    Olá, gosto muito de orquídeas que, entram em dormência e, cirtopodium, catacetos, galeandras, capuz de freira e, muitas outras, seguem esse gênero. É lindo ver suas brotações .🇧🇷💐🤗🍀🇧🇷

    Enchanting indeed! I like those dainty flowers especially with the pleasant fragrance that you described, thanks for sharing. Have you seen them in wild?

      Thank you so much for watching! They’re definitely special to me. I have seen them growing wild in southern Florida near the Everglades. It’s quite the site to see!

    Hi guys!!! I know this is off topic & you may have addressed this, but for those of us growing indoors, what chemicals do you use for insecticides? I use reconstituted or theme, 😮I know that’s carcinogenic- so I do. Y best to apply outside and then bring back in. So what do yall use? TYIA

      For insecticide, you might want to try a biological control like NOFLY. Or you can do a root drench of Imidicloprid. Otherwise, it’s really recommended that growers spray insecticide outside just to be on the safe side.

    Great video! My punctatum x paniculatum is waking up quickly. What’s the lowest temperature that you feel safe exposing them to?

    • @IngramOrchidsandMore
      @IngramOrchidsandMore  5 месяцев назад

      It depends on how long the duration of the cold will be. If it's only a nighttime dip into the high 30s at night for a few hours, I don't worry. If it's going to be in the low 40s multiple nights with daytime temps not going above 60, then I'd say it should definitely be inside. They may tolerate pretty cold temps in the winter if dry, but keeping it a bit warmer should keep it happier in the long run. If your talking spring and summer no cold should be allowed since the new growth is most sensitive.

    Hey Tristan. Yes, more please! I would love to hear more about when to water them here in Central FL. Do you start watering when the spikes first appear? I have a one year old seedling from Palmer and I kept it out of the heavy rain this winter and am wondering when’s it safe to leave it out in the rain. Any tips on propagating them?

      @IngramOrchidsandMore  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there! It’s safe to leave out in the rain around Valentine’s Day. That’s usually when you can start watering lightly and gradually go from there as peak growth starts. You can grow Cyrtopodiums from back bulbs or from seed. Patience is key!

    What an awesome Orchid, where can you get on of these? Just as a suggestion maybe a video on different florida native orchids.

      Thank you so much for watching! Palmer Orchids and Odom’s Orchids may have some different ones for sale, but I would definitely do some research to see who is near you that possibly sells them! Thank you for your suggestion! Our most recent video is all about Florida native orchids found in the southern swamps and we have an Encyclia tampensis video too. As our personal native plants bloom, we’ll be sure to share them 😊
