As a medievalist whose work has primarily focused on German nuns, your covers of Hildegard’s original works have always been my favorite. I’m sure if she could hear them, she would be so proud.
It's always a treat to hear you cover these pieces, carried through time over 900 years to reach the unfathomable concept of "RUclips." When Hildegard wasn't busy advancing medicine, composing music, developing a conlang, running an abbey, or advising some of the most important political figures of her era, she was receiving visions of the Divine, which she captured in writing and art. What a woman!
When pieces of music like this exist and are performed by people like you, I can fully understand why people throughout history have believed in the divine. Beautiful work, Ms. Blingin'!
That's because the divine is real and this music is that I have been healed of a menstrual problem that doctors couldn't solve because of Gregorian chants I pray you venture more into it this peice is called love aboundsnin all things
I feel like listening to this just cleared a bunch of cobwebs out of my brain. Y'know, when you don't notice at the time that you've been consuming a lot of content and your mind's cache is full and you've been holding on to a lot of gunk that doesn't really matter. This piece is like ice-cold crystal-clear spring water washing away all of that.
That's because it is this sort of music is literally inspired by the divine I have been healed of mental and physical issues that medicine itself couldn't solve because of this music qitte a few time let alone the spiritual
I am an American amateur historian who was lucky enough to live in Europe with our family. We were blessed to live in Augsburg during it's 2000th anniversary. Later lived on the French border also. In my mind Hildegard and Eleanor of Aquitaine are easily the two most important women in European history and that their legacy still lives and is celebrated is amazing.. Sadly they don't exist for most Americans. Your channel is so special and you also are amazing. We salute you for keeping her alive. A person is not dead and gone as long as they are remembered. Thank You,!
I just finished a biography/novel of St.. Hildegard von Bingen, to hear you sing her song made me envision her world I was so immersed in! I love how medieval chants/hymns use the voice like an actual instrument while singing the words!!
5 notes in and I'm in tears. Thank you for bringing such resplendent beauty to us. Hildegard von Bingen was a great woman and you performances of her work are some of my favorites.
@kinpandun2464 I am trying to find the script in my house somewhere but I don't think she published it. If I do find it I will end up posting it in my channel posts or reciting or reading it in a video. It basically was about her life and her accomplishments and many songs
Beautiful. Truly. I am not a religious man, but I think music is the most magical and holy thing humans have created, and voices like yours raised up in glorious song are why. Thank you.
Utterly beautiful! Hildegard had a fascinating life and it’s lovely to see people still covering her work today. Congrats on the one million! Very well deserved. 🎉
My favorite composition of Saint Hildegard, sung by my favorite saint of vibes. How could this be any better? Congratulations on the big, big milestone!
This was just ethereal, felt both beautiful and deeply sad. Like the calm after a great tragedy had set, or the deep peice of a religious experience. Stunning.
Congrats on your subscriber milestone. I have had huge respect for the work of St Hildegard since I first learnt of her many decades ago, and have even been fortunate enough to visit her shrine in Germany. I am certain she would be touched and pleased that your stunning voice continues to keep her music alive centuries after it was written.
Gorgeous! Way to do your namesake proud! ^_^ Thank you for sharing your gifts & expanding our horizons towards the beauty of the past, which can be so readily cast aside when entrenched in modernity & visions of the future.😂
MAGNIFICENT!!!!! **goosebumps** ❤❤❤❤ CONGRATULATIONS on 1M! It’s so very well deserved! This shows that bards are still a necessary part of modern life.
Saint Hildegard von Bingen, pray for us!! (and thank you for the beautiful music, a long time fan here. Very excited to see this channel grew this much, well deserved for your talent!)
Started crying pretty much immediately after hitting play. This is so, so, so beautiful. Thank you to both you and the OG for sharing such heights of beauty with us 💚 Congratulations on a huge milestone! Ever since the fabled days of 2020, a Hildegard von Blingin’ notification hitting my inbox has perked me up immediately. To many more! 🎉
Such a beautiful song 😍I went to a women's college, so it's probably fitting that my choir director LOVED Hildegard, and inspired my own love of Hildegard's music. My choir director also taught the Early Music Vocal Ensemble class that I took as a senior & she tried to have us sing this for our performance -- unfortunately, there were only six of us & half of them were baritone or lower and couldn't quite get into tenor range, so we had to scrap it for the ensemble. :'D It's so lovely to hear it performed!
Oh, my goodness!!! Literally squealed loud enough to scare my cat! This is my favorite of von Bingen's work, second only to O Viridissima Virga. So happy to be one of your one million subscribers. Can't wait until this hits streaming. If you ever decide to a bardcore cover of Garbage, I would pass tf out. 🥰
Oh heavens tBetsy i feel lighter now. So purely beautiful. I'm convinced these sounds are assisting Angels, birds, faeries and everything joyful to drown out all the other stuff yes❤Thankyou from my heart.
worthy of every great voice that has sung throughout all of time you are a muse to so many. more inspired and made happy by you than you will ever know. and that is well deserved
I remember sitting in my grandparents' place looking at my grandfathers' CD collection when I suddenly found out Hildegard von Bingen was an actual person. For a second there I thought my grandfather had somehow obtained a Von Blingin album.
Thank you for doing this peice it means love abounds in all thing and it truly does as a Catholic who loves my girl hildergard her worl and gregorian chants it was wonderful please do more of her chants like those to he angels
Brilliant. Thanks for getting to 1,000,000 subscribers so you could create this. In regard to Vanishing Day, I'd be more expecting of stages, phased in, next time you think it's coming.
The roots of so much of the "mystical airs" background music can be felt so much in pieces like this. No wonder they do, back then they were also meant to allude to higher mysteries. Gorgeous performance, by the way, and congratulations on your very deserved milestone. The flock doesn't gather idly.
I'm a fairly new subscriber (since half 2024?) and I can't believe I didn't stumble upon your channel earlier. Your work is just pure gold! So excited to follow your journey further(more). As for this piece... ugh, it touches the heart and melancholia ... love it.
As a medievalist whose work has primarily focused on German nuns, your covers of Hildegard’s original works have always been my favorite. I’m sure if she could hear them, she would be so proud.
Thank you, that’s high praise!
Your voice is DIVINE
Indeed😭😭😭😭 since the second she sang the first note I know this is gonna be heaven😭❤❤
Agree it's subline.
Who is the singer? She is fabulous!!
Can't think of someone more deserving. Your talent is immeasurable, and I hope you keep making art that makes you happy!
Thank you so much, that’s so kind of you to say. ☺️

