When I was 5 I got lost at Illuminations - it was pre-Illuminations: Reflections of Earth but still it makes me sad that there is no Illuminations any longer. It's the end of an era. Just another thing I will miss at Epcot along with Body Wars, Horizons and the original Journey of the Imagination.
"I will remember you..." Molly, you are a TREASURE!!! Well, my big annual trip to WDW is in March, 2020 and everything in Epcot is [seemingly] closed or under construction. AUGH! Oh, well, I guess I will really appreciate the new & improved Epcot when I re-visit in 2021. BTW, don't hate me, but I am not sad to see 'Illuminations' go. Time for a new show. I am also thrilled at the new entrance -- hated the monoliths. Here is hoping that Epcot 2021 is FANTASTIC! Keep singing, Molly girl!

Going back and watching these older videos and seeing what could have been pre-covid sorta makes me sad for the things that didn't happen or got changed. I'm always excited to see what is to come.
Great overview, but FYI, the Skyliner had a crash (minor collision at a station where one bucket was stuck and the one behind it hit, then the entire line was shut down) late night on Oct 5. It was down for well over an hour and people were evacuated by emergency crews around 11 pm, but fortunately it started running about 2 hours after the crash so everyone was able to eventually get off. However, Disney has shut it down indefinitely until the problem has been determined and can be corrected. Fun fact learned: each gondola has an emergency pack with a few packets of water, some waste bags, and a notebook. Non-fun fact learned: some of them had been broken into and things were removed from some of them.
Wow. Not cool on the pilfered emergency supplies! On one ride I was on a few days ago a fellow passenger pointed out the black box, and noted that the one in our car oddly didn't have the red tape on it. We didn't look inside, but I would have to guess that was one someone swiped stuff out of. Not cool at all!
WOW! Watching thisNOW is so interesting. I'm sort of thrilled that we have put of our trip until the end of next year. I don't know how much of Disney's ideas will be implemented, what they can now afford and what will be finished in time, but I am excited to see all the new stuff they can acheive. I watched your "rating EPCOT" video yesterday and while interested in a few of the pavillions (Japan), it seemed like they weren't very interactive like the rest of the parks. Seeing the vision in this episode brings on more excitement to get over there and see it all in living colour. As always, a great video. Thank You Molly and the hat was definately a must.

RIP Innoventions. I remember when it was called Communicore when I was a kid in the 80s. My parents would make dinner reservations on one of their computers for anywhere in Disney. pretty cool technology at the time.
Molly, so sorry for your loss of Fountainworks. Look forward to all the changes coming. It's unfortunate that the Skyliner already had an incident. It is a shame and Disney should have taken into consideration the amount of time it would take to rescue everyone from them. Not to mention thank GOD it was not in the middle of a hot day!
I also cried watching the preview of Epcot's feature! I worked there on my college program and it has a special place in my heart, heck all Disney does LOL. But thinking about the future of it and what is to come is amazing and I cannot wait! Also the fireworks made me cry too because of the little kid singing the figment song.
I look forward to all the changes coming to EPCOT. I was there when it first opened and I loved it. I was there for all the upgrades and updates........and I am certain this reimagining will be the best yet

The Ratatouille ride in Disneyland Paris is absolutely brilliant. You are going to love it Molly! I think that AllEars should send Molly to do a video in Disneyland Paris because she loves the France Pavilion at Epcot so much. We live in the UK and visit Disneyland Paris once a year. Hoping to make it to Disney World one day and we love watch Molly videos to help plan our dream trip.
Went to Epcot for the first time last month and one half reminded me of Disneyland’s Tomorrowland in the 70’s and the other half the Seven Seas festival.

We loved Epcot Forever! It had me crying the entire show. Honestly, they could keep it and I would be happy. I was ready for Illuminations to go into retirement. I am sad about the closing of many things in Epcot but Future World did need updating so I am looking forward to see what Disney will bring. And as you said, Disney will do a great job...so we wait and hope. By the way, love the metallic mouse ears hat! Wish I had purchased it in November when we were there.

