Thanks for posting...it's my home town, I haven't seen it since the 70s... it's changed a lot especially the harbor area and some of the main Street I still remember... hope you enjoyed your time there.😎🇳🇿
Hi Brad. This was one of my favorite adventures in New Zealand! Whangarei took me quite by surprise because there is so much to do there and it’s really beautiful. I’ve been back 3 times and now know 2 of the sculptors who have work on the hatea loop!
Hi Heather! I've never been to Whangarei, but I hear good things. I used to work with a girl whose family owned property in Whangarei and she used to speak fondly of it. I am frankly taken aback to learn that there is such a thing as a national Clock Museum but that is just my small mindedness. Hope you are enjoying youself!
Hi Michael! Yes Whangarei was a delightful surprise. Sadly I didn't record the first visit where I went and did two of the huge hikes which are beautiful. Ha on the clock museum! I am not sure why it's there, but it's small and cute, and something to do. Well, I'm in lockdown level 4 at present, so keeping safe, and drinking wine. Hope you're well too!
Hello! I love whangarei my hometown also when you can you should come back the hundertwasser has finished and opened so you can go inside now (The hundertwasser was the massive building under construction, if you haven’t though)
This is the town I have always considered my home town even after 50 years in Australia

I wondered when it would be finished! Last I saw it, it seemed near completion. Thanks for telling me. Love Whangarei!
Nice video
Thank you!
Jasinister has been an absolute disaster for NZ.
