Michael is not Missing and Halleysville VA does not exist this film was made in Hot Springs VA, with the Cast was a crew from Lindsay's Roost Bar and Grill. This is a short film I made on a whim with the staff of a local restaurant back in 2014, (IT IS NOT REAL- NONE OF IT IS) Most of the abandon places I talk about are actually hunt clubs, it was part of my script. It was filmed in and around Hot Springs Virginia and the Homestead Resort. I have more videos of this town and surrounding area on my RUclips channel. I live near here and yes I knew there was a gas station.

Reminds me of years ago, we found ourselves on a little road that wasn't listed on road map. Getting low on gas, not a living soul. Finally get to a little village, looked like back in 1930's. Had no choice but to stay the night in the old 2 story hotel, high ceilings, pull chain lights, My husband and I did not sleep that night, got up early and left ,after getting directions to a hiway, that was numbered. Next night we stayed in, a place called, Big Stone Gap, West Va., after that we headed South to Ga. What an adventure!!
But that's impossible ! That whole place burned down to ground almost 80 years ago. Nothing was built there since.

I love that ya all put so much effort into this. Bet you had fun making it. I was born in Norfolk but grew up in Kansas. I hope to return to Virginia some day. It has always beckoned me. I guess its true that if you're born in the south no matter where you grow up ,the south is a part of you.

Low on gas was a good add. You added tension and then a sense of relief by eventually coming across an open gas station. Giving the audience a feeling of, "everything is going to be alright" makes the jump scare even more potent.

That was pretty good! I normally don't watch found footage films, but this one caught my eye, (actually, a friend recommended it) and I must say, I liked it! Short, sweet, chilling and to the point quick!

I wasn't buying the over the top exclamations of consistent astonishment because of some very normal events.... lol I love it though, I had to shake my head twice to make sure I really just saw that... well done, you led me in even though I was skeptical to start with.. 😆😆😆..

That was a long ride for a jump scare but got a jump and a chuckle out of me.
We go back to McDowell County for family reunions and events....it really takes you back in time. Beautiful and very hilly country.
Born & raised in the Mountain State 💙💛. Those are definitely WV back roads (everyday travel for me) & the bandit houses he keeps talking about. Are more than likely being lived in. Thank you for sharing

I have never seen it but I heard it one nite I was camping beside a Creek and I was woke up by rocks being rolled in the creek I don't know what it was but it ran on two feet up the mountain breaking trees scared the hell out of me.

Wow, abandoned because of no gas station.
1...always start with full tank. 2...always turn around at half tank. Carry extra if no known town.
3...Yes, hunting cabins all over in woods.
4...carry a map in case you don't get internet!
5...be prepared to spend night.

I would've turned around. At least he that way he knew for sure it was approximately 30 miles, instead of continuing on a road he knew nothing about.

I used to live in the hills of West Virginia... it can be terrifying... always take extra cans of gasoline before heading out like that... they find dead people all the time out there they go hiking or they go camping and they get lost are they run out of gas no food no water it can happen fast

This over all reminded me of the movie, "Alien ABDUCTION." Same type of road to nowhere, low on gas, deserted, dead animals, cattle especially, etc. I thought this was heading in that direction. However, the "Jump Scare" ending, I was not prepared for and didn't expect. It was well directed and a bit suspenseful!! Good job. I give this a ⭐⭐⭐⭐

agreed. . loved the premise, because that happens to everyone on those back roads. trying to take a quick shortcut. And then the wifi, / data gets disconnected and you dont get the , "REST" of the directions. and you have to guess.

‘thing’ which is 👍 for me. The only other one I’ve seen is from a creator called ‘Black Crag’ in the UK, it was excellent so if you enjoy these

I was feeling it until the end, that should have been the high point, the most traumatic and convincing part, all efforts should have led to that climatic ending, in which the viewers jump scared. Overall id give it a 6. A good jump scare ending would have made it an 8. I'll watch more in hopes you scare me better, keep up the hard work!

Oh yeah I reminds me of a time I was at the far end of a road going to a clients for a job as a caregiver it so happen I ended up at a dead end but seemed the road kept on going. I called the office and ask them were in the world are you sending me I was going the wrong way, but this road looked so weird no one around. I finally found the clients house. I will never forget how lonely that road looked it stopped right there by a abandoned house looked so eerie and dark.
