    You are amazing teaching about parasites, their features, and what they do. It so hard to get doctors to even test you for parasites when you have the symptoms so you are doing great so that ppl know what they should test for and in general just so ppl can become more aware of parasites. Thankyou!

    I want to thank this episode and this dr. This helped me immensely during what was the most horrible time in my life!! I FINALLY found a Lebanese dr who FINALLY helped me and saved mine and my kids life!!! I will forever be grateful for people and drs like you who work in this field and help others. My goal now is to help others and to dig into WHY these hospitals and other Drs are not helping us!.

      Good idea! A doctor who comes from where these worms come from. Or any endemic area. They have experience and knowledge about parasites. Drs here don’t want to deal with it. I’ve seen many doctors, and I really wish, I really really wish, that they all come down with the diseases they don’t acknowledge. And have somebody tell them there is nothing wrong with them.

      Hey everyone! I was treated with Ivermectin AND Albendazole (i think that's how its spelled. BUT that whole one pill thing? Would knock out the current round of adults and then those monsters would cycle all over again! I have THE WORST brain fog these days...so let me call cvs and find out the drs name!!! And the 6 week rotation I was on. ( I believe it was six weeks total) also can I just warn everyone. The die off from these things? Its hell. I have never ever been so sick. Don't let that stop you please! Just do the research on how to control it. I wasnt aware till after the fact. I was too focused on saving myself and two kids. And if not me? Then them! I even made my best friend sign to promise to get an autopsy done! Because I was NOT going into sepsis because of a damn UTI like 12 other drs wanted to tell me because they just piggy back off the last guy. I was lucky to see this dr in my hometown. Las Vegas. It and he was a gift sent from god in so many ways!!!! It was completely accidental I saw him that day. Supposedly the original dr was out. Or just didn't want to deal with me so sent his newest Dr in. The man was a kind hearted angel whom I believe was sent here just in time. Again though let me dig out all the paperwork it was such a dark time in my life. Ruined my marriage. Which turned out to be another blessing in disguise. Because someone who truly lovez you and knows you. Doesn't walk away and accuse you of being on drugs and delusional. Then when he finds out he is wrong just becomes more of an asshole instead of apologizes. . I just packed all that stuff up and told my girls to be thankful we get a shot at life again. And lets move on . . but I have had time to heal. And now im just angry that this is STILL an issue. Im so sorry for everyone who is still struggling!!!!

    The doctors in the US would rather let people die than to address the parasitic infection early. Even with a veterinarian sounding the infectious disease alarm. Doctors do not care about the needless suffering of their patients.

      Do you know why this is? Because I feel like I am living in the twilight zone. I am showing drs all of this stuff and they are like I see nothing and we cant test you or treat you sorry. I am pretty sure its killing me and my 2 little girls have it too. It's scary and so frustrating. I'm honestly hopeless at this point. In a way I know that at least if I die they will do an autopsy and find it and then at least they will help my kids!

    Doctors in the usa should be required to educate themselves on parasites. Im going through hell trying to get a proper diagnosis on the worm which has infested my body. Some doctors feel i am on drugs, others just dont take it seriously. There is red tape involved in getting to see an infectious disease dr who could actually diagnose my condition. Thank you for all this lectures. I send a bottle in the ocean to have an answer to my concern. In 2007 I was in India for 1 year, and in the early begining of my stay probably by mistake I drunk contaminated water. My symptoms was: anorexia with some days normal appetite, rapid loose of weight, general weakness, inconfort on the bowel, no diarrhea but the stools was like inflate by air and so no formed stools and no fever. I was certain it was parasitic infection but the doctors I visit the first 2 months of symptoms was not agree with my assumptions. I ended to visit an Ayurvedic doctor who diagnosed parasitic infection but he doesn't says me what was those parasites. After on month of Ayurvedic treatment without any improvement, I quit the treatment. I spend on month more and more weak, then I visit a reputed doctor who's also diagnosed a parasitic infection but unfortunately I havent understood the name he was giving for the parasites (I'm French and at the time was less fluente in English). When he've make the palpation of my belly, he says me: do you ear this noise of walking in the snow, it's typical of... (the name of the parasites that I haven't understood). The treatment was (it's hand writting, I can't read well and I don't remeber the brands) : take first Rablet-D 7 days, after those 7 days Oflin or Ofliw T2 5 days, after those 5 days Neutradin B for 5 days, Zentel 1 night repeat after 6 weeks, and reciepe to make electrolytes.
    He warned me that it would be a "horse's treatment" (meaning strong) and that will weak me more, and it was, but after the sixth week all the symptoms have ended. Later and for years, I was notice that in hot weather my stomac was upset and my appetit low. And after approximatly 10 years this have ended.
    So, 17 years later, after a lots of researchs, I'm still looking for an answer: what was "my" parasites? If anybody have an answer it would be great. Thank you for those who've read me.

    Also what type of parasites are thread or fiber sized and look like thread or fibers but do not cause swelling like the original filarial worms and only rashes. These things are everywhere coming from mostly my hair, ears, nose, eyes, privates and anywhere moist or with hair. They are causing rashes and red pinpricks all over my body and feel like they are stinging me sometimes but also itch very badly. I can feel them when they move and you can really see them move when they are wet. Also I dont know if this sounds crazy or not but they are attracting flies and mites to me and it feels like I'm in a syfymovie and I'm absolutely not crazy. Also the Erbsaid my white blood count was high at 16,000 so what do you think it could be? A few different parasites even if there are many that this could be so I can study them would even be helpful please doctor. Hopefully I am going to test for parasites next week but it's easier to do when you know a few parasites it could possibly be to test for. Thankyou.

      @becky1925g 7 месяцев назад

      The bladder parasite could be trichostrongylus, which is a common cattle parasite. I believe that is the parasite I had for about 2 years. It all started when I picked an asparagus straight from the garden and ate it. About 6 weeks later I was having symptoms of parasites in the lower colon. They quickly spread to my bladder and female organs. I took antiparasite medication for a year and a half but wasn't completely cured. So I started using a parasite zapper and they were gone in 6 months. You can make your own zapper. Dr. Clark wrote a book about parasites and you can look up the diagram for the zapper online or from her book if you can find a copy. If I remember correctly the name of her book was the cure for all diseases. Good luck.

    thank you so much for this great series of lectures. There may have been a bit of confusion about the term Cochinchina at the beginning of the lecture though. Dr Despommier suggested that "cochin" in cochinchina was ambiguous, and might refer to either India or China. Cochinchina is an unambiguous term for the south of Vietnam; the French called their Vietnamese colony Cochinchine as well. Bavay is a French surname, so I would expect him to refer explicitly to the French colony, which was formally administered since 1862, and with Bavay making his discovery in 1867, it would come as a real surprise if he did not refer to southern Vietnam. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cochinchina

    If anyone can help me I would be forever grateful. I have this parasite and am suffering severe symptoms. I have hepatitis C, malnutrition, high eosinophils, stomach issues, wet cough with larvae clearly visible in my sputum. I cannot find a doctor to test me. I was given ivermectin on Friday and will take a second dose this coming Friday. I also have MRSA. I desperately need help before it's too late. I live in West Virginia.