It hurts seeing Communicore get torn down. The memories are still there but it still hurts. In a way I guess its like those Disneyland first who saw Natures wonderland torn down. I am sure they had many memories of that time, that era, that will never be again. I was there at EPCOT Center on day 1. The things I saw and experienced that day changed my life forever. I have so many story moments I could share about those 3 days. I may start a youtube channel one day just about EPCOT on day 1
The trackless ride system is also use in Pooh's Honey Hunt in Tokyo Disney Land. It is the best ride I have been on and can get up to a 3 hour wait time.
I'm not upset about most of the things that are closing because I haven't been to the park for 20 years and didn't see any of those things anyway. However, most of the places I used to work that you mentioned are gone - Circle of Life, Body Wars, and the Living Seas. I'm happy they re-did Living Seas though. I loved the aquarium, but the movie was horrible and people were mad at you for making them watch it (which we had to do since there was often a backup at the "hydrolators" and ride through the aquarium). I'm mostly upset about the closing of Horizons (which closed before I moved from Florida) and Journey into Imagination.
Molly, I recently found your vids when I began researching our upcoming Disney World trip and absolutely LOVE your work!! Seriously hope I run across you when I'm there to say thanks for the great content in person! :) One quick technical question for you. Since Disney has a rule about selfie sticks, I'm guessing that would also apply to gimbals. What are you currently using to film with your phone?
We have been to DL Paris and Ratatouille is so much fun. You will love it! I hope they eventually add the Chez Remy restaurant that is in Paris as that is totally adorable.
I’m excited for changes but here’s the thing...they’d never take a wrecking ball to Main Street USA. That’s basically what they’re doing by leveling CommuniCore West (Innoventions) and the Fountain of Nations. They want a festival center in EPCOT...okay...gut CommuniCore West and put a festival center in that. Don’t destroy it. Definitely pleased about the entrance change! It’s just going back to what was originally intended...can’t wait for the three pillar sculpture to return to the fountain. And the statue of Walt should be fantastic.
@@ferroaj Many Disney fan boards have short summaries (and also a good summary in a comment below that I unfortunately did not see until after I typed this;) ). Google Disney Skyliner accident and take your pick. The real short summary is it seems one failed to leave the Riviera Station as it should have and then got "rear ended" by the one behind it (and possibly a chain reaction for one or 2 more before everything came to a halt
Hi Love the video and the quality. So much has changed since we came 7 years ago. Will be back soon. (further to my last post will wait till 2021) Disney Paris is not as good as Florida or California. May I ask what camera do you use? I have a Samsung mobile but never use the camera on it. Linda my wife has been really enjoying your videos as it brings back so many happy memories. I found myself, this weekend, wondering how I would feel with 10 people in the gondola and stuck for a couple of hours in it. I don't particularly like people close to me for short periods so for hours and no real way to move? yeesh. (also expected more "gondola crash" videos when I got to work and clicked on the tooobz today. Maybe later. :) )
I’m bummed. I was excited for Spaceship Earth, and other rides. I’m also sad about club cool. However, isn’t there a place like that is disney springs? But, also, I’m relieved, that Future World is the part that will be under construction while I’m there, not World Showcase.
I believe I saw in another video (not sure which channel) that you can get all the Club Cool flavors at the Coke store at Disney Springs. They are of course not free there, but if there is one you like, you can probably get it. (there might also be some sort of sampler thing with small portions available).
How long is the ride on the skyliner from Epcot to Caribbean Beach? I feel it's not as exciting as my childhood on the monorail but it's a nice difference to the bus system!
Just come back from Orlando to UK. Missed so much of the old Epcot but plans look good, shame Disney takes so long to actually do anything. Was disappointed by Galaxy's Edge, although a night time wander was good. Best new attraction in Orlando? Without a doubt it's Hagrid. Simply the best.... By the way the Remy ratatouille ride in Paris stupendous! A real family attraction that works for everyone. I love it and my 6 year old grandson thinks it is amazing! Just subscribed on the basis of this vid. Really informative. Planning next year's visit already, wish Disney had a few more things ready by September.
The soda in club cool tasted the same. Not a single different flavor there. I’m glad it’s gone to be honest. I can’t wait to check out the Epcot experience 😍

Most excited about Mary Poppins but in the meantime I’m most looking forward to the Epcot 360 presentation so I actually fast forwarded that bit (sorry) so that I can enjoy it properly on my December trip.
Innoventions replaced Communicore. For me Innoventions was just not as enjoyable. But Ellen's Energy Adventure was an improvement over what was there before. So I am excited to see what they do with the Future World area. It has already changed significantly from opening day. I still have my original program from that day.
I believe most of these EPCOT renovations will be finished by 2021. The only one I don't believe will be finished by then will be the Mary Poppins attraction for the UK pavilion, which I believe will be finished by 2022.
What!? Oh man I was hoping to go to disney world again one day and do that rollercoaster design and make it all wild, because the girl I was with didn't want to do anything, so we just wemt up and down like an average hill.

I found myself, this weekend, wondering how I would feel with 10 people in the gondola and stuck for a couple of hours in it. I don't particularly like people close to me for short periods so for hours and no real way to move? yeesh. (also expected more "gondola crash" videos when I got to work and clicked on the tooobz today. Maybe later. :) )

Gabs I remember the Spaceship Earth before this one, narrated by Jeremy Irons. That one is still my favorite.
I’m bummed. I was excited for Spaceship Earth, and other rides. I’m also sad about club cool. However, isn’t there a place like that is disney springs? But, also, I’m relieved, that Future World is the part that will be under construction while I’m there, not World Showcase.
I believe I saw in another video (not sure which channel) that you can get all the Club Cool flavors at the Coke store at Disney Springs. They are of course not free there, but if there is one you like, you can probably get it. (there might also be some sort of sampler thing with small portions available).

How long is the ride on the skyliner from Epcot to Caribbean Beach? I feel it's not as exciting as my childhood on the monorail but it's a nice difference to the bus system!
Just come back from Orlando to UK. Missed so much of the old Epcot but plans look good, shame Disney takes so long to actually do anything. Was disappointed by Galaxy's Edge, although a night time wander was good.
Best new attraction in Orlando? Without a doubt it's Hagrid. Simply the best....
By the way the Remy ratatouille ride in Paris stupendous! A real family attraction that works for everyone. I love it and my 6 year old grandson thinks it is amazing!

DLP is my home resort...the Ratatouille ride is amazing but I got terrible motion sickness due to the 3D...I had to lay down on a bench afterwards!!

The soda in club cool tasted the same. Not a single different flavor there. I’m glad it’s gone to be honest. I can’t wait to check out the Epcot experience 😍

Most excited about Mary Poppins but in the meantime I’m most looking forward to the Epcot 360 presentation so I actually fast forwarded that bit (sorry) so that I can enjoy it properly on my December trip.

Innoventions replaced Communicore. For me Innoventions was just not as enjoyable. But Ellen's Energy Adventure was an improvement over what was there before. So I am excited to see what they do with the Future World area. It has already changed significantly from opening day. I still have my original program from that day.

I believe most of these EPCOT renovations will be finished by 2021. The only one I don't believe will be finished by then will be the Mary Poppins attraction for the UK pavilion, which I believe will be finished by 2022.
What!? Oh man I was hoping to go to disney world again one day and do that rollercoaster design and make it all wild, because the girl I was with didn't want to do anything, so we just wemt up and down like an average hill.