Total agreement. This song definitely touches the seratonin centers of the brain directly.
@TheForeignGamer - Atheists can recognize the lush beauty and emotion of well done liturgical music.

I like Philip Glass's work for much the same reason.
Excellent metaphor! I couldn't agree more.
Very well said 💚
I feel something similar, great description of what this music can achieve

Bingen. Last vowel is E
@@brianvector I was working on my tablet and mistyped. Fixed and thank you for the correction
Congratulations to the Queen of Bardcore!
Soul beautiful
Is this play published anywhere? I'm sure it could be a feminist thing for religious women. I'm curious to read it.

Angels sometimes visit us and let us listen their singing. I am grateful for that
That was the most heavenly music that I've heard in a while. Your voice is angelic.
This was just ethereal, felt both beautiful and deeply sad. Like the calm after a great tragedy had set, or the deep peice of a religious experience. Stunning.
It's not sad, though. The lyrics speak of love and the peace it gives to everyone, even God.
@TheMotherofTacos that's nice to hear, i never heard this hymn before so I'm only going by ear.
So beautiful, it is magical when the two Hildegards combine forces!
The crossover we've been waiting for
You have the *perfect* voice for Hildegard's work! Congrats on the 1-million mark!
This is a sanctuary I didn't know I needed. Thank you!
Divine clarity really is something else.
Your angelic voice really fits Hildegard's celestial composition. Her music is sublime. Thank you for this rendition 🌟❤️
