I think, that Globo (a former associated member of EBU, which, during ownership of TMC, also, in this case, former member of EBU, French-speaking version is still part of EBU) reused their graphics into it, including logo, as well, as countdown and even the news intro (in broadcaster's homeland country, Brasil, it's called Jornal da Globo, the 1986 intro is a copy of Globo's 1980 intro of that newscast).

Globo was owner of TMC between 1985-1994, so the idents of both news programs have the same base.
