with his mentor during the years 1975 - 1983.

In my Muslim dominated locality in Malad (East) called Pathanwadi we saved many Hindus during 1992 Bombay riots while many Muslims died in Hindu area by the mob attacks, my grandpa had to lie to escape from Marathi Hindu mobs my grandpa was a bearded muslim but coincidentally his beard had quite resemblance to shivaji's beard and since his mother was an ex-hindu Marathi he was fluent in marathi so he spoke Marathi and pretended that he's a Hindu Marathi and this is how he escaped, mobs surrounded him asked him aye mohammadan he kai, my grandpa replied tuza aayicha.. No way Krishna and Jesus are similar, they are poles apart. Jesus tells " he is the only way" krishna teaches "many ways". Jesus believes in conversion while Hinduism don't have that concept. 🙏

There are lots of similarities between Jesus and Krishna. One of the most fascinating things is their childhood stories. The exclusivist claim of Jesus you are referring to is from the gospel of John which is considered as a theological reflection of the author by biblical scholarship. Why didn't Mark the first gospel made mention this important statement? Isn't that weird?

Thank you brother, I don't discriminate either. I have studied both the gospel (teachings of Jesus) and the bhagvad gita (teachings of Krishna), and I see holiness and beauty in both Krishna and Jesus. May God bless them both.

This conversation is a perfect example of intellectual subversion & digestion of civilization. Foreigners study our cultural philosophies, practices. Then they pick elements out of it and try to cosynchronise & correlate it with their own religion. But the prblm is when they say" all religions are same but ours( abrahamic religions) are better bcoz look at the countries which are abrahamic, look how progressive they are!!, how economically prosperous they are!!" But they don't mention the colonial baggage these nations like UK, France, Germany, Spain have. So no, I don't buy this. I generally do not comment on RUclips channels irrespective of whether the content is good or bad. However, today I had to make an exception. I used to look forward for certain deep conversations and opinions on variety of topics (Religion, Service, Lifestyle, etc) here on Ranveer Allahabadia’s channel. But this one was disappointing. I guess one is willing and can sell anything and everything as content as long as the viewing quotas are maintained. This episode reminded Me of someone trying to sell Gandhi as an Avatar of Lord Vishnu.

i grew up Christian but explored openminded ness. i still love and praise jesus but after a series of meditation and entering states where i have no physical body they led me to learn more about Hinduism. i feel a love for all that i cannot forget after one intense experience. Some may judge me but i feel i have experienced gods on both sides but in my experience they are not expressed as physical. they are visons ,feelings presences that usually overtake what i consider "me" in that place. Since this happened also i am also more lucid when sleeping.
The gateway process is what i used to awaken. studied by the CIA in the 80s look it up!

This resonates with me on like every level. Raised very Christian my whole life but started having lots of questions.. Maintaining my connection with Jesus Christ. Living love centered and I had a dream about the origins of Hinduism years ago, began learning more about it, and I vibe with so much of it. Mantras made my soul feel at home when I first heard them.

To me putting Jesus in the same place as Lord Krishna is like trying to keep everyone happy. Because the teachings of Lord Krishna varies vastly compared to Christianity.
Yes, Christianity and Vedic Sanatana Dharma share few similarities, but they are like the ice burg. The more you go down, the differences becomes bigger and bigger.
If Christianity is helping a person with elevating their spirituality, that’s great!
But to put Christianity and Vedic knowledge at same level in-terms of spiritual knowledge is great misjudgment and ignorance.
The level of understanding provided by Vedic shastras are far superior. (In quantity as well as quality)

Thats a shallow way of thinking. No one is putting Lord Jesus in the same place as Lord Krishna, What they were talking about is something diffrent. Religion is like a key that ulocks a persons door to differnet levels (spritually). All relegions even though they are differnt take people to the same path and destiny. Now Vedic is not a relegion so it cant even be comparened to Jesus or Lord Krishna are all entierly different.
Also please dont confuse teachings of Lord Krishna and the Vedics are very diffrent. Vedic books are different from Bhagavad Gita. Vedas are more like source books , it has no auther, its about the universe in and beyond came direcly from Lord Vishnu. Where as Bhagavad Gita is a recorded conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna, in which Lord Krishna explains the path to Moksha.
For you to understand superiority, quantity or quality you first need to understand it all.

