Imagine if Nintendo, Rareware and Microsoft would do Diddy Kong Racing Deluxe for Nintendo Switch. With all characters Including Microsoft characters Banjo and Conker (like in N64)
I dunno about Conker, but seeing as how Nintendo and Microsoft are becoming buddy-buddy and allowing cross-play on Minecraft and Microsoft allowing some Xbox titles to be released on Switch (along with Banjo and Kazooie being in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), I think it would be a good idea.
Every time my family went down to our cabin in Lake Tahoe, I would curl up in my bed and play this game for hours. I recently found my DS, so hopefully I can find my game cartridge as well... This game was awesome, and I really hope we someday get a remake!
They really went all out with this port and it’s hardly ever acknowledged. I hope that some kind of remake or sequel can make it on the switch at some point.
I owned a DS and I loved DKR on the N64, and I literally just found out this port existed today. I would have have loved to play it in the DS days, but for whatever reason it seems like they didn't market it at all?

Goodness. I remember playing this when I was 9. I would play this all day everyday when I went with my family to Daytona Beach shores for summer vacation. I would play with other friends I had met there. The music on the maps is just awesome, especially the very first one you play. In a way it makes me sad, but I’m glad it’s something I can think and look back on for sure.
I am not a fan of racing games.i'm not really even a fan of the characters in this game but somehow...this still was a extremely rare exception. one that i truly enjoy and played from start to finish more than once. 3 vehicle types,several unlockable characters,a relaxing hub world that was a decent size.reverse tracks,time challenges and if all that wasn't enough it even had AI in mini game mode! to me this will always be among the best racing games ever made.
DKR64 was my childhood and i liked it so much better than Mario Kart. Yet I never played the DS version. The Railshooter seems to be way better than the coin collection.

I really liked the N64 version so I was really happy to have a portable version even with some cutbacks. The GBA had a lot of ports of SNES games so I had high hopes that the DS would do the same with a lot of N64 ports but unfortunately we only got this one and Mario 64 (at least the more relevant ones). Back then I dreamed about a portable Star Fox 64, fortunately it eventually came out with the 3DS.

Doctor Awesomeness what happened was that Microsoft took over Rare, and Nintendo lost the rights to the characters. Also, Conker turned into a big perv thanks to his Bad Fur Day Game and could no longer be considered as a kid friendly character. They also fricked up Taj’s voice.
Lol I played this an unhealthy amount of times as a kid. Ended up giving it to my nephew, he loved it and used to play it all the time too (not quite as much as I did though XD)
I remember playing this all the time when I was younger. I wasn't able to unlock the 2nd Wizpig race and I never knew why. I lost the game 10+ years ago... Guess that will remain a mystery.
