Did the mattless cutting leave an uneven edge? It would be helpful if you would do some close-up shots on these. I'm considering a Cameo 4, but wonder about the edge made by the perforated cutting in that setting.
Hi Kimberley. The matless cutting leaves a little "tag" similar to a printed punch-out. To be honest, I haven't used the matless cutting as much as I thought I would, but it's still a neat feature.
LOL what makes me laugh (and they may have fixed it now) is matless, a 7 letter word, gets cut off but blade depth, a 10 letter word, 11 if you count the space, does not get cut off and fit in the same space - wonder if it were/is a typo in the software?
It does kinda make you wonder, doesn't it???

Hello Lisa, great video. I have just ordered my Silhouette Cameo 4 and now have to anxiously wait for it to arrive. I too am excited about the prospect of matless cutting (I have had a CM900 Scanncut for 6 months). I have tried to simulate matless cutting in the software without having any machine connected. The options you have are not there. I cannot choose the autoblade, only ratchet and ther are no 'Matleess' options. Do you know if these will appear once I have registered and connected the machine it to my computer? thanks Alan
Hello Alan! Somehow you're comment got lost in cyberspace and I'm just now seeing it many months later. My apologies! Were you able to cut without a mat on your new Cameo 4?
@@CaughtbyDesign hello Lisa. I had forgotten that I had written this. Yes I was and still am successful at matless cutting. I use this method to perf and cut envelopes out of A3 card. Much less hassle than with a mat for these big sheets. You have to think about the sequence though, perf first then cut, for instance.