1. Dr. Robert Svoboda in the video (7:10) explains how some people believe Christ and Krishna were "aamsa" of Rishi Maitreya. This is his reason as to how Christ and Krishna were same in terms of spiritually.
Now, in my knowledge so far, I have not heard a single mention of Jesus in any Vedic texts. Dr. Svoboda should provide the source for this (any kind) rather than just stating it. Dr. Svoboda gives other reasons as well, but my point is that he is trying to compare Christ to Krishna as equal.
And as a "Hindu" or Vedic Sanatan Dharma follower, that is unacceptable.
2. you made a point that vedic is not a religion. I am sorry but thats false understanding on your part.
"Religion" is a belief on a supernatural being such as God. And whole Vedas (4 original) are about different Gods and how to please them for a prosperity in life. Indra is the God mentioned most in the 4 Vedas. But Sanatana Dhrama contains many many other texts such as Shiv Purana, Vishnu Purana, Brahma Samhitas in which specific gods are mentioned. This means it is a religion because it contains a God form. But , yes, Sanatana Dharma is much much more than just religion. Is encompasses every aspect of life. There is even a sastras on how to prepare from a pregnancy.
3. You mentioned that Vedas have no author and yes Vedas are eternal and are from Lord Vishnu. But they do have author. It is put together for us by Veda Vyasa. Vedas exited before Vyasa, but it wasn't written down for mankind.
4. You mentioned that Vedas are different from Bhagawat Gita. You are correct. Bhagawat Gita is part of Mahabharata (Itihasas) and I think its also in Srimad Bhagawatam (Purana).
But you mentioned that the teachings on Vedas and Bhagawat Gita are not same.
Let me explain. Vedas are throughly explained in other sastras such as Upanisads, Itihasas, and Puranas. Bhagawat Gita is considered an Upanisad.
In Bhagawat Gita, Lord Krishna explain the Supreme reality of existence. This knowledge Lord Krishna is telling Arjuna is same from the Vedas.
5. You mentioned that Lord Krishna explains the path of Moksha to Arjuna. You are correct, but Bhagawat Gita is much much more than that. Lord Krishna explains the nature of the wolrd (materialistic), nature of aatma (spiritual), and how a person should live his life with in this two worlds. I am sorry sir but you have poor understanding of these texts.
[also side note. In christianity, souls are not eternal. God is going to get rid (permanently) of all the souls that did not follow the Bible. But in Sanatana Dharma no such thing like that is going to happen. Aatmas are eternal, they are not created nor destroyed. And Aatmas' goal is to spiritually elevated one-self and merge in to Krishna's thus being free from the bondage of samsara (cycle of rebirths). These are mentioned in Bhagawat Gita by Lord Krishna]

6. Now let me explain why I said that vedic sanatana dhrama provides more ways and better ways as for spiritual path.
Some consider "Bhakti" or "Devotion to God" to be the upmost form of being spiritual. This is prevalent in Christianity as well because thats what Christians do in churches.
But, in Sanatana Dharma there are different forms of Gods whom are associated with different personalities. i.e. Lord Shiva is a magnificent dancer. Bharat Nityam (Dance) are said to originate from him.
So this way, a person can be spiritual with art in the form of dance.
Another big thing is the Yogas. Yogas are not just for physical benefits. Lord Shiva himself gave us the knowledges of Yogas because through Yogas, a person is able to elevate their spirit.
Please do tell me of any text in Christianity which contain in-depth method and forms such as Yoga is provided by Jesus or God to Christians.
In Sanatana Dharma, there are various ways to meditate which can elevate one's spirit. (i.e. Japa, Tapa, Dhyana, Samadhi and etc.)
These are specific types of method from which one can benefit. I have not heard of anything of these sort in Christianity.
So, thus my reason for saying "more quantity and quality"
7. I completely agree with you that we must first understand it ourselves to comapre. And with my little understanding of Sanatana Dharma and Christianity, I conclude that they are not same.
I could be wrong and someone might prove me wrong, but as for now that is my stance.
I hope you do look into these different aspects of Sanatana Dharma and learn it yourself.

Also, it feels amazing and ironic that he knows Sanskrit concepts, it's meanings and pronounces them perfectly because half of the youth of India today especially our Hindu youth can't explain or even pronounce even 2 of the Sanskrit words or concepts as he did. If you want to preserve your Dharma (honestly we are no one to do it because Sanatan Dharma is the greatest of all and it is Sanatan that is protecting and preserving us) we, the young Sanatanis need to start learning and reading our Vedas and all the Sanskrit scriptures. This is exactly my understanding. Each religion / sect is trying to explain reality through enlightened people. They try to explain the reality in a way that the people of that time and region can understand. Here is why Hindus are blessed, they accept many enlightened beings and are open to the reality that there are many patha to reality and some are not ready to grasp reality. Each individual can only grasp reality to the level of their evolution. Yoga gives you a systematic way to evolve faster and get you closer to reality.
